00:30Hello, everybody. Welcome to Countdown. On Wednesday, May the 28th, we've got two new challengers today. One will be so lucky to win, the other one will have tears on their pillow tonight. Who will that be? Let me just introduce you to the team. And you've got to be certain of your words when Susie Dee's about. Alongside her, of course, all this week, we have Harry Aikens, our ET. And often heard the whisper, give me just a little more time. It's Rachel Riley.
00:58I wouldn't say often, Colin. Sometimes. On a rare occasion, on all those song titles, I know what you're thinking. Can it be that time again? I still don't know why it's not a bank holiday. It's Kylie's birthday. The greatest human being on earth is 57 today.
01:13Harry, I'm guessing you like Kylie because I hear Kylie every time you're introduced on Gladiators because Nitro's dances are all a wee bit Kylie.
01:22Yeah, give it some of that.
01:24There it is!
01:25Yay!
01:26I love it.
01:29Yeah, night fever's always been a little bit of a thing for me, but I don't know. I guess I was just left to it. Nitro's all about that feeling and, you know, he's a big ball of energy, so I can't stop moving.
01:40Love it. Great stuff. Fantastic. Right, let's meet our two challengers. So, Tom Gibbon is first today, originally from Pontefract. How are you doing, sir?
01:49I'm all right, thank you.
01:50Yeah, nice. And you say that the thing about Countdown is so close to your heart because it's where you learn to read and write.
01:56Yeah, I've watched it all my life and that's how I learn, yeah.
01:59So, you've played so many games at home, finally. What made you apply in the end? Because, hey, if it's been your life every day, you took your time.
02:08Well, I thought I'm nearly 40. Got to do it now.
02:10Well, well done for applying. And a year earlier than Guy Crozier managed it because he's 40 already. Joins us from Dover. How are you today?
02:19Very well, thanks. Good morning.
02:20Listen, I know both nerves are jangling, but you know about pressure in games because you play speed chess, which, you know, we've all probably seen a clip of it or watched it.
02:29It's phenomenal, isn't it? Especially they're hitting the button. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Tell me a bit about that.
02:33Well, my favourite type of chess is called bullet chess. You have one minute on your clock each to play the whole game.
02:38No.
02:39Often you've got to actually move the piece before you've seen what your opponent's done, you know, to try to pre-empt and protect that time on the clock.
02:44So, yeah, it does get a bit hectic and crazy.
02:46Right, well, listen, here we go.
02:4830 seconds around Guy, Tom, equal luck to both of you.
02:53And randomly, Tom, we put you in that champion's chair.
02:56You still have to earn that.
02:57You're picking the letters.

05:32Just six.
05:33Just the six early doors, though, Tom, what's the six?
05:36Shaker.
05:36And for you, Guy?
05:38Sneaker.
05:39And the old sneaker head here.
05:41Well done to you.
05:42Excellent stuff.
05:43Can we add anything else to sneakers?
05:45We have Hawkins for eight.
05:47Yeah, you can spell it H-E-A-R-K-E-N-S,
05:50and it means to listen or pay attention.
05:52Good.
05:52Well cleared up.
05:53I was wondering about that.
05:54Right, on to the numbers in your picket song.
05:56Can I have two large, please, Rachel?
05:58You can, indeed.
05:58Two from the top, four little.
06:00First numbers of this contest are three, two, nine, one,
06:06and the big two, 125.
06:09And you need to make 952.

06:46Yeah, 952.
06:47I like Tom's little smile about 10 seconds in, darling.
06:50He's like, yes, on the board.
06:51Off you go.
06:52So we did 25 plus 1 is 26.
06:55Yep.
06:55Times the 2.
06:57Is your 52.
06:5852, and then 9 times 100.
06:59Well done.
07:01Yep, same way.
07:02Pass it on over.
07:05Well done.
07:0810-point siege, guys, on 25 now, and Tom's on the board,
07:11which is great as we get this tea-time teaser.
07:13Sir Asset.
07:15Sir Asset.
07:16This person can lead you to a female relative.
