01:55And above the right eye.
01:59It's really significant when it's your blood.
02:03Shot clock at 7.
02:05Diawara hands for Clarkson, who got the start for Josh Hart, who's out tonight, but day-to-day after suffering an ankle injury last night.
02:12And not a good foul by Brown with 2.4 on the shot clock.
02:16Boy, they had him wrapped up.
02:17He just reached in.
02:19They caught a piece of his arm.
02:20You're right.
02:20He bailed him out.
02:22His first foul wasn't good either.
02:24It was on the opening possession, an offensive foul.
02:30Huck-Porty getting some minutes here.
02:32Both teams on a second night of a back-to-back.
02:36And now with Towns back in the locker room, Huck-Porty getting some minutes.
02:40Bridges couldn't handle another knee.
02:42He has not scored yet in this game.
02:44And six turnovers by the Knicks.
02:46Six by Denver.
02:47Brown inside for two.
02:49Middle of the floor.
02:50You just cut.
02:52And Christian Brown is an excellent cutter.
02:54And the goalie Jokic finds him with no pressure on him.
02:57Fifth assist for Jokic.
02:58He averages about 10, which is a career high.
03:01And would lead the league if he qualified in terms of games playing.
03:06Bridges three off target.
03:08Denver ball.
03:09Jokic missed 16 games.
03:11He's still fourth in the NBA overall in assists.
03:15Not assists per game, but number of assists.
03:17And he missed 16 games.
03:18He has to play basically every game the rest of the way to reach that 65-game threshold
03:24to qualify for all the awards.
03:26And he certainly would be in the mix for MVP, first-team NBA and more.
03:30Jokic with the basket on the baseline to give him 11.
03:33I know where you're stopping that one-on-one at the post with the goalie Jokic.
03:36His feet are so good.
03:40Ball and foul.
03:42By the way, if Jokic were to play enough games and win MVP,
03:45he would become the sixth player ever with four.
03:48The other guys, Wilt, Jordan, LeBron, Jabbar, Russell.
03:52Pretty good group.
03:53Yeah, it's just where they're going to put him up in the Hall of Fame.
03:56That's already decided.
03:59You can make a claim that he is the best player in the world.
04:02He has just been every facet of the game on the offensive end.
04:08He's got it all.
04:10Played 14 minutes tonight.
04:11Katie had the report at the beginning of the game about
04:13him trying to keep his minutes down
04:16because this is game four back from the injury
04:18and he played more than they wanted him to initially last night.
04:22It was a close game,
04:23so David Adelman had to keep him in the game.
04:25Ended up playing about 33 minutes.
04:28He told us somewhere in the 20s,
04:30so I don't know, maybe that's 29.
04:31That's what I would lean towards.
04:34In the 20s, I would lean to 29-59 if I'm David Adelman.
04:39Jokic clearly doesn't like being checked on when he's not.
04:42After he tweaked that ankle,
04:44people were asking him how he was doing.
04:45He's like, I'm fine, I'm playing.
04:47He yelled at him from the bench.
04:49The coach has heard him.
04:50He yelled, I'm playing.
04:52Second foul in Hardaway.
04:53Kolek got the free throws.
04:55Here's a three from Brown.
04:56His second three, the other was the bank at the end of the quarter.
04:58Boy, there was zero dip on that catch.
05:01He caught it in the shooting pocket,
05:03went right up with it.
05:08Brunson driving into the lane.
05:09From the foul line, the step back off the front rim and in.
05:16Seven points for Brunson.
05:18He's averaging 27 points per game.
05:20That's 10 in the NBA.
05:22Jamal Murray, 20 points in the first quarter.
05:25Limited minutes here in the second.
05:27Brunson, Watson, way off the bar.
05:29Off the bar.
05:30Got it back up.
05:32And scores.
05:33A great activity level by Peyton Watson.
05:36And McHale Bridges got picked off twice by Valanchunas' screen.
05:40So he's looking around going, really?
05:42You have to run me off him every time.
05:44Every time.
05:46Denver back at three.
05:47Four hard at Mark.
