00:08As I was just about to go live, two cop cars just came zooming by towards the school,
00:16and an emergency alert went out.
00:21So this is not a rumor.
00:26The roads are being blocked off.
00:30You can see district employees blocking off this road.
00:39And other than that, there is no information.
00:44I talked to a concerned parent who's here waiting.
00:51He got a call from his son who is sheltering in place in the gym,
00:57and he's just waiting to hear from his other kid and is quite rightly nervous.
01:07There is a report of active shooter at the school, or again, I need to be sure that I phrase
01:14this properly.
01:15There is reports of people with a gun.
01:17I haven't heard any reports of gunshots, but all I've got really is the alert that went out just after
01:27I arrived on scene,
01:28which said that there is a suspected person with a gun described as female, brown hair, and wearing a dress.

01:49Unfortunately, I got bumped from my live stream by people calling me to tell me stuff.
01:56So right now, I'm getting reports that the district properties have been locked down, as well as ShopEasy.
02:09So I'm seeing RCMP entering the school, so I'm assuming that there's not any active threat right at the moment.
02:17So yeah, so for those of you just joining me live, active shooter incident at the Tumblr Ridge Secondary School.
02:28No reports of shots fired, just reports of somebody with a gun described as female, brown hair, and wearing a
02:38dress.
02:41The district facilities are currently in lockdown, as well, and staff has been requested not to leave.
02:49And the ShopEasy, at the very least, has also been closed downtown.
02:55I'm here on scene, so I can't really get any other information unless people call.
03:04And when I'm seeing RCMP entering the building freely,
03:11so I'm taking that to mean that there's not any threats directly.
03:17Obviously, there are people gathered over there on the other side by the path.
03:33Although, if you're not part of the investigation,
03:45do try and avoid the area.
03:48We have more emergency vehicles, sounds like RCMP, coming in from Chetwind.
03:59I'm basically at the far end of the field.