07:19This person can lead you to a female relative.

07:24Yes, this person can lead you to a female relative.
07:40A sister was the tea-time teaser.
07:42We have two challengers today in Tom and Guy.
07:45And it's early doors.
07:46Let's just get on with it, Mr Crozier.
07:48A consonant, please, Rachel.
07:50Thank you, Guy.
07:50L.
07:51And another.
07:53W.

08:45Guy?
08:50Er, just a six.
08:51Yeah, and Tom?
08:52A six.
08:53All good, Guy?
08:54Er, sawing.
08:55Sawing, yes.
08:55And Tom?
08:56Grains.
08:57And grains?
08:58Yeah, absolutely fine.
09:00We always have hopes with the INGS that we're going to hit an eight.
09:04You know, anything less always feels a bit of an anti-climax, doesn't it?
09:06But it was a difficult enough round.
09:08How did we get on, Susie and Harry?
09:09We have sangrail for eight.
09:12I thought you said sangria, but that's not there.
09:16It is there.
09:17Sangria was there for seven.
09:18That's where we started.
09:20And we ended with sangrail.
09:22Yes, it's another term for the Holy Grail.
09:23Oh, fantastic.
09:25There you go.
09:26Right, excellent stuff.
09:28And Tom, you've got to be happy to get your first points on the board
09:31when it comes to the letters.
09:32So you're on the roll when you're picking these letters.
09:34Can I have a consonant, please, Rachel?
09:36Thank you, Tom.
09:37H.
09:38And another.
09:39L.
09:40And another.
09:42T.
09:43And another.
09:45F.
09:47And a vowel, please.
09:49E.
09:50And another.
09:51I.
09:52And another.
09:55A.
09:56I'll have a consonant, please.
09:59P.
10:00And a final consonant, please.
10:03A final N.
10:05And let's do it.
10:06I'll have a.
10:16I'll see you next time.
10:29And that's it, Tom?
10:38Just a five.
10:39And Guy?
10:40A seven, I think.
10:42Tom, the five?
10:43A plant.
10:44Might count. Guy?
10:45Pan tile.
10:46Pan tile.
10:47Yes, bit of a countdown word, that one.
10:49Yes, it's a roof tile, S-shaped.
10:51Can we go higher than a roof? No.
10:53We were on sevens.
10:55We had flea pit, inflate, a few others there.
10:58And all that, right, all that jazz.
11:00All right, back to the numbers.
11:02Guy, what are you going to do?
11:03Can we have four large, please?
11:05That should make it more difficult.
11:06Hopefully four large, two little,
11:08and maybe a challenge coming our way.
11:10Your little numbers are two and one.
11:13And the big one, 75, 25, 100 and 50.
11:17And the target.
11:18Oh, you're kidding me.
11:21100.
11:21100.
11:23Hmm.
11:28Believe it or not, I have to ask.
11:57Guy, did you get 100?
11:58Just about 100, yes.
11:59Tom?
12:00Yes, 100.
12:01Yeah, what way did you go?
12:02Don't answer that.
12:02Well done.
12:05Easiest numbers round ever.
12:08And it looks like a prank when that comes out,
12:09but the prank master general's over in Dictionary Corner.
12:12Let's go back to gladiators,
12:14because even though you'd rather be out there
12:15and your injuries stopping Nitro from rising again,
12:19you've been making the show epic pranks,
12:21which people can go online, watch onto the iPlayer and whatever.
12:24Tell us a bit about it.
12:25Obviously, I'm a little bit of a game player,
12:28as you know from early on in the week.
12:30So once I was done with the brain teasers,
12:32it was a practical joke,
12:33and it was nice to prank the audience,
12:35and it was nice to prank the gladiators,
12:36because it was nice for, you know,
12:39the youngsters to see their role models feel a little bit vulnerable,
12:42laugh at themselves,
12:43and then laugh with each other at the end.
12:45So we've got some really good pranks in there,
12:47really good pranks.
12:48Who's the easiest to prank of all the gladiators?
