00:00Yes, so my name is Zoe Brown-Holton. How I became a part of Garaburi was I actually saw it first
00:06premiered back in 2023 at Arts House in Naam and I saw the work and I was like I have to be on this
00:13project. It was a work that was so inviting, so engaging. There was so much about this work that
00:23I didn't think I fully understood and that's why I needed to be a part of it, so I needed to learn
00:27more and then we remounted it for Wagga last year and it was the most powerful experience I have
00:34ever felt during a performance being a dancer, so this work is astounding. Expect to see a really
00:42big massive dance piece that involves the audience. Now that's something that's a little bit different
00:47to the modern day dance kind of format. Normally you're sitting in a seating arena, seating bank,
00:52but this one here you're in the dance, like there's there's not a moment where you're out of the
00:57dance so you're completely immersed into this world and this atmosphere that we're kind of creating
01:03and you're going to have a really good time. Like there's nothing about this show that isn't inviting,
01:08that isn't joyous, that isn't celebratory. Everyone's welcome here and I think that's one of the most
01:14important parts of the work. So you can watch Garaburi at Wollongong Town Hall on the 6th and 7th of February
01:21as well as DAPTO Rivenwood Centre on the 14th of February. Can't wait to see you!
