01:20Okay.
01:20All right.
01:21So, this is really amazing.
01:24Target is committed to investing $2 billion in black-owned businesses by 2025.
01:33That's $2 billion, y'all.
01:35Not with an M.
01:36Right?
01:37$2 billion.
01:38They're really putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to
01:42investing in black-owned brands.
01:45And that is incredible.
01:46I love Target.
01:47So, let's get to these products.
01:49Okay?
01:49First up, we have an incredible brand.
01:52It's called Be Rooted.
01:53You guys have probably seen this in the school and office section at Target.
01:58These really incredible stationary items.
02:01So, Be Rooted.
02:01This was founded by Target Accelerator alum Jasmine Foster.
02:07Okay?
02:07So, the first item right here.
02:09This is the Be Rooted 2324 monthly, weekly, and academic planner.
02:17Now, I know everybody's busy.
02:20I know that there is an app for everything.
02:22But me, personally, I love reaching over it and being able to write things down.
02:26If I have my to-do list, something pops in my head, you write something down.
02:31This can keep your life organized and get your life together.
02:35All right?
02:36The close-up is getting it.
02:37I also want to remind you guys, if you're watching from home.
02:40Hey, everybody from home.
02:42If you're watching from home, you can get a shoppable experience if you go to Pinterest TV.
02:48We're going to have all these products there.
02:50You can drop it right in your car and support these black-owned brands.
02:53All right?
02:53So, back to this planner.
02:55It is so incredible.
02:58Look at this.
02:58You have all these cute little stickers inside where you can note birthdays.
03:03You can put that mani-pedi.
03:05Ladies, we have to remember self-care, okay?
03:08So, how about a planner that actually makes sure that you're doing that for yourself?
03:12And little hearts.
03:13Really, really cute.
03:14This is the Be Rooted 202324 monthly, weekly academic planner.
03:21Awesome!
03:21All right.
03:23So, up next, we have the Be Rooted Rule Journal.
03:28Trust the journey.
03:29This is incredible.
03:29And we can't skip over how incredible this artwork is, right?
03:34To have this in your office, first of all, it's adding a little splash of color to your desk.
03:38But then it has images on it that reflect us.
03:41And it's not a particular person, right?
03:43Like, this kind of looks like me right now with two ponytails.
03:47That's so incredible.
03:49So, this could be you on any given day.
03:50It has artwork on it that reflects us and what we look like.
03:54Available right there at Target.
03:56Trust the journey journal.
03:58It's so incredible.
04:00I am just recently got into journaling.
04:03Journaling is a method of self-care, y'all.
04:07So, and it's not always just like a diary, right?
04:10You can put your affirmations in here.
04:12You can put things that you want to accomplish in your life.
04:15There's something about manifestation when you write it down.
04:18So, you can get one of these journals, and it will be beautiful on your desk.
04:23Take a look.
04:24Also, think about back to school, right?
04:27You can also use this for back to school.
04:29Your kids can put their homework assignments in here.
04:32Really, really great.
04:35Okay, and up next, we have the B-Rooted Journal Dream Chaser.
04:40So, again, writing those affirmations in here.
04:43Put the date at the top.
04:44Like, visit it a month from then and see, like, if you've accomplished all that you want to accomplish.
04:49And look at this.
04:50I mean, black woman personified.
04:53All the fashion, all the things.
04:55So incredible.
04:57Put it in your cart if you're watching your Pinterest TV.
05:00Okay, and then up next, this is what I love.
05:04These affirmation pens.
05:07So incredible.
05:08So, you need something to write with.
05:10But why not have something to write with with actual affirmations?
05:14Y'all know we've been going through it in the pandemic, sitting at Zooms all day, and then writing notes.
05:20And then you can have sayings on your pen like, dream it, believe it, manifest it.
05:26When you're having those moments, let your pen remind you.
05:29So, that is the three-pack affirmation pen.
05:36And this is a really great gift for someone, right?
05:39When you're trying to think of, oh, what do I get my boss for her birthday?
05:43What do I get for my daughter's teacher?
05:46These are really, really great gifts for that as well.
05:49Last but not least, talk about self-care.
05:54We got to stay hydrated, right?
05:57So, you can have this amazing Be Rooted lidded tumbler there.
06:01Put your water there.
06:02You can put your iced coffee.
06:04And it is absolutely gorgeous.
06:05Once again, the art is absolutely beautiful.
06:09It's very abstract.
06:10So, it can be us on any given day.
06:13So, incredible.
06:15And that is Be Rooted.
06:16That is available at Target.
