00:00Come on bud.
00:02Toast gets so excited about life that sometimes he falls asleep.
00:10Toast has narcolepsy and cataplexy, which means that when he has really big feelings
00:15he might freeze in place or go down for a nap, but it doesn't hurt him and we've got
00:20him covered.
00:21My name is Laura and the Dodo asked me to share my dog Toast's ultimate pet routine
00:27and that's enjoying life in the little bursts between naps.
00:30Toast starts the day by roughhousing with his big sister, Lainey.
00:34She is an absolute sweetheart and lets him have a blast until he falls asleep.
00:40It might seem alarming to people, but it truly just means that he's having the time of his
00:44life and his body just needs a little time to catch up to all of the excitement.
00:48What are you doing, Toasters?
00:51Have you good night nights?
00:54Then we like to go for a walk.
00:56You can do it, good boy.
00:58This can get a little overwhelming for Toast because he's just so happy to be exploring,
01:03so we always bring his stroller in case he needs a little support.
01:06Let me know when you want to get out, sir.
01:10Snack time is also full of excitement.
01:13Even though he may fall asleep while eating, imagine how much fun it would be to wake back
01:17up to your favorite food being in front of you.
01:22Potty time seems to be one of Toast's biggest triggers.
01:25Come on, you can do it.
01:27He gets particularly excited because he knows he'll get a treat after he potties.
01:32He's such a good boy.
01:33So we patiently wait for him to do his business and come inside.
01:37Toast likes to end the day by playing with Lainey again.
01:41And it's really wonderful to see them together.
01:43You can do it, Toasties.
01:44Come on.
01:45And the best part is that he'll get to do it all over again tomorrow.
01:54Oh, Toasties.
