00:00Our goal is to see that we change the livelihood of this farmer.
00:13As a regulator, as Calro, as CGA, we are all interested in changing the livelihood
00:20or creating a sustainable livelihood of the farmer.
00:25Remember, we have tested insect, it is working. We have tested drought, it is working.
00:31Now, we need to test the one for the weed. And then, we need to put all this technology into one product.
00:39So that when we go to the farmer, we are safe.
00:44The moment you start telling youth that, it runs away.
00:58I still add, we need the voice of the farmer.
01:01I've seen the solution that the genetically engineered products are providing to farmers real-time.
01:08And that solution needs to be taken to the judge by a farmer.
01:13As a country or as a county government, we put a lot of emphasis on ensuring that we bring all stakeholders in this conversation
01:26at the county level and also at the national level.
01:30One of the key emphasis, again, has also been to ensure that we capacity build our farmers
01:36and ensure that at the lowest level of our farmer engagement through the county established systems and infrastructure,
01:45we can be able to have conversations with farmers to explain these technologies.