05:49Second quarter here at Madison Square Garden.
05:51The Knicks riding a seven-game win streak.
05:53Denver has lost two in a row.
05:54Haven't lost three in a row since April of last year.
05:58Brunson puts up an air ball, but there to clean it up inside is O.G.
06:02And Anovi.
06:03Seems every time there's a shot that doesn't hit the rim, the offense has the advantage.
06:09Because they can follow the flight of the ball a lot of times.
06:11You're not going to box out as that defender.
06:13Don't get it off.
06:13Don't get it off.
06:13Yeah.
06:13That's right.
06:16It's a hoverkill.
06:19DaFont, it's a hoverkill right now.
06:22Do it.
06:23Can be found on an air ball.
06:29On the air ball doesn't holes it, just a hog.
06:30There.

09:59And a 7-0 cat run to tie the game at 51 apiece.
10:21Here's Jamal Murray, three-pointer, no good.
10:30He had 20 points in the first, just two in the second.
10:32Offensive rebound, Watson.
10:35Shot clock down to eight.
10:36Bruce Brown goes away from the screen.
10:43Elbow J, too strong.
10:45Rebound Towns, long outlet for Annanoby.
10:47Catching in stride and throwing it down.
10:49A 9-0 Knicks run to retake the lead.
11:02Murray trying to get free from Shamit.
11:05Double.
11:07Skip to Brown.
11:08Three not there.
11:10Christian Brown offensive rebound.
11:11And then off the leg of Towns, they're going to say a kick.
11:17It's going to be Denver ball.
11:19Shot clock to 14.
11:22Knicks trying to get their eighth straight win.
11:24Denver trying to end a two-game losing streak.
11:30Knicks currently second in the East.
11:31Tied with Boston at 32-18.
11:34Denver 33-18.
11:36Third in the West.
11:39Christian Brown just his second game back.
11:43Gone for a month due to injury.
11:44They swing it around the perimeter to Murray.
11:47Got the pivot foot down.
11:48Tough shot, but it drops.
11:50And Jamal Murray gives Denver the lead, or ties the game rather, at 53.
11:55And there's a seven-second difference in the clocks here at the end of the first half.
12:02Brunson trying to shake Brown.
12:03Drives into the lane.
12:10Timer down to seven.
12:12Brunson with Brown on his hip.
12:13Gets fouled, almost banked it in.
12:16And that is the third foul on Christian Brown.
12:19And so Brunson will go to the free-throw line.
12:21First attempts of the game for Jalen Brunson.
12:25That's very rare.
12:26He gets to the line as much as any guard in the NBA.
12:3285% of the strike this year, a career high.
12:43And gets the bounce on the first half-time presented by Hyundai coming up with Wendy, Malik, and Coach Malone, and Kirk.
12:56And we'll talk about Jamal Murray's first all-star appearance.
13:00As well as look ahead to our second game of the doubleheader between the Thunder and Spurs.
13:12Keep checking Shams' Twitter account to see if there are any more trades.
13:18And the group will have an update for us at halftime if there are.
13:22Free throws by Brunson.
13:23Knicks by two.
13:24Denver has the final shot.
13:2611-2 New York run.
13:28And a foul on Shamit.
13:30The Knicks had one to give.
13:35And that's the second on Shamit.
13:41McCuller checks pick back into the game for the Knicks.
13:46Kiwara on the floor as well defensively.
13:49Six seconds left.
13:50Here's Murray.
13:51Driving on Shamit.
13:53Missed the shot inside.
13:54Rebound Ananoui.
13:55Three-quarter court.
13:57No good.
13:58As the half comes to an end.
14:01Jamal Murray with 24 to lead the way for Denver.
14:05Balanced scoring for the Knicks led by Carl Anthony Towns' 12 points.
14:11And New York trying to win its eighth straight game.
14:14Leads Denver by two at halftime.
14:23Halftime.
14:24Presented by Hyundai.
14:26Well this first half has had a little bit of it all.
14:29As the New York Knicks lead the Denver Nuggets 55-53.
14:33Not only is Carl Anthony Towns up to 12 points in nine minutes.