06:18Again, if you are watching at home, you can go to Pinterest TV and shop live with us right there.
06:26All right, y'all following me?
06:27Remember, I'm quizzing somebody, and somebody's going to win all of this.
06:30All right?
06:31Be Rooted.
06:33She's repeating after me.
06:34She's like, Be Rooted.
06:35I'm listening.
06:36Okay.
06:37Up next.
06:37Now, this is what I really love about black-owned brands.
06:42These are products that were created by entrepreneurs that saw a problem that there was nothing in the market to help and fix it for them, right?
06:52And, you know, as black women, as people of color, we have different things going on with our skin, different ways that we can treat it.
07:00And this is an incredible brand called Undefined Beauty.
07:03It is a – their slogan is Nourish Your Glow.
07:08Which I love.
07:09It's nothing about covering it up or changing it.
07:11It's nourishing the glow that you already have.
07:13It's such a beautiful message.
07:16So, it is a clean, plant-based skincare line.
07:19There's a lot.
07:20Just because it's on the shelf, just because the marketing is whatever it is, doesn't mean it necessarily has ingredients that are good for you, that are clean for your face.
07:27So, Undefined Beauty, let's go through these incredible, incredible brands.
07:32So, first we have the R&R Cleanser.
07:36And I've actually reviewed all these products on Shop Essence Live.
07:39If you watch the show every week, 6 p.m. on Pinterest TV.
07:436 p.m. Central Time.
07:44So, I have used all of these products.
07:47And I tell you, my skin has never been more glowy.
07:50Just more like – I look like I've been drinking water and minding my business every day.
07:55So, the R&R Cleanser is an absolutely amazing natural cleanser.
08:01And it has green tea and aloe.
08:04Now, those are our natural ingredients that will really, really help with inflammation and keep your skin clean.
08:11And it's gentle.
08:13Gentle cleansers are really important as well.
08:16Up next, we have the R&R Gel Cream Moisturizer.
08:21We have to moisturize, right?
08:23And the moisturization – just think about, like, a piece of fruit that's left out in the sun that never gets any moisture.
08:30What happens to it?
08:32Right?
08:33So, we need to moisturize our skin.
08:35And this is a really, really amazing gel cleanser.
08:39All right.
08:40Now, I posted a joke about this.
08:43Sunscreen.
08:44We put the wrong sunscreen on.
08:46I was looking at some pictures of an old family vacation.
08:49I'm like, why do I look so pale?
08:50And I zoom in, and my sunscreen, it just left all this white film on my face.
08:55How many people have had that problem in the past, not finding sunscreen that blends in with their skin?
09:00All right.
09:00So, Undefined Beauty has the most amazing tinted R&R sunscreen serum.
09:08And it is great.
09:09It comes out tinted.
09:11And it protects your skin, but it doesn't have you looking like you were diving in some powder.
09:21See?
09:22And it has, like, a beautiful – look at that.
09:24Look at – wait.
09:25Okay.
09:25Here you go.
09:26Look at that.
09:27So amazing.
09:29Right?
09:29So, that's – somebody that couldn't find the right sunscreen, they created it.
09:34These black women are getting it done for us.
09:36Okay?
09:37So, that is – this is Undefined Beauty.
09:41Give it up for Undefined Beauty.
09:42I know she ain't here.
09:43Usually in Shoppers is like they'd be here, but give it up for that.
09:47Okay.
09:48Now, up next.
09:49This is a really incredible brand.
09:52This is actually exclusively available at Target.
09:55And I absolutely love this line.
09:57It's called Thread Beauty.
09:58And it was actually founded by Melissa Butler.
10:02Has anybody ever heard of the lip bar?
10:05Yes.
10:06So, I love their lipsticks.
10:08They have expanded since then.
10:10And now, Melissa has created this incredible brand that is marketed towards the Gen Z audience.
10:16So, if you have any younger people in your life, heck, I'm using it.
10:20My mom is using it.
10:20So, we're all using it.
10:21But I know they're marketing it to younger people.
10:23But it's incredible.
10:24What I love about it before we get into the products, the price point is incredible.
10:29Most of the products are all $8.
10:33Can you – we know how much makeup is running nowadays.
10:37Like, you can spend $100 on three items easily.
10:39But this, quality products, everything, $8 price point.
10:45So, up first, I love this.
10:48This is the Thread Beauty Complexion Stick.
10:50And what they say is, similar to the other product of nourishing your glow, the point of Thread Beauty is not to cover up or change your face, but to enhance what you already have and make you, like, the best you as possible, which I love.
11:07So, with the Complexion Stick, it's actually multi-use.
11:10They have such a wide range of shades.
11:13You can find one that matches your skin, and then that could be, like, your main complexion.
