00:00Nice to see you guys. How's it going? Kermit Piggins.
00:03It's so good to see you too.
00:04Yes, you too.
00:05You seem rested.
00:06Oh, that's very nice, because I don't at all feel rested.
00:09Yeah, I was just being nice.
00:10Oh, well then.
00:12Here we are. We've done the show together. We did it.
00:14That's right.
00:14Yeah, we did it.
00:15Yes, we did the show.
00:16Yeah.
00:16We did the show.
00:19What show are we talking about?
00:22The Muppet Show.
00:23The Muppet Show, yes, of course.
00:26Love it.
00:27Love it.
00:27And it was so wonderful to share the stage with you.
00:31Oh, yeah.
00:32And watch your process.
00:33Yeah.
00:34By the way, what is your process?
00:37I mean, I don't know that I have a particular process.
00:40Yeah, that's kind of what I thought.
00:42Well, what's your process then?
00:43It kind of seems like you're in character all the time.
00:45Like many of the greats, I like to live in the character, you know?
00:51I do.
00:51Yeah, that's why I demand zero eye contact from my castmates when I'm shooting.
00:57She also asked for that when she is not shooting.
01:00Yeah.
01:00Well, yeah.
01:01You think I want to interact with Gonzo?
01:03I don't really want to interact with Gonzo that much either, if I'm being very honest.
01:07Hey, Seth, you know, when we were putting together this special, was there anything that you were really excited or maybe nervous about bringing back this classic show?
01:15Well, I was really nervous, honestly, though.
01:17Really?
01:17I wanted it to be good.
01:18I just wanted people who love the show to love it.
01:20But I found it a little intimidating, yeah.
01:22You were intimidated.
01:23I was, yeah.
01:23You get intimidated by things?
01:25Sometimes, yes.
01:26Because I don't.
01:28Ever.
01:28Well, no.
01:29Wow.
01:29Really, ever.
01:30No, I guess it's, you know, just my sense of self.
01:33Sure, you definitely have that.
01:34But, I mean, there's not one thing, like, not one little thing, like, not even getting older or something?
01:39Oh, ha, ha, ha.
01:40Don't get cute, frog.
01:42Well, you guys work very well together as a fair.
01:44I've worked with a partner for, like, 30 years.
01:46How long have you guys worked together?
01:47Oh, not nearly that long.
01:49Well, actually, 50 years.
01:5050 years.
01:51Yeah.
01:52What do you think of the secret to such a very, very, very long-lasting partnership?
01:57Yeah, well, I don't know about that.
01:59Well, I mean, pretty long.
02:00The secret to our strong creative partnership.
02:03Yeah.
02:03That all comes down to one thing, which is one person taking the lead, and the other person, Kermit, not getting in the way.
02:11Yeah.
02:12Yeah.
02:12Don't you agree, Kermit?
02:13Well, I think it's less than I agree, and it's more than I concede.
02:19Concede?
02:19Concede?
02:20Who gave him a thesaurus?
02:22I have never heard you use that word in my life.
02:24Well, I don't think you've heard me say a lot of things.
02:26Well, from my perspective, what I can see, the partnership is still going great.
02:30You guys are doing good.
02:31Thank you, Seth.
02:31It's just been really fun to see you guys do what you do in person.
02:34I've always wanted to work with the Muppets, you know?
02:36Oh, that's so sweet.
02:38Have we ever talked about my one-woman stage show?
02:40Yeah, you've mentioned it a few times.
02:42Yeah, yeah.
02:42I play 37 parts.
02:4337 roles, yeah.
02:44And I get suspended from the ceiling at one point.
02:47It's a musical audience.
02:48You've mentioned it a few times, yeah.
02:51Oh, well, I mean, if you're looking to produce something else...
02:54You know, we've got a pretty full slate, but...
02:57You know what?
02:58On that note, maybe this has been a great catch-up, and it was so good to see you, Seth.
03:02It has.
03:02It's been great.
03:03And I hope we get to do it again.
03:04I do, too.
03:05I hope people watch the show.
03:06I really think it's going to be great.
03:08So thanks for...
03:09The Muppet Show, right?
03:10The Muppet Show.
03:10The Muppet Show, yes.
03:11It's going to be amazing, so check it out.