14:37He already had a, looks like some stitches above his eye.
14:40We've got a blood.
14:41We've got a brawl.
14:43We got a little bit of everything.
14:44Perk.
14:45Michael Malone.
14:45Brian Windhorst.
14:46I'm Malika Andrews.
14:47Let's talk about Carl Anthony Towns.
14:48Because the minute he came back into the game, Perk, he infused energy into this Knicks team.
14:53Well he has the right type of energy.
14:55He has the right mindset and you can see it.
14:57He's finally brought in and guys, like you can tell the way that he's playing.
15:01He's playing with that joy and the passion again.
15:03And he's such a tough cover.
15:05Especially when he kicked it at that top of the three, that nail action.
15:09But he came back in like a soldier.
15:11He handled his business.
15:12Yeah, he got dealt with on the sidelines, some glue, some whatever had to happen over there.
15:17And he's plus 13.
15:19That's what happened when you were in the trenches.
15:21You know what I'm saying?
15:22Not standing out on the perimeter.
15:24Well, someone was standing out on the perimeter.
15:26And it was effective, particularly in the first quarter.
15:29And that was Jamal Murray here for the Denver Nuggets coach.
15:31Molly Maul had it going, 20 points in the first quarter, wound up with 24.
15:35If I was David Adelman, I would have gotten him in earlier in that second quarter
15:39to see what kind of night he could have had.
15:41But doing it from the three-point line, doing it from mid-range,
15:44really underrated finisher in the paint, all sorts of finishes.
15:48Let's see what Jamal can do in the second half.
15:50And can they get Nikola Jokic going so they have that tandem game that we all know is so impactful?
15:56Yeah, you know, Jokic is still getting back.
15:59You can tell he doesn't quite have his feet underneath him.
16:00And he got sort of hobbled a little bit early on, gave us all a scare.
16:03Yeah, he kind of buckled a little bit, and we kind of grabbed each other.
16:06And then he just bounced back out there because that's who he is.
16:09But I want to point something out, too.
16:11The Knicks have gotten a lot of things in this winning streak that have really helped them.
16:14And we highlight some of them.
16:16Landry Schammett continues to be one of the most impactful minimum signings in the league.
16:22And he had another couple of threes in this first half.
16:24And look, obviously, when Brunson's playing well and Cat's playing well, it makes a difference.
16:27But when they can spread the floor with Schammett, it just injects their whole second unit.
16:31They've dominated second unit basketball during the streak.
16:33And you remember last year, they couldn't take Brunson off the floor.
16:37But like you said, Schammett and Kolek, they've been doing an excellent job of holding it down.
16:41But that Denver offense, the way that they have Jokic at the top dragging Mitchell Robinson and Carl Anthony Towns away from the basket,
16:48all those guys cutting.
16:50That's why they're getting so many wide-open ducks.
16:52And he's just picking them apart, picking them apart.
16:54So, again, you know, he got, what, five or six.
16:57We talked about this as being a good test, right, for the Knicks.
17:00Because their defense has been the top of the league in this winning streak that they've been on.
17:04So far, your grade is what, Coach?
17:06Well, I think their defense has been really good.
17:08Yeah.
17:08I mean, they're holding them to 44%.
17:09Yes, Jamal got going.
17:11But they did a really good job.
17:12But Mitchell Robinson had good possessions against Nicole Jokic.
17:15So, I think they have passed the test.
17:17But we've got two more quarters to go.
17:19And the difference maker will be?
17:20I always think it's going to be Jokic.
17:22The difference, well, that's always a pretty good bet.
17:24I don't know if it's the first day back at school or what's going on there for Victor Webin-Yama.
17:30Oh, that's swag.
17:31He's ready.
17:33This halftime is presented by the all-new Hyundai Palisade.
17:37Visit HyundaiUSA.com.
17:45Welcome back to NBA Halftime, presented by Hyundai.
17:50It's now time for tonight's epic moment perk.
17:53It's brought to you by Hyundai Palisade.
17:55What's his nickname, Coach?
17:57Bruce E. B.
17:58Bruce Brown.
