00:00Tourism Secretary Cristina Frasco faced questioning from Senator Rafi Tulfo during a Committee on Tourism hearing over the use of her image on various promotional materials.
00:11This including a magazine in Japan and local tarpaulins instead of showcasing tourist destinations.
00:18Senator Tulfo criticized the strategy, stating that it will not sell when Secretary's face is what on the marketing materials.
00:26Frasco answered that she had absolutely no consent, funding or information regarding the use of her image in the magazine.
00:34She also clarified that the controversial tarpaulin in the Burakai airport was a welcome tarpaulin for an inauguration event that she was expected to attend.
00:44Frasco has already ordered this to be taken down along with other similar tarpaulins with her image in the regions.
00:51Frasco also denied any political intentions, asserting that she has no national ambition.
00:57She also maintained that the DOT is focused on fulfilling its mandates.
