The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Tuesday night, Feb 4, confirmed the possible location of the sunken MV Trisha Kerstin 3 as three more bodies were recovered by search and retrieval teams, pushing the death toll to 45.

00:00The Philippine Coast Guard has confirmed the possible location of the sunken MV Trisha Kirsten 3
00:08during the dive operations in the sea of Balok Balok Island, Basilan, on Tuesday night, February 4th.
00:15PCG Technical Diving Group Supervisor Commander Cheska Jamarol said the vessel is lying in an east-to-west orientation relative to Balok Balok Island.
00:25The vessel, believed to be the MV Trisha Kirsten 3, was found using the side-scan sonar system deployed by the PCG on the sixth day of diving operations.
00:36Meanwhile, the joint search and rescue team composed of government agencies, local government units, and fisherfolk volunteers
00:44also recovered one cadaver on Tuesday and two more on Wednesday, bringing the total fatality count to 45.
00:51The MV Trisha Kirsten 3 sank at around 1 a.m. last January 26, tallying around 316 passengers surviving the incident.
