00:12going to teach us a little bit more about it and bring up some amazing entrepreneurs to tell us
00:16how they AI. So let's bring up the oh so amazing Miss Alicia. All right how's everyone doing? We
00:29ready to learn some AI? Yes yes all right good to see everybody here. I have three amazing
00:34entrepreneurs who are using AI in their business that will be joining us today on the panel. The
00:40first is Miss Fields. She is the founder and CEO of Sweet Fields. Let's give her a round of applause

01:16off are you ready to talk about AI? Everyone ready? Yes yes. All right to start off Casey let's start
01:21off with you and if in 30 seconds or less you could tell us about your business and how you're leveraging
01:27AI. Like one way you're really leaning all into AI. Absolutely so again I'm Casey. I'm the founder of
01:33Blaze Group where Blaze means building leaders and accepting zero excuses and we're a tech company that
01:39is basically the duolingo of business finance for entrepreneurs. So our app helps them understand
01:44finance, financial literacy, capital raising and one way that we're leveraging AI in our business
01:50heavily is by having an AI business advisor that is programmed with Big Mamba's intelligence that
01:56teaches in the same way that elders in our family would. Wow wow I love it and how did you build that
02:01tool? Is that a chat GPT GPT or? I layered about two different language learning models one of them
02:07being chat GPT and another more proprietary one to engineer this intelligence. All right that's amazing
02:13all right that's amazing all right so moving on to you Jasmine same question tell us about your
02:17business and then tell us one AI tool that you're leaning all into. Okay hi everyone my name is
02:23Jasmine Lewis I am the founder and CEO of eBeauty. We are a skincare brand curated for sensitized
02:31dehydrated and dry skin and we are actually at the Beautycon area. How I use AI is in different avenues
02:39like I use it to help build my booth here. I use it to also kind of streamline any type of forms or
02:46customer analysis for things that we need to do like for social media and marketing especially
02:53because we're running with a smaller team. I love it I love it all right Ms. Fields now it's your turn.
02:59I am Ms. Fields my company is Sweet Fields and we are a decadent gourmet cinnamon roll company so we're
03:05centrally plant-based indulgence and one way that I'm really using AI a lot and currently in this time
03:12is mostly around like demand projections and making sure that we are minimizing waste
03:21and we're not over producing over ordering and creating spoilage which can be very costly. Wow
03:28and is it an AI tool you're using for that are you putting data into an AI tool to help you with that?
03:33So we're doing putting inputting data to help with that but we also do use Forecastly which assists us
03:41with that so it helps you know monitor our trends over yeah for different seasons of the year what's
03:48going on locally in order to assist us to minimize waste. And that tool you said is called Forecastly.
03:54Did everybody get that Forecastly? You got it? All right so Jasmine let's start with you on this next
03:59question so before AI let's talk about time so before AI what was the most time-consuming task for
04:05you in your business and how has AI changed that for you? I would say streamlining orders and kind
04:13of like what is our most popular thing and what areas it was coming from so I was I'm now able to
04:18take the data of not the actual customers addresses but like the cities or where they're coming from
04:24it could give me analysis okay are they ordering more in the wintertime in this part of the eastern
04:29area and we can't run ads or are they ordering you know in the north when it's in the summertime
04:34and then we can run ads there so that's kind of how we use AI. You are using it I love it I love it
04:40any specific tool you're using or a combination? ChatGPT right now. ChatGPT. Any ChatGPT users in the audience
04:47let's see where are you so look at that lots of ChatGPT I love it I love it Casey same question for you
04:53so before AI what was the most time-consuming task in your business and then now how has that
04:59changed? For sure it was definitely production for me so being an education platform we spent a lot
05:05of time recording content to educate people around topics editing that content playing it through
05:11loading it different places and now AI allows me to clone my voice okay take a script and it finishes
05:21the entire process in about 60 seconds right start to finish and it's perfect there are no redos there
05:27are no edits and I'm able to load the content onto our app real time and so from start from ideation to
05:34finish I could have something loaded within about 15 minutes and that's shaved off at least a week
05:40of the same process so Casey you've got some eyebrows raised in the audience here tell
05:46me what tool are you using for the for your voice cloning yes it's called 11 labs the number 11 but
05:52you spell it out labs no space in between everybody got that 11 labs.io is the the tool for this and so
06:01Casey how much time so you said it used to take a week and now how much would it time would it take so a
06:06task like that that would take a week and now you're using AI and your clone voice what's the
06:10time savings yeah I mean tops tops it would take me 15 minutes from like ideation to publication like
06:16it literally being pushed on the app and it used to take at least a week from just ideating developing
06:22the script scheduling with people who's going to take my stuff or if I'm doing it myself I'm having
06:26to do everything like sequentially one step at a time so it can easily save six and a half days for me
06:31so are you talking about going from 40 hours to 15 minutes Casey yes is that crazy or what everybody
06:37get that all right so that process thank you for sharing that miss feels your turn so the question
06:46is before AI what was the most time-consuming task in your business and now how how is AI change that for
06:52you and walk us through the time so in the last couple years we launched in grocery stores and that
06:58was very capital intensive and so with that we start applying for a lot of grants and if you're
07:06applying for grants you know that can take days it can take I mean hours days depending on how how