18:00This is a 35-year.
18:01Another sister Jokic, too, by the way.
18:02Clock.
18:02You're darn right.
18:03That counts.
18:04Not even a dribble.
18:06That's a Jokic shot.
18:07Usually, those half-court heaps.
18:08This halftime is presented by the all-new Hyundai Palisade.
18:16Visit HyundaiUSA.com.
18:22The New York Knicks trying to run their season-high win streak to eight straight, leading Denver 55-53.
18:29They pass Jay Billis and Katie George.
18:32And Jamal Murray making the all-star team for the first time in his career.
18:36And Jay, in that first quarter, he was dominant.
18:38He scored 20 points.
18:39He was ruling the court.
18:40Brought to you by Burger King.
18:41Had 20 points in that first quarter.
18:43He got basically anything he wanted.
18:44Anytime he came off a handoff or a screen, he was able to knock his shots down and create it on his own.
18:5224 points in the first half.
18:54Actually, Landry Shabit of the Knicks came in in the second half, did a really good job on it.
18:58But after getting cut, when he went head-to-head with Spencer Jones in that first half,
19:05Carl-Anthony Towns came back in, had two really good drives, and the Knicks picked up their defense to have a two-point lead at halftime.
19:12The Knicks shot 51% in that first half, went 8 of 18 from 3.
19:17First half stats brought to you by Chewy.
19:19Jokic had 11 to go with six rebounds and five assists.
19:23Jalen Brunson, a quiet first half.
19:25Nine points, three assists, and four turnovers.
19:29Jamal Murray did not have an assist, though, in that first half, despite the 24 points.
19:34Let's check in with Katie for more on him.
19:36Well, Dave, Jay, we all know that Nikola Jokic is not an excitable person by nature, but he was adamant his longtime teammate, Jamal Murray, deserved to become an all-star.
19:45Jokic said, we both make each other's game better and easier, so I wouldn't change him.
19:49I wouldn't change him for anybody.
19:51He said, whenever I say who's my top five teammates in my career, Jamal Murray, he's definitely number one.
19:57Think of all they've been through together.
19:58You go back to early in their careers.
20:02Both guys trying to figure out their roles.
20:04Jamal Murray tears his ACL and then comes back, helps them win a championship a couple years later.
20:12And is there a better two-man game combination, especially late in a quarter, late in a game, than Jokic and Murray?
20:23Jokic came in to the NBA a year before Jamal Murray did.
20:32Jokic picked up the foul as first.
20:40And Brunson now 4-4 at the line, 11 points.
20:44During this win streak, Brunson's numbers are actually down.
20:47He's averaging about 21 points per game during the seven-game win streak.
20:50He was averaging around 28 points per game before him.
20:53He has been getting help.
20:58This is a team, the New York Knicks, that has really good depth.
21:02And they've certainly showed that in this game.
21:04Excellent defense on Murray.
21:06And Brunson out of there with him.
21:09With Bridges and Ananobi, you've got length and defensive versatility.
21:14Ananobi's so good off the ball.
21:16Towns driving, beautiful step through and finish with the left hand against Jokic.
21:23Well, that's three times.
21:24He did it to Balanchunas, now to Jokic.
21:27He is aggressive driving the ball.
21:3015-2, Knicks run going back to the end of the second quarter.
21:36Now it's just extending that catch by Jokic just off the elbow.
21:39Now Jokic with Bridges on him, finds Watson.
21:43Week three is good for Peyton Watson.
21:46That's his first three-point basket.
21:48Top 20 in the NBA in three-point percentage.
21:52And 43% makes over 1.6 per game and shoots 53% on corner threes.
21:59What an improvement by Peyton Watson from the perimeter.
22:03He's made 75 this year.
22:05He made 99 his first three years combined.
22:07Hardaway, Jokic in transition, gets it to roll home.
22:11And Denver pulls back within one.
22:14Good awareness by Tim Hardaway Jr.
22:15Carl Anthony Towns held that ball out like it was a Statue of Liberty play.
22:19Hardaway came from behind to knock it away.
