00:21Reaching for resources crucial to educate our community.

00:36We gotta thicken the curriculum and rewrite beauty school textbooks with texture.

02:15I have the pleasure of leading diversity, equity, and inclusion for the Professional Products
02:20Division of L'Oreal North America.
02:23And I'm super excited to be here on stage with my good friend, Tippi Shorter Rank.
02:29She is a global educator and a celebrity hairstylist to some of the biggest names in the industry.
02:36Some of whom you've seen on the stage, you know, over the past few years at Essence Festival.

02:43What's happening?
02:44Essence Festival.
02:45In addition to all of that, I'm also an advocate.
02:48So for the last three decades, I have been pushing for greater representation within the hair industry.
02:54Yes.
02:55And at L'Oreal, we have a commitment to create beauty that moves the world.
03:02And with that, we have a responsibility to make sure that the professional salon experience is inclusive.
03:09And that's why we want to invite you this evening to be a part of our Texture of Change movement.