12:50Who's the one that, if you're like,
12:51I just need this to work,
12:52I want to get a good, you know,
12:54I want to get this in the can, you know,
12:56so I'm going to film this.
12:57Who's your easiest target?
12:58Well, obviously, all gladiators have come from different walks of life.
13:02You know, some of us are a little more savvy than others,
13:04because we've been in the spotlight for a little while longer,
13:06so it's got to be the newbies.
13:08One of them was Hammer.
13:09Oh, my gosh.
13:09It was one of the easiest and best pranks we did,
13:12purely because of the fact that, you know,
13:14this guy, he's just ready to do the best that he can do
13:18and be the best that he can be.
13:19And I ended up with a bucket on his head.
13:22He's got a mop in his hand.
13:24He's wearing a bedsheet as a toga.
13:25He thinks he's there posing as an ancient Roman gladiator.
13:28But everything will be sorted out in post.
13:31But he's there going, ah, with a bucket,
13:34like an actual bucket on his head.
13:36And you just think the things people do nowadays
13:38and what they believe, you know,
13:39is really, really, really, really shocking.
13:42I wouldn't prank Fury.
13:45For a couple of reasons.
13:47I think I may be a trip to A&E there.
13:49I think I just respect her too much.
13:51So Fury's actually, do you know what is it with her?
13:54When I've played some of these other games with her,
13:57is, yeah, she gives you, she gives you a go,
13:59is that it?
14:00Is that the rule?
14:01And then all of a sudden you're like,
14:02whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm only joking, I'm only joking.
14:04So she's, she'll give you a hug.
14:06But like you said, Fury will smash.
14:07Yeah, absolutely.
14:08What's it like, though, you know,
14:11great to be able to do all that.
14:13But given the popularity of the first series,
14:14when you got that injury,
14:16I mean, I'm not comparing it to being injured
14:19before an Olympics, which, of course,
14:20you went through more on one occasion.
14:22But you must just think, for goodness sake, my luck.
14:27It is rough because it just goes to show that
14:30the amount of force that is necessary
14:33to obviously do damage to someone like myself
14:35is sort of worrying
14:39because obviously you sit there and think,
14:41wow, the closer you are to being that elite athlete,
14:45I do see myself as a real-life superhuman.
14:48Obviously, my standing vertical jump is over 40 inches.
14:52I can reach 26.5 miles per hour.
14:55Obviously, I can lift heavy weights.
14:56My force production is very high.
14:59So obviously with that can come injury.
15:01So when you're always pushing that tether
15:02to produce more force,
15:03sometimes if you're not well-conditioned enough,
15:05some things can obviously go.
15:07But in this circumstance, that's happened.
15:10But like you said, you just sort of,
15:12you know, resilience is a massive factor
15:14of how you become better, how you become stronger.
15:17And one, sometimes when the worst things happen,
15:19I often sit there and say, you know,
15:21you look at the landscape that you have
15:23and you're like, you know what, I'm all right.
15:24And as long as you're all right,
15:25it gives you somewhere to push on from.
15:27And it's so funny because my knee has become like
15:30some form of national issue.
15:34Everyone's just sort of, everyone sees me,
15:35every child that sees me is like,
15:36so how's the knee?
15:38Isn't that cute though?
15:39Yeah.
15:39Because actually in athletics,
15:41in any sport when you're injured,
15:42you're forgotten about almost.
15:43Literally.
15:44And you turn left, the rest of the team turns right.
15:46And you're ostracised in a way,
15:48not in a cruel way, but you just are.
15:50The show must go on, they say.
15:51But obviously in this circumstance,
15:52I feel like David Beckham with his metatarsal
15:54back in 2002.
15:55All of these little kiddies are just sending me letters
15:57saying, I hope the knee's better.
15:59That's brilliant.
16:00You know, you're the first dictionary corner guest
16:01we've ever had that Susie cannot beat at an arm wrestle.
16:05Back to all those decades.
16:07That is my reputation.
16:07How do you know that?
16:08I feel like it would be so damaging
16:11for his career to lose to her.
