00:00I was hoping that you could just discuss the importance
00:02and intentionality behind having an all-black writers' room
00:06and all-black directors this season.
00:09Yes, you know, this is such a black show,
00:13and it's about black love,
00:15and it's about, you know, being a black woman
00:17and black marriage and friendships.
00:20And for me, I just was like,
00:22I just want an all-black writers' room to have a shorthand, right?
00:25I don't want to have to, you know,
00:26kind of describe the nuances of what this means
00:30and what that means.
00:31And actually what ended up happening is that
00:33I was able to have just people in the room, right?
00:36We talked about all different kind of things, you know,
00:38that we have a single man in the room,
00:40we have a married man and father in the room,
00:43you know, we have some mothers in the room.
00:45And so we were able to talk just as humans,
00:47and I think that's what makes the show strong
00:49is that we bring our own life experiences to the show,
00:53and we happen to all be black.
00:56And so we're going to talk just as humans,
00:58and we're going to talk just as humans,
00:59and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:00and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:01and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:02and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:03and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:04and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:05and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:06and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:07and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:08and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:09and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:10and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:11and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:12and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:13and we're going to talk just as humans,
01:14and we're going to talk just as humans,
