Robotic surgery represents the pinnacle of precision, ergonomics, and minimally invasive care in modern surgery. However, excellence in outcomes requires excellence in training. At World Laparoscopy Hospital (WLH), we believe mastery of robotic surgery comes not from technology alone, but from structured education, deliberate practice, and mentoring by world-class faculty.

The Imperative for High-Quality Robotic Training

The global adoption of robotic platforms — across urology, gynecology, colorectal, hepatobiliary, and general surgery — has surged. These systems enhance dexterity, magnified 3D vision, and tremor filtration, but they also present a steep learning curve.

00:00Hi, I'm Dr. Shweta from Genesaw Hospital, Bangalore.
00:03I'm so blessed to have, you know, sir as a mentor in this course.
00:08And he teaches everything from basics handling of robotics and how to hold the equipment
00:15and everything about the robot that you need to know.
00:19And it was so helpful.
00:20I was just thinking, you know, what is robotic thing about?
00:23Will I ever be able to touch the robot or will I be able to operate?
00:27And I'm so glad I made this choice and on the search mentorship and so many others who have helped.
00:33At least I know how to operate the robot and I feel so confident that I can go back and start doing the cases.
00:39Thank you so much, World Episcopal Hospital, to make me this capable of even attempting a robotic surgery.
00:48Well, I was very happy to be here in this active and training boat.
00:51I believe that every surgeon that wants to start clinical practice with the robotic surgery should attend this course firstly.
01:04All the instructors were very nice, very kind.
01:08They epiphany, a lot of useful things.
01:11And I think that Professor Mithras tried to expand the robotic and laparoscop surgery is the best gift to clinical practice.
01:25Thank you, all.
01:26Thank you very much.
01:28Dr. Lisha from Lebanon, from Beirut.
01:31It's my first time in Ungdia.
01:34And I came especially to do the robotic course, the fellowship.
01:38It was a great experience.
01:41It was a nice workshop.
01:43This was very helpful, very informative.
01:47And the instructors were so helpful in this course.
01:51I enjoyed the course and I recommend it for everyone.
01:57I'm Hossam Alam.
01:58I'm from Lebanon, Beirut.
02:00This is my first time visit to India to take the course of robotic surgery.
02:08Personally, I enjoyed the week here in India.
02:13Everything, the course, especially Dr. Mishra and his team.
02:17Everyone from the team, from the following purposes, everyone was great.
02:26Hello, my name is Dr. Daval Mistry.
02:30I am a laparoscopic surgeon.
02:32I was here for a robotic fellowship course at World Laparoscopy Hospital in January 2026.
02:38I was very pleased with the way everyone, right from Dr. Mishra to all the supporting staff.
02:44Mr. Shadab has explained us everything about robot docking.
02:49And we also get to do hands-on experience for the surgeries which we routinely do in this porcine model.
02:56So, I'm really happy and I'm ready to apply all this knowledge to my patients.
03:01Hi, I'm Dr. Vijay Kumar.
03:05I'm the professor at Medical College, Bangalore.
03:08And I have my own center by the name Gynecare.
03:13I have come here for the robotic surgery workshop as well as training program.
03:19It is a very well-organized training program by Dr. Mishra sir and also by Dr. Bala sir.
03:27In these four days, we learned a lot about the robotics, not only docking but also the animal training program including the suturing.
03:40Definitely, this will be very useful for our future career.
03:45And as you all know that robotics is the next new thing.
03:48So, better we upgrade ourselves with the robotic knowledge and this center is very good.
03:57I am Colonel Vinod Nair and I belong to the Armed Forces Medical Services.
04:02I am from Army Hospital R&R.
04:04Gynecologic endoscopic surgeon.
04:06I had a bit limited exposure in robotic surgery.
04:09That was during my fellowship in Ames.
04:12After coming here in World Aposcopy Hospital which I had planned for years,
04:15I felt yes, this was essential for me because that the further training and the live surgical demonstration
04:26as well as the hands-on exposure on the robotic suturing as well as the robotic surgery
04:31is going to help me a long way in my further career improvement and for patient welfare.
04:37Thank you so much.
04:38Thank you so much, Jahin.
