00:00In the afternoons we sing songs that are beyond words, we sing to Jesus Christ for what He has done for us, we sing to Him and worship Him because He is God. Brother, we must be clear about this: only God can be worshipped. God says, as we saw last week, that He does not share His glory with anyone. God shares His glory with no one because He is glorious, He is wonderful, the only God. But as we know from Scripture,
00:28that Christ is the Son of God and by nature is God, and therefore we can worship Him, serve Him, and glorify His name; that is why we worship Him, that afternoon as Christians, because we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is God, is King of Kings, Lord of Lords, is in control, and sustains the universe with the power of His word.
00:50And we trust in Him, that He can help us, and He can transform us; He is God, we must be clear about that, brother. And I want to read a verse from 1 Peter, chapter 5, verses 6 and 7, which tells us,
01:10Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Brother, we see here that the scripture tells us to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand.
01:30so that we may humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt us. In verse 7, where I want to pause for a moment, it says, "Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you."
01:42an attitude of humility in our hearts, when we cast all our anxiety on Him, when we acknowledge before God that we are weak, and that we cannot achieve many things, we lack the capacity, the power, or the wisdom to do them, and if there is something we often know how to do, but we lack the power to do it,
02:07So, an attitude of humility is where we cast all our worries, all our anxieties on God, that God is the only God who created the universe, as the scripture says, lift up your eyes, and see who created all these things, that is, we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, we know that He is powerful, and then He tells us, because He cares for you,
02:37Cast all your worry and anxiety on God, because He cares for you. God cares for us, brother; God loves us. God gave His Son for us, so He can take care of us. He has the power. There are things we don't have the power to take care of ourselves.
02:57There are things that are beyond our control, and we have no power to control them; often anxiety arises from this, because we lack the ability to control things.
03:09and that things are done the way we want, or when we want, or that we lack the capacity to see beyond today, that is, what will happen in the future,
03:19Then that produces anxiety and worry in our hearts, restlessness in our hearts, but the word of the Lord tells us, cast all your anxiety on Him, on what?
03:31Cast all your worries and anxieties on God, for He is in control, and He tells us here, because He cares for you, brother, that we should live with that in our hearts.
03:45That God takes care of us, that God takes care of us, that is a reality, but many times we live as if God did not exist, so what happens when a man lives like that?
03:57When a woman lives like this, it produces anxiety. We live in a world where there are many bad things, a lot of worry about television, about everything, there are a lot of problems, we have children, and so on.
04:09And it gives us control, and that produces anxiety in our hearts, but the word of God, as Christ says, "My peace I leave with you; my peace I give you, but not as the world gives."
04:20If, as I give you my peace, the peace of Christ, then trust in the Lord, for He cares for us, and promises that He will be with us until the end, until the end of this life.
04:32But then He will be with us eternally, eternally, Lord. We thank You for that afternoon, Lord. Help me, Lord, to have that trust in You, Lord. You are in control, You are Almighty.
04:44You are God, you can do all things, Lord, help me, Lord, to see this reality with our spiritual eyes, Lord, we thank you for this afternoon, Lord, bless the word,