07:12vast or deep the the application is and I use chat GPT for that but really educating you know really
07:21inputting the data and chat GPT around the business and what we're trying to convey as far as messaging so
07:28that has really decreased that time which allows me more time for production and R&D so you're saying
07:34that you use chat GPT as your grant writer yes yes does anybody in the audience know how much it would
07:39cost to hire a grant writer somebody shout it out if you know how much would it cost for her to hire
07:43you're a grant writer okay five to ten thousand dollars I was gonna say ten thousand dollars so
07:52five to ten thousand dollars to have a grant writer write some grants for you and now she's saying that
07:57she uses chat GPT to write the grants for her for her business so don't sleep on this right don't sleep on
08:04this that was fantastic all right Casey let's start with you for someone in your industry who has never
08:10ever used AI before let's ask the audience first before you answer this has anyone in the audience
08:15never really tapped into AI before you haven't tapped in a little okay or just been a little
08:20anybody's like a little just dabbing into it so what would you say to them to try first thing Monday
08:27morning so this is over they wake up Monday morning they're like Casey what should I do when it comes to
08:33leaning into AI okay so I'm gonna give you a recommendation but first I want to ground you in the
08:38understanding that you are already using AI so anytime you open Netflix and then give you a
08:43recommendation for the next movie to watch that is AI based on your patterns it knows what you want
08:48right and so I would say chat GPT because they have an app because it is absolutely free you don't have
08:54to pull out a laptop and go to a URL you could use chat GPT in the same way maybe it's what things do
09:00you recommend I check out when I go on my trip to Italy right or build an itinerary for me and make sure I
09:05have an hour commute time in between each thing right recommendations right are a very real way
09:11to use it that's not like you know sidebar things that you'll never use again that's my recommendation
09:16I love that and if you don't have these tools on your phone make sure you download like the chat GPT
09:21app so you can use it as she's talking about when you need it and when you do download that app make
09:27sure you download the official one it says by open AI so miss feels let's have you take this question
09:33now for someone in your industry who's um never used AI before what would you tell them to try
09:38first thing Monday morning in my industry specifically or you know yeah um I'm definitely
09:44going to follow up chat GPT is is is a great place to start um no matter what it is that you're looking
09:53to accomplish whatever the goal is just remember whatever you put in is what it can spit back at you
09:58and you want to make sure that you are specific with the perspective or the point of view that you
10:05want it to speak to you from so if let's say you know it's summertime we're all trying to lose a few
10:10pounds here and there right you give it your measurements what's your weight what is your goal
10:16and what time and then say from the perspective of a fitness instructor what what should I do in order
10:23to ascertain this goal right I love that so thinking about what you need to get done something
10:28start with something right start with something yeah Jasmine for someone in your industry never used
10:34AI before what would you tell them to try Monday morning um for someone that's in my industry since
10:40I'm in beauty I'm thinking like okay we're an essence festival you've met a lot of people you can
10:45have it streamline your contacts based off of who and I love that I love that say like me I'm a beauty
10:51founder I may be looking for beauty editors I'm gonna go and find out who that beauty editor is
10:56I'm gonna have the AI go say hey what do they like to write about go find 20 articles please let me know
11:03how I could potentially pitch to them and just kind of circle the loop with that right right Jasmine
11:09um that was very strategic so you're saying ask AI like this is the person I want to approach
11:15and tell me specifically how I can approach them so it'll tell you the things that are important to
11:20them that sort of stuff so you're winning in that conversation absolutely I love it it's less
11:25research that you have to do and then you can get into the deeper nitty-gritty once you see okay they
11:31like to write about beauty they like to write about fashion but they also like to write about fitness
11:35somehow within that and wellness so you can figure out how to integrate it and introduce your brand that
11:40way and would you use chat gpt for that um I will use chat gpt um or even claud.ai yes yes so claud.ai
11:48claud.ai is also a very good tool claud.ai and it's great now for also using like larger context data and
11:57that sort of thing and I would also add perplexity have you used perplexity yet any of you ladies I heard
12:03about it a little bit a little bit so perplexity.ai is also a very good tool for doing research so if you
12:10haven't tried that one perplexity.ai all right so let's start off with you miss feels on this question
12:16what's one way that you're using AI that your competitors probably aren't
12:21yeah um so I'm really big on um again well in this season we're doing two things we're getting
12:34really granular around cost because we're in an expansion effort so um I'm using it a lot it's
12:41around our production schedule our demand schedule um and cost analysis but one other way I'm using it
12:49is for our R&D because we are also again expanding um our product line and we're using some really
12:57different products that are sometimes a really expensive to source so when you start inputting
13:04around what you're looking for um and how you want maybe your configuration of your recipes or whatnot to
13:11to to be it can really give you some really in-depth suggestions around how to approach
13:18creating the outcome that you're looking to right to to get yeah so this and this is one way your
13:25competitors probably aren't even thinking about yet right they're not even there yet yeah I love it
13:30Casey what's one way you're using AI that your competitors probably aren't yet absolutely and when