16:13And you said to me, yeah, 50-50 maybe,
16:17but you want to leave it.
16:18Yeah, I think it would be really unfair
16:20because that would be it for you, wouldn't it?
16:22I'd be finished.
16:24Stephen Fry's got a claim in against us, yeah.
16:27Sprained his wrist, yeah, on the Friday afternoons.
16:30Terrible stuff, it could bankrupt us.
16:31Anyway, we'll leave it at that.
16:32I don't want to get into that on air, you know.
16:34It's a legal issue, but thank you very much, Harry.
16:39OK, look at this.
16:39Two challenges, you know it's going to be a battle.
16:42We've got Tom on 26, we've got Guy on 48.
16:45And Tom, you're picking these letters.
16:47Can I have a consonant, please, Rachel?
16:49Thank you, Tom.
16:50B.
16:51And another.
16:51And a final vowel, please.
17:01And a final vowel, please.
17:03And a final vowel, please.
17:16And a final O.
17:17And here we go again.
17:19And a final vowel, please.
17:33All right, time's up. How did you get on there, Tom?
17:52Eight. And Guy? Eight as well.
17:54Eight as well. Let's see if it's the same word, Tom.
17:56Amounted. Amounted? Amounted, yeah.
17:59Pass it on over. Yep. Excellent.
18:01Eight points each. Amounted, spotted.
18:04And what can we add to that, please?
18:07We can add umbinate for eight.
18:10Yes, it's a term from botany
18:13and it means having a sort of rounded protuberance, if you like,
18:17so it could be a branch, I guess, which has got a sort of rounded knoll on it.
18:20Umbinate is another eight.
18:22A lot more straightforward just to spot amounted and call it a day
18:24as we get more letters from Guy.
18:26Consonant, please. Thank you, Guy.
18:29R. And another.
18:31S. And a third.
18:34Q. And a better one.
18:38T. And a vowel, please.
18:41U. And another vowel.
18:44E.
18:45And a third.
18:48I.
18:49And a consonant, please.
18:52M.
18:53And another.
18:55A final.
18:56S.

19:29Guy, how many? Seven. Yeah, and Tom? Just six. Just the six, what's the six? Mr. Mr. Mr. Crozier? Squirts. And squirts? Yep, we'll give you a seven. Excellent stuff. Well done to you for spotting that. That will get you an extra seven points. Can we go beyond that? We can add queerists for eight. Yes, queerists. If you think of small children in the back of a car, they're people who ask a lot of questions and that is a queerist. No. Yes.
19:58So as in, yeah, that's interesting that it's not queerist. Yeah. So a queerist, someone in the back, I love that. Can I just query that? Oh, queerist.
20:09And if you want a word for a child who asks the same question again and again, that's rogitating. There is a word for that as well.
20:15That's a whole origin of words, isn't it? I'll be there, yeah. I'll be there, yeah. Yeah, brilliant. Brilliant stuff. All right. Let's get back to the numbers. And Tom Gibbon, you're going to choose.
20:25I'll try three from the top this time, please. Three from the top. Hopefully something trickier than that last one. You need more than one tile would be nice.
20:32Right. Your three smalls. Seven, two, one. And the big three. Seventy-five, fifty and one hundred. And the target? Two hundred and eighty-six.
20:41Two, eight, six. Numbers up.
20:42One, two, one. And the target? One, two, one. And the target? One, two, one. And the target? One, two, one. And the target? One, two, one. And the target? One, two, one. And the target? 21:29Excellent, what about you, Guy?
21:30Exactly the same way again.
21:32Love it.
21:35That's nice, get some ten more points each.
21:38Two challengers battling it out today for the teapot
21:41as we get a second teatime teaser.
21:43Get a tube.
21:44Get a tube.
21:45Your destination is Baker Street.
21:47Your destination is Baker Street.
22:05Welcome back.
22:06Bit of a red herring out through you there.
22:08Your destination isn't Baker Street.
22:11I did fool Susie with this one.
