00:00Alexa, how many tablespoons are in a cup?
00:04There are 16 tablespoons in a cup.
00:07Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the best Super Bowl spots that feature a celebrity cameo.
00:14Sarah? Sarah!
00:16It's a tie-dab.
00:20Number 10, Sarah V. Sarah V.
00:23I'm Michael Sarah, and I'm pleased to announce that this is my cream.
00:29Sarah V.
00:30Michael Sarah is probably the last person you would expect to pop up in a moisturizing cream commercial.
00:36When the product is called Sarah V, though, the casting director's work is essentially done.
00:41Sarah was already making the rounds on social media, posing with the skin product, and signing bottles.
00:46The confounding campaign culminated with this commercial, which still raises more questions than it answers.
00:52It has many of the hallmarks we associate with beauty ads, i.e. a soothing ambiance, pretentious dialogue, and curtains blowing in the wind.
01:06Yet, it throws several curveballs, including a mountain, a narwhal, and, of course, Sarah's presence.
01:13If you're wondering why the ad is so bizarrely hysterical, it all clicks when you realize that Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim directed it.
01:21So, that's my thing.
01:25Number 9, Imported from Detroit, Chrysler.
01:29Any commercial that features Lose Yourself is already off to a strong start.
01:33Acquiring the rights to a popular song is one thing, but what matters most is how the music is employed.
01:46Just as it did in the film 8 Mile, Eminem's Oscar-winning song is an ideal match for this gritty yet empowering commercial.
01:53Whereas most Super Bowl ads strive to paint the prettiest portrait possible, this one submerges us in the hard-hitting backdrop of Detroit.
02:00It may not be the rosiest locale, but it takes nerves of steel to craft a car with the fortitude of the Chrysler 200.
02:08Although ultimately portraying Detroit in a positive light, there's an honesty to the commercial that leaves us with a newfound respect for the city.
02:15This is the mode of city. This is what we do.
02:19Number 8, Beer Run, Heineken.
02:21There's nothing like a commercial with cinematic production values.
02:25Such is the case with Beer Run, which aired during Super Bowl 39.
02:29So Mr. Pitt, I'll just let you out.
02:31No, I'm just gonna... I'm fine.
02:33Brad Pitt leaves his penthouse apartment to get some Heineken from the corner store.
02:37An enormous mob of paparazzi follows him, forcing Pitt to take some creative measures to get back home.
02:42Got a back door. Thanks.
02:47If you're thinking, this commercial is seriously well-directed, that's because it was done by the Oscar-nominated David Fincher.
02:53This ad was actually the third collaboration between Pitt and Fincher, following Seven and Fight Club.
03:00We'd say it's a solid entry in both of their filmographies.
03:03Hey, Bob. Hey, Brad.
03:05Number 7, Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm.
03:09Thank you, Agent State Farm.
03:15Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
03:18Cut.
03:19Arnold Schwarzenegger.
03:21Bodybuilder, movie star, governor of California, celebrity apprentice host.
03:26Now, he can add State Farm agent to his resume.
03:29Above all else, this action-packed commercial sees Arnold stepping up as a good neighbor.
03:34Or neighbor.
03:35Neighbor.
03:36Neighbor.
03:37Neighbor.
03:38Neighbor.
03:39Hey, let's go again.
03:40Arnold struggles to get the line down in his signature Austrian accent.
03:44This is only made funnier thanks to the commercial's cinematic quality,
03:47with Arnold thrust into scenarios involving explosions and choppers.
03:51To the director's frustration, what should be the simplest part of the take turns out to be the most challenging.
03:57Nothing that a few tweaks to the script can't fix, with extra support from Arnie's twin.
04:02Arnold and Danny should play Radioactive Man in Fall Out Boy next,
04:05although that may bring some other script issues.
04:09You are a backstabber.
04:11I'm a backstabber.
04:12Number 6.
04:13Kiss from a Lime.
04:15Mountain Dew.
04:16Mountain Dew, Baja Blast?
04:17Hmm.
04:19At first, this ad may seem par for the course,
04:21with a motorboat of people drinking Mountain Dew,
04:24a tropical backdrop, and an actor who looks like Jason Momoa.
04:27For the record, it's not Jason Momoa, but this ad did land a big name in musician Seal.
04:38Playing a literal Seal.
04:40Joined by a chorus of Seals,
04:42the Grammy winner puts a twist on his hit Kiss from a Rose,
04:45receiving backup from a chorus of Seals.
04:48It's like the Batman Forever soundtrack invaded the island of Dr. Moreau,
04:52resulting in imagery that'll either haunt your nightmares or leave you laughing hysterically.
04:56There is so much as he can tell you,
05:00so much he can say.
05:02Either way, we can all agree that this was weird.
05:05Of course, the commercial makes more sense upon learning Taika Waititi directed it.
05:10This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.
05:11Mountain Dew, Baja Blast.
05:13Number 5.
05:14Now and Then.
05:15Pepsi.
05:17Irresistible.
05:17Nothing screams early 2000s nostalgia quite like Britney Spears.