11:18Put one that is lighter, and that could be kind of, like, your concealer.
11:22And then you can get one that's darker, and that could be your contour, right?
11:27Contour.
11:29Or you can just find the one that matches your skin.
11:31Sorry.
11:32Sorry, Pinterest.
11:33Sorry at home.
11:34They're just, like, so into it over here.
11:37Okay.
11:37You can find the one that matches your skin, and that's all you use.
11:41I know a lot of the times we're looking at social media, and we're getting intimidated.
11:46Like, not everybody's walking out with a beef.
11:47Like, I do not look like this during the week, y'all.
11:51I have a makeup artist here helping me.
11:53Most of the time, we're just getting on Zoom calls.
11:55We just want to look presentable.
11:57Thread Beauty is such a great solution for those people that just want a fresh face.
12:03So, when I tried this out, it was less like a cover-up and more like an eraser.
12:08Like, if you have a blemish on your face, you can put this on and just pat it on, and you're done.
12:14The complexion stick is amazing.
12:18Okay.
12:19And then we have the Gloss-It Lip Gloss.
12:22These lip glosses are so, so great.
12:25They come in such a wide variety of colors, and they give you a little sheen to your lip gloss girl.
12:33Look at that.
12:36And believe it or not, they have scents.
12:38So, it's kind of nice when you put that on.
12:40It refreshes you.
12:41Like, this one smells like peppermint, which is really, really refreshing.
12:46Then, we have the Thread It Color It Lipstick.
12:49I love these Color It Lipsticks because if you see how it is shaped, here, get a close-up here.
12:56If you see how it is shaped, it has that point.
12:59Sometimes, some of us struggle.
13:00We don't have that defined line on our lips, and it's hard to, like, really get a precise border around it.
13:08Well, this is designed to really help us.
13:10It's literally like a crayon.
13:11So, we can easily color inside the lines.
13:14Right, ladies?
13:16Really, really great.
13:17Once again, that is Thread Beauty, and they have such a wide range of things available at Target.
13:24We're just highlighting three here, but I definitely encourage you guys to go to target.com backslash blackbeyondmeasure.
13:31Can we put the, let's put the QR code back up?
13:35In case they didn't scan it, you can scan this QR code, right?
13:40And it'll take you to a curated shopping experience with all these products and more.
13:44Remember, a hundred, over a hundred black-owned brands that you can shop at Target, which is incredible.
13:51All right, we have a couple of more things left for y'all.
13:54How are you guys doing, though?
13:55You enjoying Essence Festival?
13:57It's day three.
13:59We're going to miss y'all.
14:00We're going to miss y'all.
14:01But I hope you guys had a memorable, memorable year.
14:05Okay, so up next, we have Elevation by Tina Wells.
14:09Tina Wells, see, this is a Target-exclusive stationery line.
14:14She's a strategist, entrepreneur, and author.
14:18So, we have another really incredible journal here.
14:22It is a leather, it's a vegan leather premium journal.
14:26And again, what do we say about journals?
14:29It is a form of self-care.
14:31We don't have to put our deepest, darkest secrets in here.
14:33I know some of us are really scared of somebody finding it.
14:36But you can also put it, you can also put your affirmations in here as well, right?
14:41Put the things that you want to do, your to-do list.
14:43There's nothing like just reaching over and writing it down.
14:46Sometimes we don't want to fumble and try to find an app to do all that.
14:49We just want to reach over with our beautiful, beautiful journal on our desk and take those notes.
14:53Then, we have The Elevation Approach.
14:58This is an incredible book where she talks about how to harness the power of work-life,
15:04harmony to unlock your creativity, creative joy, and your biggest goals, right?
15:10That is really, really great.
15:12So, you can read this and learn some tools on how you can have it all.
15:16You can have work-life balance.
15:18I know that is the question that everybody is trying to answer for themselves.
15:22And she has some really incredible strategies in here.
15:27Amazing.
15:28Okay.
15:30Then, we have this.
15:32Look at this.
15:33Creative joy.
15:35Right?
15:35It is an incredible little tote bag.
15:42And we know at the Superdome, you can't bring big bags.
15:45Right?
15:46You have to have a small bag.
15:47This could be a makeup bag.
15:49Sometimes, we have these huge tote bags, and you're trying to find the one thing, or you
15:53need your wallet, or you need your keys.
15:55These things are really, really great to keep your purses organized.
15:59So, this is really incredible as well.
16:01Take a look.
16:02Take a look.
16:04Now, remember, if you're just tuning in, this is Shop Essence Live in partnership with Target.
16:09We are coming to you live from Essence Fest in New Orleans.

