00:00Gabungan Parti Sarawak Secretary General Alexander Nanta Lingyi has sought to clarify his remark
00:06on divorce in a recent radio interview, saying he was not suggesting that Sarawak wanted
00:11to separate from Malaysia.
00:13Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event at the Public Works Department's
00:17headquarters, Nanta said he only made the remark to urge Malaysians to live in unity
00:22and harmony.
00:24The federal works minister clarified that it was just an expression and Malaysians should
00:29live in harmony and peace.
00:31He also said his comments had been taken out of context and that his real message was
00:36for Malaysians to focus on improving economic management rather than engage in political
00:41bickering.
00:42Nanta said he made it clear during the interview that he loved Malaysia and wanted to protect
00:47the country, but that some had chosen to focus on only part of his remarks.
00:52In an interview with BFM Radio last week, Nanta mentioned the constant quarrels and political
00:57bickering in peninsular Malaysia and asked whether Malaysia was meant to be one nation in the
01:03place.
01:04Nanta said Raja, FMT.