22:27Here's Clarkson who got the start tonight for the injured Josh Hart.
22:30Clarkson has it spin out, but the tip is good by Towns.
22:34Nice job by Towns not giving up on the play.
22:37And the lane is Watson spinning against Annanoby.
22:47Missed the shot, batted out in front of the Denver bench.
22:50Bridges trying to save it.
22:52It'll be Denver ball.
22:52Nick's currently tied for second in the East with the Boston Celtics.
23:03The Knicks and the Hornets with the largest, the longest win streaks right now in the league.
23:08It's seven in a row.
23:09Denver currently 33 and 18.
23:12Third in the West.
23:13No!
23:13No look pass, Jokic to Watson for the slam.
23:17He just knows where everyone is on the floor all the time.
23:21He just maps out the court so efficiently and intelligently.
23:24Seventh assist for Jokic.
23:27No look.
23:28Brunson!
23:29Corner three off target Bridges.
23:32Denver looking to retake the lead.
23:34Led by as many as seven in the first half.
23:37Knicks had a nine-point lead in the first half at one point.
23:40Murray almost traveled and Jokic fouled underneath.
23:46Annanoby commits the foul.
23:48That's two on him.
23:50Watch Nikola Jokic getting the ball just off the post.
23:55And Peyton Watson cut from the left side to the right into that dunker spot.
24:00A spot that's usually occupied by Aaron Gordon.
24:03He's going to be out another four to six weeks.
24:06Really smart movement relocating by Watson.
24:13Last year Jokic was the first player in NBA history to finish in the top three
24:17and points, rebounds, and assists.
24:19And you mentioned he's currently fourth in total assists despite missing 16 games.
24:27In terms of average, he leads the league at about ten and a half assists per game.
24:32Also leads in rebounding, fifth in scoring.
24:36And he's got 16 triple doubles this year which leads the league.
24:39That's one every two games.
24:41I think he can miss only one more game in the regular season
24:44to be eligible for MVP and all the league awards.
24:49He's got to play in 30 of the final 31 games for Denver.
24:54Now gets back up one.
24:55Annanoby hangs and kicks to the corner.
24:58Runs it, a hoist.
24:59And backside rebound for Watson.
25:02Nice look ahead, Jokic.
25:05Murray hangs, flips it up now.
25:08Jokic has it.
25:08Pinball right to him.
25:10Count it.
25:10And he'll go to the line to try to complete the three-point play.
25:15Jokic catches the ball on the run in the middle of the floor,
25:19throws a bullet pass to his left.
25:22And he just has a great sense for where the ball is and where it's going to be.
25:27Or was it Wayne Gretzky said,
25:28you don't skate to where the puck is,
25:30you skate to where it's going to be.
25:32That's what Nikoli Jokic does.
25:34He knows where it's going to be.
25:36Got 17 points now in 20 minutes.
25:39And he's closing in on that minutes restriction after playing 33 last night.
25:43We'll see how David Adelman handles his minutes here in the final quarter and a half of this game.
25:51I would play dumb and tell the doctors,
25:53I thought you said 20 minutes a half.
26:03Brunson at the foul line, creates some airspace and hits.
26:07That's what he was so good at at Villanova, those back downs.
26:10He can turn his back and operate almost like a big guy.
26:14He can operate down in the post with it and be a playmaker that way.
26:18Brown with the extra pass.
26:21Murray out of the corner, can't knock down the triple.
26:25Good box out by Bridges.
26:29Brunson working on Christian Brown.
26:31Brown's second game back from injury.
26:33Brunson mid-range, no.
26:35And Ananobi takes it from Jokic.
26:38Brunson three, no good.
26:40Hardaway clears and looks to run.
26:44Knicks get back though.
26:45Hardaway in transition.
26:46Brains the long three at the logo.
26:51But he was thinking shot all the way.
26:53A little pitch back by Christian Brown.
26:55That was deep.
26:57His first field goal of the game.
26:59And Denver has a five-point lead.
27:01Five minutes gone by here in the third.
27:05Shot clock down to six.
27:07Ananobi on the face up, 25 feet away.
27:11Two to shoot.
