00:00How y'all doing out there?
00:04Do we have any Louisianians in the building?
00:08Hey, hey.
00:12504-225-337, y'all out there?
00:17Yeah.
00:26To the right.
00:27To the right.
00:28To the left.
00:37Hey, hey, hey.
00:39Let's go.
00:41Y'all know what it is.
00:51Ladies and gentlemen, I want to bring somebody special to the stage.
00:54AT&T, Miss Milena, you come on the stage right now, mama.
00:56Let's go.
00:57Let's go.
00:57Let's go.
00:58Let's go.
00:59Let's go.
01:00Yeah.
01:01What's up, Essence Festival?
01:02I hate to break up the party, Cupid, but we have to get down to business.
01:08I'm Milena Albright, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility here at AT&T.
01:15Well, Milena, you know, we just was going through the Cupid Shuffle.
01:18But what I really wanted to do is do a little slide to the right, slide to the left, right foot, left foot, then turn, right foot, left foot, then turn, not flex.
01:29Come on, flex.
01:31But first, first, we have to let everybody know why we're here.
01:35I'll go flex.
01:35I'll go flex.
01:37AT&T is committed to helping close the digital divide.
01:40That's the gap between those who have connectivity or access to the Internet and those who don't.
01:45And we know that access is key to fully participating in our digital world.
01:49And, Milena, what's so important is we saw during a pandemic how many families didn't have access to Wi-Fi.
01:55During that time, right here in Louisiana, one out of every four families did not have access to the Internet, and that's extremely messed up for all the people out there.
02:03Exactly.
02:03We know that AT&T Dreaming Black represents where success looks like anything you can imagine or dream.
02:10Now, how can you go after those dreams without being connected?
02:14For that very reason is why, in 2021, AT&T made a three-year, $2 billion commitment to help bridge the digital divide.
02:22We've given out thousands of devices and access to the Internet.
02:26We've launched 23 connected learning centers across the country, and we have a new learning center coming up in New Orleans soon.
02:33We're hosting several free laptop distribution events throughout New Orleans, giving away 500 laptops to families that need them most.
02:40And I have a friend with me, Dr. Calvin Mackey from STEM NOLA, who is collaborating with us to meet the growing needs to combat the digital divide for families in New Orleans.
02:48That's real dope, man.
02:49So, y'all make some noise right now for Mr. Calvin Mackey from STEM NOLA, y'all.
02:54Y'all give it up.
02:56You see, AT&T is closing the digital divide, one laptop at a time.
03:01Now, let's learn our new, let's learn my Lulon dance.
03:06Now, Cupid, we don't have time for that, but let's do the old Cupid shuffle.
03:12That's cool.
03:14That's cool.
03:14That's cool.
03:15Cool.
03:16All right, now, that's his family.
03:17You know what it is.
03:18It's your boy, Cupid, the Lulon dance king.
03:20So, y'all get up on y'all feet no matter where y'all are.
03:23Let's go.
03:24Follow me.
03:24Here we go.
03:25One, two, three.
03:27Let's go.
03:28To the right.
03:30To the right.
03:31To the left.
03:33To the left.
03:35Nine kick.
03:36Nine kick.
03:38Come on and walk it by yourself.
03:40Let me seek you to, down, down, do your dance, do your dance.
03:45Down, down, do your dance, do your dance.
03:48Down, down, do your dance, do your dance.
03:52Down, down, do your dance.
03:54Let me seek you to, oh, oh, yeah.
03:58Hey.
03:59Yeah.
04:01That's it.
