00:00One day earlier this spring, we received a photograph of a foot
00:29drawn in red chalk, along with, framed up with a portrait of a man.
00:35It went to our drawing specialist in New York, Jada Damon, who looked at it, immediately
00:42recognised something really, really special, rang up the consignor and jumped on a plane
00:52to California to go and have a look at it.
00:54And of course, in the flesh, it was as exciting as she saw it to be from the original photo.
00:59And she brought it back with her to New York that night.
01:02Then she took it to the Met.
01:05And she took it to the Met because she saw that it was a foot related to Michelangelo's
01:11Libyan Sybil on the Sistine ceiling.
01:13Famously, on four occasions, he's known to have burnt all of his drawings.
01:37So very few survive.
01:40For the Sistine ceiling, there's only 50 drawings in existence.
01:43And there's only one behind me in private ownership.
01:47So this is your only chance, your only chance to buy a piece of perhaps the greatest work
01:53of all ever painted.
