00:00It's important for employers to be serious about implementing the change that we're talking about for a couple reasons.
00:07The first is just compliance, right?
00:09And we won't get into that today, but it's important that your policies represent or reflect the laws.
00:15Secondly, I'd say, though, for us, the argument that the Minnesota Business Coalition made in supporting the Crown Act was about its role in creating a more inclusive workplace.
00:24And that is so important because higher levels of inclusion, if you feel more comfortable at work to contribute and bring your frail self, it leads to higher levels of productivity.
00:37It leads to differential innovation and it leads to more growth for these businesses.
00:42And so as an employer, if you're interested in growth, which all of them are, it is certainly in your best interest to build inclusive environments.
00:50And the Crown Act is one way to do that.