27:12Ananobi, air ball.
27:1424-second violation by New York.
27:18Eight turnovers now on the Knicks.
27:21And a timeout here at the Garden.
27:22With Denver leading by five, Jokic having a great third quarter.
27:25A-B-C, Ernie, Kenny, Charles, and Shaq tip-off coverage at 8 Eastern time.
27:35They'll also be back at 11 Eastern to break it all down.
27:41They pass Jay Billis, Katie George.
27:43Let's check out fly better moments brought to you by Emirates.
27:45Well, Nikoli Jokic has been passing the ball very efficiently and intelligently,
27:51especially in the second half.
27:54You saw him get Peyton Watson on the far side for Watson's long three of the game
27:58and then finds him after the relocation right under the bucket
28:01on that little post-up off the lane on the left side.
28:04He's got seven rebounds, seven assists to go with his 18 points.
28:08And seven of those 18 points coming in the third quarter.
28:11Meanwhile, Jamal Murray with the assist.
28:15As Tim Hardaway gets the basket, that is the first assist of the night
28:19for Murray, who is seventh in the lead in assists.
28:22Denver's been really effective playing out of that middle third of the floor.
28:26That eliminates help, and they've gotten some great cuts.
28:29Towns can't knock down the three, rebound Jokic.
28:33Denver with its largest lead of the game at seven
28:35at the midway point of the third.
28:37Pull-up three, Murray, no.
28:39And Clarkson got the board.
28:41Dick's about to go to their bench, which was really good in the first half.
28:46And Ananobi on the spot-up.
28:48Much-needed hit for New York.
28:50New York's caught Denver a few times in transition defense
28:54where they haven't been able to get matchups,
28:56and Ananobi taking advantage of it
28:57off an excellent pass by Jalen Brunson.
29:02Murray bumped off the spot by Bridges.
29:05Now Jokic with a shot clock at seven.
29:07Murray and Jokic working together.
29:09Bout away by Bridges, and Brunson heads up play,
29:12throws it down floor to Clarkson, who lays it in.
29:15Five quick points for the Knicks.
29:17That was excellent defense by Mikael Bridges.
29:20After Murray got by him, he was still active to get in that passing lane
29:26and get a deflection in the turnover.
29:29Here's Christian Brown.
29:30It really is yet to get going offensively.
29:32He's taken only one shot, just his 16th game play this season.
29:37Jokic working on Bridges, falling away on the baseline, comes up short.
29:42One and done for Denver.
29:44Towns gets it to Brunson.
29:46Brunson downhill, foul, and gets the bounce!
29:49Ties the game and a chance at a three-point play.
29:53Well, New York is taking advantage of Denver in transition situations,
29:57and Jalen Brunson body-seeking on Peyton Watson
30:02and gets the continuation to go down.
30:05Foul is on Watson, his first.
30:08Second team foul in Denver.
30:10It is a 7-0 Knicks run.
30:12We're back in New York with an interesting stat.
30:29New York is 19-2 when Jalen Brunson takes 20 or fewer shots,
30:34compared to being 12-12 when he shoots more than that.
30:37When Brunson moves the ball, his teammates do the same.
30:40Josh Hart, who's unavailable tonight, said it doesn't always have to be JB or Cat, Cat or JB.
30:45This team believes in its depth, and as Brunson continues to prove,
30:49his selflessness is another reason why he's elite.
30:51He's 5 of 11 from the field so far tonight, guys.
30:54What do you make of that stat when you see that, Jay?
30:56Well, you know, sometimes you talk about a point guard and say, well, you get everybody involved,
31:01but sometimes everybody has to get involved.
31:04My sense is there are a number of times when Jalen Brunson has to take it on his own
31:07because guys aren't getting open, guys aren't moving as much.
31:12Robinson with the slam in transition, and he started that with the deflection on defense.
31:21Robinson had a great stretch in that first half at eight points.
31:26That lob dunk really active when Carl Anthony Towns went out after getting that cut right around his right eye.
31:349-0 run by the Knicks.
31:35Jokic around Robinson and puts it up and in with the left hand.
