00:00You were the first party leader or politician to call for a police investigation into Peter Mandelson and his email exchanges with Geoffrey Epstein.
00:11We know now that Lord Mandelson is retiring from the House of Lords, that the government is giving the police information.
00:20What needs to happen now in your view?
00:23We support the police investigation, but beyond that I think we're going to need a public inquiry.
00:28The threat to national security that Lord Mandelson posed, giving away secrets to someone who could benefit at a time when our country was in great peril, was quite outrageous.
00:42So let the criminal investigation happen first, but we're going to need a public inquiry into national security and also into the British victims of Geoffrey Epstein.
