00:00The palace announced that President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. has not yet made a final decision
00:05regarding the invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the proposed Board of Peace
00:10Initiative. According to PCO Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro,
00:15no agreement has been finalized and no meeting has been scheduled yet.
00:20The government will only release information once there is a clear update. The palace is
00:25leaving it to the Department of Foreign Affairs or DFA to explain the invitations, possible
00:30message and implications to the international community, particularly concerning security
00:35and the West Philippine Sea in the Asia-Pacific region. The DFA is also expected to provide
00:40details on the President's upcoming trip to New York.