22:12It's Baker Street because you're having a baguette
22:15and I didn't fool Rachel with it at all.
22:18Right, six rounds to go.
22:19And Guy, you've got your nose in front at least,
22:21maybe a little bit more than your nose,
22:23and you're choosing these letters.
22:24Thanks.
22:24A consonant, please.
22:25Thank you, Guy.
22:26A final consonant, please.
22:27A final consonant, please.
22:29A final consonant, please.
22:31A final F.
22:33All right, good luck.
22:48A final consonant, please.
22:49A final F.
22:51All right, good luck.
22:52A final misinformation.
22:54A final consonant, please.
22:55A final consonant, please.
22:57Thanks a little bit, too.
23:01Thanks a little bit.
23:03MUSIC PLAYS
23:23Guy? Seven. And Tom? Just five.
23:26The five A's? Front. Yeah, good seven, this.
23:29Fortune. Yes, very good indeed.
23:33Excellent stuff, look at that. Up at 80 points already.
23:37Fortune, anything else?
23:39We have Burton, otherwise for six, as in gone for a Burton,
23:42but it also means a light two-block tackle for hoisting
23:45in the building trade. Also means you don't get any points
23:48because Guy got fortune, which is a seven.
23:51Tom, your letters. Can I have a consonant, please, Rachel?
23:54Thank you, Tom. C. And another.
23:57S. And a vowel.
24:00I. And another.
24:02A. And another.
24:05E. And a consonant, please.
24:09L. And another.
24:12G. And another.
24:16T. And we'll finish with another consonant, please.
24:20Finish with P.
24:21And kind of.
24:22And another.
24:23So, let's see you next time.
24:24MUSIC PLAYS
24:53Tom, off you go.
24:55Seven.
24:56And for you, Guy?
24:57Yep, seven.
24:57Yep, Tom.
24:59Cagious.
24:59And for you, Guy?
25:01Pilates.
25:02And Pilates?
25:03No, we can't have Pilates, I'm afraid.
25:05One day it's going to lose its capital letter,
25:07but for now it's an eponym,
25:09so it's named after Joseph Pilates and it's got capital P.
25:12Why are you making this up, Harry?
25:13Are you really into your Pilates?
25:15I am obsessed with it.
25:17Yeah, I thought so, like, properly,
25:18not just, like, goes twice a week, you know what I mean?
25:20Yeah.
25:20Like, don't ask him at a party about Pilates
25:22because he corners you, you're there for three hours,
25:25he's doing everything.
25:26What is it about it?
25:28I feel like it's my secret weapon as a superhuman
25:32when we're talking about, you know, our core strength
25:35and also working at end ranges,
25:38being able to efficiently be functional.
25:40It gives you that added strength,
25:42so even if it's just functionality of life,
25:43especially on the reformer, it's a great thing to do.
25:45All right, added strength, but no added points for Guy.
25:48Guy, Tom's very happy about that.
25:51And what else do we have before we can rest easy?
25:53We have a nice eight, which is pelagics,
25:57P-E-L-A-G-I-C-S.
26:00So pelagic itself means relating to the open sea,
26:03goes back to the Greek for of the sea,
26:06and pelagics are fish and birds that live in the sea.
26:08Sounds like something really painful
26:10your trainer would put you through.
26:11What would you do?
26:12Oh, we got pelagics today.
26:14It's going to be a disaster.
26:15Close to plyometrics, I guess.
26:16Yeah, I suppose, yeah.
26:18Let's stay in dictionary corner then.
26:20Origins of words for today.
26:22Susie, why me?
26:23Well, I'm going to wow you with some words relating to music,
26:26given that we're celebrating Kylie today,
26:28though I notice you're not wearing your Kylie bomber jacket,
26:30as you promised.
26:31I did send you both a message
26:33and said if any of you would like to wear it today.
26:36You should be wearing it.
26:36You know, the problem is it's up to there on me now.
26:38OK.
26:39OK.
26:40So I'm going to start off with disco and discotheque,
26:44because there's a little bit of disco music,
26:46disco vibe about Kylie.