16:33And that is where you can shop with them.
16:35When you shop there, all proceeds go to the people that you are buying from.

17:00We love those versatile outfits, right?

17:05So, you can stand out in style with Liberty and Justice.
17:08It is a new black-owned swimwear line exclusively available on Target.com.
17:14Okay.
17:15So, we're going to check out.

17:19I do love.
17:20Can y'all see?
17:21Let me turn over.
17:22I do love this detail right here.
17:25We love those details that are flattering, but you still feel like you get the coverage, you know, that we need.
17:32It's really, really amazing.
17:34And then we have this amazing pattern here with a cross-body back.
17:39All these are pinned on Pinterest if you want to shop with us live.
17:43And then last but not least, we have this incredible cover-up, which you can combine in many different ways.
17:49You can wear the cover-up with the pink or just be matchy with the cover-up and the swimsuit.
17:57Really, really great.
18:00All right.
18:01Have y'all been paying attention?
18:04Who feels like they are confident that they can come up here?
18:07I'm going to ask you two questions.
18:09And if you get them right, you will walk away with this entire Target collection.
18:17Okay.
18:18Okay.
18:18Come on up.
18:19Come on up.
18:21Come on up.

18:30She's got your mic right there.
18:33All right.
18:34I can stay in my seat.
18:35Oh, you're going to stay in your seat?
18:36Can we get a cross shot?
18:37Stay right there.
18:38Stay right there.

19:04You say something.
19:04Hello.

19:19All right?
19:19I'm making multiple choice.
19:20Okay.
19:21How much is Target committed to investing in black-owned brands by 2025?
19:27That's $2 billion.
19:28Oh, snap.

19:31That's one.
19:33She's very confident.

20:23have a stage at Essence Festival.