13:35I say this y'all it's no shade no tea okay um I love my competitors um but in this field of educating
13:43entrepreneurs especially when you're talking about overlooked communities that are serving black and brown
13:47folk um there aren't large budgets um usually with these folks right and so it's very very
13:52grassroots right so they're not taking all of their data from the applications and mining it to find
13:58patterns and all these things but I am I've actually been able to upload about uh 400 different
14:04webinar videos whether we have the chats and what people are saying in their conversations we've been able
14:09to um take transcripts of our different interactions with people and we're able to find trends and what our
14:14community does is they interact with finance and so we leverage those trends to public uh to publish
14:21federally trademark research reports on the state of black women entrepreneurs report we leverage that
14:26data to give insights um on the best ways to get uh founders to capital based on all of the conversations
14:32that we've had and how long it typically takes them to get to from point zero to point funded right and
14:38we've been able to collapse that time frame in our company from about three months typically to garner
14:43trust and trust the institution to understand how to do it now we're able to turn that in seven days
14:48and we funded about 49 entrepreneurs that way right wow we take all the back-end data that nobody uses
14:54in my industry and we literally turn it on turn it on its head to show entrepreneurs things that are
14:59more familiar to them to flatten their learning curve and if you were to hire a consultant company to do
15:04that for you with you said 400 webinars all this data how much how much do you think that would
15:10have cost i mean the cost savings here are at least a hundred thousand dollars i charge companies
15:14150 000 to come in for a year and do these same things for them so at least 100k right and so a
15:21hundred thousand dollars in savings but then the insights that you are able to produce with that
15:25sounds like it's amazing so really great insight on that one thank you thank you jasmine um mine is
15:31definitely gonna be cost analysis kind of what you said when it comes to manufacturing so we have
15:37glass packaging so i'm always having to source especially with the new the state of the world right
15:43now with tariffs and all of that i have to navigate that um so i can gather all the information from
15:49the manufacturers put the cost of everybody that they say including the ship me the way and maybe we
15:55can do a lighter you know cardboard packaging for it to lighten the weight because maybe i have like
16:0140 boxes coming in and you have to contribute to the weight of that actual cardboard that's going to
16:06be that's going to up the cost of your shipping so it's like little things like that that i don't want to
16:11do um and i feel like it would take a lot more time to do but the ai can do it i'm like okay the cardboard
16:18weighs this much i'm going to have 40 of these boxes and this is how many products it's going to be
16:22with this manufacturer what is going to be my shipping what's going to be the weight and can
16:27you give me the you know the options if i see by ocean if i you know however i however i need to be
16:34and and it's doing that so quickly for you so now you can take action and move so much quicker in
16:38your business which is important in your industry isn't it yeah i love it and even if it's like i use
16:44it as a ground point like a foundation because sometimes you're going to have to go and tweak it you
16:48you don't just take all the raw data you take it and you look at it some you know you have to make
16:52sure you know what you're looking at because it can produce errors it's still you know it can still
16:57produce errors but i use that as a foundational okay we're hearing that all the ladies are using ai as
17:03advisors as well do you hear that and all the cost savings and analysis how they're using ai tools
17:09as advisors all right so this is an important segment you might want to take out your phone and
17:14film them i'm going to ask them their top five ai tools so that you can also take these tools and
17:19implement them in your business are you ladies ready for this who wants to start first who wants
17:24to start first miss fields you want to start first all right your top favorite ai tools um i'm gonna
17:29give you three three okay um i'll give you chat chat gpt forecastly forecastly and canva because they
17:38now have their ai yes yes how many of you have canva accounts you have canva canva.com forward
17:44slash ai or when you go to canva click on their ai and it's amazing it can do so much for you great
17:50great great great ones jasmine um i'm definitely gonna say chat yeah yeah um mid-journey mid-journey
17:56image creator yep and canva i love canva and then there is another one in quad of course
18:04claude and then there's another one that integrates into like a document i can't think of the name
18:11right now okay all right so like integration ones that integrate into documents right all right and
18:17so she mentioned midjourney.com amazing for images and i know in the beauty industry using something
18:23like that can be so transformational like instead of doing full photo shoots you can now use ai image
18:29images absolutely i just use it as a complimentary not to replace i love it casey your top five so
18:35number one is grammarly it removes the need to pay a virtual assistant okay um number two i'll say
18:43gemini it is google's version of chat gpt but it's very verbose and so when i'm creating training
18:48materials for corporate training they need a lot of information and so uh gemini does really really
18:53great with that um i love mid-journey as well they give very like realistic views of black folk and not
19:00every um platform can do that uh well but sora s-o-r-a is my favorite for creating videos so if i want to
19:07create like uh commercials for my company i keyed into sora that it was created by open ai who created chat gpt
19:14and they do a bomb job of creating videos for me uh 11 labs is what clones my voice and i use that all
19:22the time to make a bunch of content um inside of my app i guess i've said yeah that's good golden
