00:00There has been deadly violence in Balochistan, and just really for the benefit of our viewers,
00:05we're talking here about Pakistan's largest province in terms of area.
00:10It's on the southwestern border with Afghanistan.
00:12What's your understanding of the current situation there?
00:16Well, the current situation is quite under control of the Pakistan security forces
00:20and the government of Balochistan and the government of Pakistan.
00:23But the context of this recent cycle of violence unleashed by proxy terrorists sponsored from abroad
00:32is that they tried to have attacks on Pakistan's hospitals, banks, schools, military installations.
00:45And it was an offensive which was apparently timed with the volatile and unstable regional scenario
00:53because Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province, as you rightly mentioned,
00:58is bordering Iran with 900 kilometers and also parts of Afghanistan.
01:05So the context was the regional scenario in Iran.
01:10And also Pakistan is about to launch the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,
01:16CPEC, which is part of the Belt and Road Initiative,
01:20and the Gawada Port in Balochistan on the Arabian Sea, is the centerpiece of CPEC.
01:27Plus, we have critical minerals in Balochistan province,
01:30and we are having a strong investment from international investors,
01:35both in the west and in the east, from the east in Balochistan.
01:40So it's basically a classic case of destabilization and covert operations externally sponsored primarily by India
01:49and perhaps with a wink or a nod from Israel too.