31:3920 points, and now 24 minutes for Jokic.
31:43Looks like we're going to feel above his minutes restriction number again tonight.
31:48Post game, late third.
31:53They work it to Ananobi, corner three.
31:56It's good for OG Ananobi.
31:59A really good pass from Landry Schammett.
32:01He could have taken that shot.
32:03Schammett had a really good first half.
32:04I thought the second quarter, he did as the best job of anyone,
32:09in this Knicks roster, and guarding Jamal Murth.
32:12Ananobi is shooting better than 50% from three during the seven-game Knicks win streak.
32:17Shot clock at five.
32:18Jokic on the smaller Schammett.
32:20Pushes it to the corner.
32:22Watson can't hit.
32:23He's one for six from three.
32:30Knicks turn a seven-point deficit into a three-point lead.
32:33Looking to add to it.
32:34Good find by Ananobi, but the three is no good for Diawara.
32:38That's the way Mike Brown wants the Knicks to play.
32:41Drive, closeouts, get to the lane, and spray it out.
32:45Murray, short, still looking for his first points of the third quarter.
32:49He had 20 in the first and four points since.
32:57Diawara's driving.
32:58Oh, what a screen by Robinson, and that sprayed up Diawara for the drive and finish.
33:03Yeah, that left-handed drive, Robinson just cleared out the health defense so no one can challenge at the rim.
33:09The second game of our NBA Wednesday doubleheader will come to you from San Antonio.
33:23Victor Wembenyamo has been phenomenal this year for the San Antonio Spurs.
33:28They've beaten the Thunder three out of four times already this season.
33:31They'll meet again tonight.
33:32No shake, you'll just Alexander and several other members of the Thunder banged up going into this one.
33:37Knicks on a 14-2 run, so out of the timeout, they go inside to Valanchunas.
33:43Is Jokic just getting a breather?
33:45And they get an easy basket.
33:46Beautiful job by Murray to get the right angle after that screen roll by Valanchunas.
33:53Brunson drills a three, his second triple.
33:58It was a quiet first half for Jalen Brunson, but he has come alive here in the third with nine points after scoring nine in the first half.
34:07Strader has it poked away from behind by Brunson.
34:16Nearing two minutes to play in the third, the Knicks leading by six.
34:21Brunson puts it up again and hits again.
34:24Back-to-back threes for Brunson.
34:25The Brunson burner ignited here at the Garden late in the third.
34:33Hardaway catch and shoot and the answer.
34:37He gets into that shot so quickly.
34:45Back to a six-point game.
34:47Hardaway's second three.
34:49Brunson low-go three, no good.
34:51He checked for Brunson.
34:55Hardaway, great shake of D'Illara.
34:58Fires to the corner.
34:59Strother took his time and knocked it down.
35:02The crossover looked familiar.
35:10Senior.
35:11His dad's in attendance tonight.
35:12Brunson fires underneath to Ananobi and a foul called on Valanchunas.
35:19That'll be his third and the third on Denver here in the quarter.
35:23First in the last two minutes.
35:25So the next one will put them over the limit.
35:28And Ananobi with a couple of threes here in the third quarter.
35:40Got 13.7 rebounds.
35:43Take a look at the upcoming national TV schedule.
35:45A doubleheader on Prime Video tomorrow with the Bulls and Raptors.
35:48Followed by Golden State in Phoenix.
35:51And Prime Video Friday.
35:52Knicks Detroit.
35:53Clippers Kings.
35:54From Oregon to NBA.com.
35:55There's Tim Hardaway Sr.
35:56The killer crossover.
35:59Hall of Famer.
36:03I wonder if he gets nervous watching his son play after all these years.
36:07He probably thinks he hasn't knocked it out for a anymore.
36:10You're 13 for Junior in the NBA.
36:13Out of Michigan.
36:15And his first year with the Nuggets.
36:17Great pickup in the offseason to try to bolster the bench.
36:20Win another championship.
36:21He's fouled by Bridges.
36:24First on the Knicks in the last two minutes.
36:26Second on McHale Bridges.
36:35And Ananobi to the bench.