05:26And speaking of nostalgia,
05:27this commercial plays on the concept in glorious fashion.
05:31Spears honors 50 years worth of Pepsi advertisements,
05:34going through the ages and appearing in different time periods.
05:37We start in 1958,
05:39with a cute, innocent Britney receiving a Pepsi in a malt shop.
05:42We then get Surfing Britney,
05:47Hippie Britney,
05:48and Modern Britney,
05:49among some others.
05:50Not only is the commercial brilliantly conceived,
05:53it's also creatively filmed.
05:55The costume changes,
05:56production design,
05:57and altering styles of music are all delightful,
06:00providing a treat for both the eyes and ears.
06:03Come feel the joy all around.
06:05Each generation has time.
06:07Number 4.
06:08Breaking Good.
06:09Popcorners.
06:10Yo,
06:11these are the bomb!
06:12And they're air popped,
06:13not fried.
06:14With Better Call Saul officially wrapped,
06:16we figured that Walt and Jesse were done making surprise appearances.
06:19But just when you thought they were out,
06:21Popcorners brought Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul back to bake again.
06:25Thankfully,
06:25they're only baking popcorn chips this time.
06:29What are these?
06:31We call them Popcorners.
06:32Let's say their name.
06:38Popcorners.
06:39Coming out almost 10 years after the Breaking Bad finale,
06:42this commercial faithfully recreates the AMC drama's look from the opening shot.
06:47While the tone is more comedic,
06:49Cranston and Paul remain in character as they reference classic moments.
06:52The same goes for Raymond Cruz,
06:54who reprises his role as Tuco to put a spin on one of his most famous lines.
06:59Tight, tight, tight, tight!
07:00Yeah!
07:01How much of this stuff do you have?
07:03We've got six signature flavors, y'all.
07:05Seven!
07:06You make seven!
07:07It's a tight, tight, tight throwback.
07:09Although,
07:10No Doze is missed.
07:11Then again,
07:12his presence might have taken the ad in a grim direction.
07:15We're gonna eat a lot of snacks together.
07:18Number 3.
07:22You're Not You When You're Hungry
07:23Snickers
07:24Mike!
07:25What is your deal, man?
07:25Oh, come on, man.
07:26You've been riding me all day.
07:28You're Not You When You're Hungry
07:29evolved into one of Snickers' most successful ad campaigns.
07:32Although,
07:33it's hard to top the commercial that kicked things off.
07:35Part of that is because we went in with no expectations.
07:38Seeing Betty White get slammed down into the mud,
07:42we were intrigued yet confused.
07:45We were even more perplexed when one of the players referred to the Golden Girls star as Mike.
07:50Everything falls into place when Mike's girlfriend hands him a Snickers,
07:53supplying the boost needed to revert back to his usual self.
07:57Use Snickers.
07:59Better?
08:00Better.
08:01During the final stages of Betty White's illustrious career,
08:04this commercial provided a career highlight that only gained her more fans.
08:09The same goes for Abe Vigoda.
08:10Alas, Snickers couldn't get him off the hook.
08:13That hurt.
08:14You're Not You When You're Hungry
08:15Number 2.
08:16Vending Machine
08:17Pepsi
08:18Pepsi always brings out the A-listers and their A-game when it comes to the Super Bowl.
08:23Yet it doesn't get more iconic than Cindy Crawford drinking a Pepsi.
08:26Sporting a white tank top and jean shorts so recognizable the outfit could be a Halloween costume,
08:31Crawford arrives at a soda machine.
08:33Two boys appear enamored by the thirsty supermodel,
08:36although they truly have eyes for the sleek new Pepsi can.
08:39Is that a great new Pepsi can or what?
08:43Introducing a whole new way to look at Pepsi and diet Pepsi.
08:46While Crawford brings a sex-positive allure to the ad,
08:49it also possesses an innocent naivety that's sure to leave a smirk on your face.
08:53The commercial has been recreated numerous times,
08:56including by Crawford herself,
08:58but the original belongs to every generation.
09:00This is the Pepsi for this model.
09:04And his mom.
09:06Hi Cindy.
09:08Show him how it's done.

09:25Number 1.
09:26Hey Kid, Catch Coca-Cola
09:28For all the memorable commercials that the Super Bowl has given us,
09:35only a handful of them involve football.
09:38This ad reminds us what the event is all about.
09:40Mean Joe Green is looking more like sad Joe Green following a game.
09:45A young fan attempts to boost his confidence,
09:47but Mr. Green remains blue.
09:49The kid makes one last attempt to reach his idol by offering him a Coke.
09:53Chugging down the whole bottle,
09:55Green's woes wash away,
09:57returning the favor by granting the kid his jersey.
10:00The whole world smiling with me.
10:03Coca-Cola.
10:04Although the ad had aired a few times prior,
10:06Super Bowl XIV would turn it into a certified classic that continues to touch our hearts.
10:11We cannot help but smile every time we see it.
10:14Have a clap.
10:16Thanks, mean Joe.
10:17Smile.