26:49This is a nice one.
26:50So it actually first of all meant a record collection
26:52or a record library,
26:54and that's because in French a bibliothèque is a library.
26:57So it was a riff on that, if you like.
26:59And originally these were clubs
27:01where they only played recorded music.
27:02And it was only later that live music
27:06sometimes came into the equation as well.
27:09And in those early discotheques,
27:11you might also found a jukebox.
27:14And jukebox is nice.
27:16Again, this comes from the word juke,
27:19which in the Native American people of the Gullah,
27:22who live on the coast of South Carolina,
27:24it meant disorderly.
27:26So the idea of sort of really giving yourself to the music
27:28and perhaps just sort of being a bit wild
27:29and frenzied at the same time.
27:31So that's the jukebox.
27:34And also, just to say that Kylie may possibly
27:37get a word of her own into the dictionary.
27:41Possibly.
27:42I remember being asked a lot
27:43when her single,
27:44Padam, Padam,
27:46came about to replicate the sound of the heartbeat.
27:48As your heart goes, Padam, Padam.
27:50There was a lot of commotion
27:51about whether or not this should go into the dictionary
27:53because she had created this
27:55as a word that people were picking up
27:57and using as a meme.
28:00So who knows?
28:00There's no Padam in the dictionary as yet,
28:02but Kylie may be on to something.
28:04So maybe one day,
28:05Padam will go in.
28:06You know,
28:06she is the highest-selling Australian-born
28:08solo artist of all time.
28:10Over 80 million records.
28:11Wow.
28:12More than the Wiggles.
28:14Absolutely.
28:15That is saying something,
28:16isn't it?
28:17Nice reference.
28:21All right,
28:22let's get a wiggle on.
28:2329 points in it.
28:24This is not over yet, Tom.
28:25Keep the faith,
28:26but Guy,
28:27give us the letters.
28:28A consonant, please.
28:29Thank you, Guy.
28:30N.
28:31And another.
28:33V.
28:33And another.
28:35C.
28:36And another.
28:38R.
28:39And a vowel, please.
28:41E.
28:42And a consonant.
28:44P.
28:46And a vowel.
28:48A.
28:49A consonant.
28:51S.
28:52And a vowel.
28:54Lastly, I.
28:56Let's play.
28:56I.
28:58Let's play.
29:13I.
29:13I.
29:13MUSIC PLAYS
29:27Guy. Just a seven.
29:29And Tom. Eight, I think.
29:32Ooh, look at this. Guy.
29:33Prances. Prances. This would be huge, Tom.
29:37Caprines.
29:38Oh, Tom, caprine definitely there as an adjective relating to goats,
29:42but it's not there as a noun, so we can't put the S on.
29:44I'm so sorry.
29:45Oh, no.
29:46You'd think, you know, kids relate to goats themselves, but not in.
29:50Oh, well, definitely worth a pop, Tom,
29:52because you're not here to make up the numbers.
29:54You want to close the gap.
29:55So well done for having a pop on it.
29:57Guy increases his lead, though, and let's head back to Dexter and Corner.
30:01Well, I've got pace here for six, clearly.
30:04I'm pacey, right?
30:05Yeah.
30:06Please put the S on the front of that, though,
30:09and I'll give you more points.
30:10LAUGHTER
30:11That is very true.
30:12And lots of other sevens, arsenic, pincers, yeah, they abounded.
30:17All right.
30:18Let's get on with it.
30:19Last letters round.
30:22Unlucky with that, Tom, but let's enjoy these last three rounds.
30:24Off you go.
30:25OK, can I start with a consonant, please?
30:27Thank you, Tom.
30:28D.
30:28And another.
30:30T.
30:31And another.
30:33S.
30:34And the fourth.
30:37P.
30:39Vowel, please.
30:39O.
30:41And another.
30:42I.
30:44And another.
30:46A.
30:48And a fourth.
30:50U.
30:51And a final consonant, please.
30:53And a final D.
30:55And last letters.
30:56And a fourth.