36:37The Awara back out there for New York.
36:44Here's Murray.
36:45Strother in and out and rebounded by Towns.
36:54Seventh board for Towns.
36:55Here's Brunson.
36:56Pull up three.
36:57Hit it.
36:58Jalen Brunson.
36:5915 points here in the third quarter.
37:02Bruce Brown was down in a stance with his heels on the three-point line.
37:06But Jalen Brunson just sized him up and shot over him.
37:13Tying Murray now for the game high in points with 24.
37:16And it's basically face guarding Jamal Murray.
37:19And an offensive foul on Valanchunas knocking Brunson to the ground.
37:23That is four on Valanchunas.
37:25And his second screening foul.
37:27He didn't do it got him shoulder to chest.
37:37Well you get screened by Valanchunas.
37:38He stays screened.
37:42Valanchunas will check out.
37:43Christian Brown.
37:44Into the game.
37:45About a 12 second difference in the game and shot clock.
37:48So a chance.
37:49And a two for one if the Knicks can hurry.
37:51The Knicks on a 25 to 10 run.
37:56They trailed by seven.
37:58And Brunson working on Hardaway.
38:00Step back three.
38:02No good.
38:02Rebound Murray.
38:04Six second difference in the clocks here at the end of the third.
38:15Jam it right with Murray.
38:16Did a nice job on him in the second quarter.
38:18Now Towns comes to help but commits a foul.
38:22And that will send Murray to the line.
38:24That is the second team foul in the last two minutes.
38:29First personal on Towns.
38:37Murray four or five at the line.
38:39He's shooting 88% of the stripe on the season.
38:48His first points of the second half.
38:52Actually his free throw percentage is really the only thing he has done that's a career high.
38:57He's having a career year.
39:00And if he keeps it up and there's no sign he won't.
39:04It is all NBA quality.
39:08Turned 29 years old here in a couple weeks.
39:11Right after he makes his first appearance at the All-Star game.
39:16Got them both.
39:17Six point game.
39:1812.4 remaining here in the third quarter.
39:22And Brown will defend Brunson up the court.
39:25Remember with that small lineup.
39:29Three seconds left.
39:30And an OB drives the lane.
39:32Gets it up off the rim.
39:33And it won't go.
39:34And the quarter comes to an end.
39:35So the Knicks turn a seven point deficit into a six point lead behind the great play of Jalen Brunson.
39:52Back to NBA Wednesday presented by State Farm.
39:55We're on the sidelines with Carl Anthony Towns who looked like he was starring in a Quentin Tarantino movie in the first half.
40:00Cat, how's the eye?
40:01What did you have to do to get back on the court?
40:03I just want to play.
40:04I want to play.
40:05This is a great game.
40:05This is a great basketball being played right now on TV.
40:07And, you know, this is what the fans want.
40:09So it's okay.
40:10I look like I fought Shakur Stevenson.
40:13You guys were able to take the lead there in the third quarter.
40:15How do you continue to find separation in the fourth to make it eight in a row?
40:18We got to get some stops.
40:19I think we get some stops.
40:20We get back to using our pace, translating defense to offense.
40:24I think it will help us greatly finish this game out.
40:26Thanks, Cap.
40:27Yeah.
40:27Dave?
40:29Well, Katie, you saw that 27-1 as Towns scores inside after leading, or after, when leading,
40:34after three.
40:35That's the second-best record in the league behind the Lakers, who are 22-0, when having
40:40a lead going into the fourth.
40:42Carl Anthony Towns has been so aggressive since he came back in the game after getting that
40:48cut under the eye.
40:49And, you know, the first one to be able to get into the lane, and it's the foul there on Strother, who scores and will go to the line.
40:54That's two possessions in a row that Strother's been able to get into the lane, turning the corner, going to his right.
41:02Bridge is getting picked off again by Nikola Jokic.
41:06And that's one thing the Knicks have to do is cut off the lane.
41:08And the paint scoring by Denver has been impressive.
41:15Now, Denver has been dealing with injuries all year.
41:18Julian Strother missed about a month with a back.
