00:01As I'm walking to the front, the craziest thing happened.
00:04There's a dog. He starts walking with me.
00:06And at first, you don't know about dogs.
00:08You don't know where the dog's from.
00:09So I'm kind of being a little leery of the dog.
00:11He's barking, chirping at me a little bit.
00:13And then he continues to follow me back to the front porch.
00:15I begin to knock on the house again.
00:17Let's go find him. Come on. Let's go.
00:19And then I make a gesture on body cam.
00:21It was kind of funny. I guess my dog guy, right?
00:23So I'm like, hey, let's go find this kid.
00:25And the dog immediately spins, runs off the front porch
00:29and is leading me back to the backyard of this house.
00:33What? Show me. Let's go.
00:34And it led me all the way back to the backyard.
00:36At that point, I'm thinking, okay, this kid's in this backyard.
00:39That's what's got me there.
00:40I get on the radio, just get more cars there.
00:42Because we have officers all over the neighborhood.
00:46I noticed the back door was open.
00:48And again, me, where would a three-year-old kid when it's a little cold go?
00:52Inside.
00:53Me and Officer Story exited the home at the rear door.
00:56Dog came to the front porch.
00:57And as we're exiting, the dog ran right back to the car.
01:00Officer Story followed the dog.
01:02I went around to check the garage, the open garage right there.
01:05And then the next thing I heard, Officer Story yell.
01:07He's right here. I got him.
01:09So we went over. It was in the SUV in the backyard.
01:12The kid was in the front passenger seat terrified.
01:15Hit the button on right there. Blow it right there.
01:16The dad mode turns on, and I'm trying to get this kid to hit the unlock button.
01:20He hit the door latch, and I just gave him the yank motion.
01:25And he yanked, and I pulled that door open quickly, and I don't think I've ever seen a happier kid
01:29in my life.
01:29He jumped out of the car, bear-hugged my neck, and wouldn't let go.
01:32Good job, buddy. Lassie.
01:36Lassie, man. Yeah, for real.
01:38Watch out.
01:39Lassie found it.
01:40Lassie found it.