30:59You'll find it.
31:02Yes, ma'am.
31:03And
31:23THEY CONFER
31:26Tom?
31:27Er, risky seven.
31:29Yeah, and Guy?
31:31I'll stick with the six.
31:32OK, the six is?
31:33Er, patios.
31:34Patios.
31:35Wonder if you have the same risky seven written down.
31:38Outpaid.
31:39Yeah.
31:40Yeah, I was looking at it myself, and it's not there.
31:42No!
31:43That was the thing, I was just looking up in the dictionary,
31:46but, yeah, sadly not there.
31:47Achmed.
31:48Achmed.
31:49I'd have went with it too.
31:50I felt like it was going to be there.
31:52Outpaid or outside.
31:53Yeah.
31:54All right, was there anything that could have nicked the points?
31:57There was utopias for seven.
32:00Very good indeed.
32:01Yes, no outside actually, so that one.
32:03Yeah.
32:04Best left as well, but it was tricky.
32:06Best left unsaid.
32:07All right, here we go then, last numbers.
32:09And Guy, just bear in mind you're on 93,
32:12and it'd be quite nice to get that century out, wouldn't it?
32:15That might dictate your choice, but whatever you want.
32:17Well, shall we try four large again?
32:18Let's try it.
32:19Let's get something better than that last one.
32:21It's a shame to be on this programme if that kind of thing comes out with a four large.
32:24Come on, do better.
32:25Right.
32:26Little ones, eight and nine.
32:28And the large, 50, 25, 175.
32:31And we want a proper test.
32:33185.
32:34185.
32:35185.
32:36Numbers up.
32:37185.
32:38185.
32:39Numbers up.
32:40185.
32:41Well, it was harder than 100.
32:43How did you get on, Guy?
32:44Oh, yeah.
32:45185.
32:46Yeah.
32:47And Tom?
32:48No, I didn't get it.
32:49186.
32:50Oh, missed it.
32:51Just missed it.
32:52Hit the crossbar.
32:53Guy?
32:54100 plus 75.
32:55175.
32:5650 over 25.
32:57Is a two.
32:58Add that and the eight.
32:59Lovely.
33:00185.
33:01Well done.
33:02Yeah, well done.
33:03Yeah, well done.
33:04I sympathised, Tom, look, as in your head you were going, how's I paid not in there?
33:06I'm sure it's not.
33:07I'm sure it's not.
33:08I'm sure it's not.
33:09I'm sure it's not.
33:10I'm sure it's not.
33:11It's not.
33:12It's not.
33:13It's not.
33:14185.
33:15Well, it was harder than 100.
33:16How did you get on, Guy?
33:17185.
33:18Well, it was harder than 100.
33:19How did you get on, Guy?
33:20Yeah, 185.
33:21And Tom?
33:22No, I didn't get it.
33:23186.
33:24Just missed it.
33:25Hit the crossbar.
33:26Guy?
33:27100 plus 75.
33:28175.
33:2950 over 25.
33:30Is a two.
33:31Add that and the eight.
33:32Not in there.
33:33I'm sure it should have been in there.
33:34That's what happens in this show.
33:35It gets to you.
33:36You've still got half a century up on the 51.
33:38But, Guy, I mean, that's probably beyond your expectations.
33:41103 in your debut.
33:43And you could still add to that.
33:45One of the two of you, maybe.
33:46Fingers on the buzzers.
33:47Last round of this Wednesday afternoon.
33:50Here's the Countdown Conundrum.
33:55Go on, Tom.
33:56Projected.
33:57Have a look.
33:58Yes!
33:59APPLAUSE
34:00A couple of words the other way.
34:03Drop an S off here.
34:05Different decision.
34:06You could have a teapot.
34:07But you don't.
34:08But I hope it was worth applying after all those years.
34:10Yeah.
34:11Good.
34:12Nice to have you.
34:13And, Guy, get the switch chairs tomorrow.
34:15We'll see you then.
34:16Very exciting.

34:21Look forward to it.
34:22All done, Rachel.
