00:00:00good evening ladies and gentlemen and i welcome all of you to the very first episode of narcos so
00:00:13it's a it's another one of those shows that to be honest i've waited a very very long time for
00:00:20to actually start watching no idea why i didn't decide to start watching earlier but you know
00:00:25what it's just one of those things and without knowing anything about this show apart from this
00:00:32is about colombian drug smuggler pablo escobar i want to i want to see what this is all about because
00:00:39i don't exactly know what to expect what i am however anticipating is that it's going to involve
00:00:46a lot of murder a lot of infighting an awful lot of a lot of chaos is going to ensue from the very
00:00:58from the word go and i don't even think by the time the show is over will the carnage stop because i
00:01:06think i think this is almost one of those uh sort of worlds where it never ends probably because
00:01:13there's too much money to be made on the back of human suffering sad but true so all that being
00:01:19said here it is the very first episode of narcos let's go literally just before i watch the wire too
00:01:27the television series is inspired by true events some of the characters names business incidents in
00:01:42locations and events have been fictionalized for dramatization purposes any similarity to the
00:01:47name character or history of any person is entirely coincidental and unintentional
00:01:51okay there you are there's your disclaimer of the day
00:01:55magical realism is defined as what happens when a highly detailed realistic setting is invaded by
00:02:13something too strange to believe
00:02:16nowadays the u.s government can listen to anything you say they know where you are they know who you're
00:02:35talking to and trust me they know who you're fucking you turn on a cell phone or a computer and you're doomed
00:02:44but in colombia 1989 it wasn't that easy first off there was no internet no cells the best they had
00:02:54were satellite phones in order to capture a satellite phone you had to fly directly over
00:02:59on top of that the only people who had sat phones were the filthy rich the landowners the politicians
00:03:06drug powers for us the narcos were richer than them all
00:03:12and once you got a signal you didn't know who you were listening to that's why back then the u.s
00:03:31government developed software that could identify the voices of our targets
00:03:35i got poisoned at 400 to 1700 megahertz jungle and you guessed it no gps either
00:03:42hammer so you had no idea where they were once we got a target we still had it located
00:03:49so we had to triangulate their signals using assets on the ground
00:03:56okay he's in modelia he's on the west side hawkeye how do you copy that can you be more specific
00:04:02police units are standing by
00:04:14poison didn't know it but he just made himself a date negative on hammer this
00:04:20fuck waters tell us where he's going hammer disengage so who do we give this to ea
00:04:27yeah let's give it to javier opinion pay is an asshole i'm gonna give it to the other guy
00:04:35by the other guy he meant me i'm steve murphy
00:04:38drug enforcement agent and as you can see i am deeply embedded in colombia hello
00:04:54i would have loved to go after poison myself but the dea is restricted in a foreign country
00:04:59so i did just what you would do i called the cops
00:05:04hola
00:05:04hey spenceria
00:05:09he's done
00:05:09yeah but again how how reliable would this have been because do you think the police would have
00:05:19uh cared do you think that because who do you think is going to be more afraid of um afraid of the of
00:05:24all the of all the narcos the baron of course the police will either either be in on it or
00:05:30they know fine well that narcos would literally be running a small army with foot soldiers literally
00:05:38armed to the teeth
00:05:43yeah i'm not too sure
00:05:45i really don't what's that one rate class in uh warhammer 40 000 the orcs something like that who
00:05:53uh absolutely insane mercenaries and their their entire purpose was to uh is death and destruction
00:06:03yeah that's got to describe some of the foot soldiers would you want to take even one on let alone
00:06:08two i i don't i wouldn't no absolutely no way even if i was a police officer even if i had
00:06:17all the jurisdiction in the world and had all the means to take them down
00:06:23hey vena kennedy
00:06:26tu compañero me acaba de dar un regalito
00:06:31pues
00:06:45pues me voy
00:06:47me vas a clavar con la cuenta cabrón
00:06:53i'll take that as a yes
00:06:55you can shoot that guy
00:06:57in case you're wondering this is the asshole javier pena my partner and this is colonel carillo the
00:07:05leader of the search block the unit we helped create to capture the bad guys boy did he have a lot of
00:07:11love for the narcos
00:07:16party time in zona rosa everybody goes there especially the local hitmen colombians call them cicados
00:07:24what is that my son
00:07:25my brother
00:07:28we're going to go in there we're going to go in there
00:07:30now poison he was one of the best
00:07:33crazy motherfucker who killed dozens of people
00:07:36probably hundreds
00:07:39but don't get me wrong i would have sent carillo there even if poison never killed a fly
00:07:44i don't have a lot of love for the narcos
00:07:46don't have a love for nothing not love for narcos
00:07:56we'll see you by the end of this
00:08:00that's a lot of i know muchachos

00:08:29i wouldn't blame you if you held me responsible for this bloodbath
00:08:32yeah i pushed the buttons
00:08:47yep there it is
00:08:52but don't call me a bad guy just yet
00:09:02so
00:09:52e
00:09:54esto
00:09:56es
00:09:59y
00:10:00Oh, dices to me that I'm
00:10:05Basta comirar
00:10:08Oh, and to you será
00:10:11And to you será
00:10:15The musical is all very glorious, so it must be said
00:10:26Meanwhile
00:10:27Take Richard Nixon, for instance
00:10:29People forget that 47 million Americans voted for Nixon
00:10:33We thought he was one of the good guys
00:10:36And Nixon thought Chilean general Pinochet was a good guy
00:10:40Because he hated the commons
00:10:41So we helped Pinochet seize power
00:10:44Then Pinochet turned around and killed thousands of people
00:10:56Maybe not such a good guy after all
00:10:58But sometimes bad guys do good things
00:11:08Nobody knows this, but back in 73
00:11:13Chile was on its way to being the world's biggest cocaine processing and exporting center
00:11:18They had deserts to hide the labs
00:11:25And miles of unpatrolled coastline to shift the product north
00:11:28But Pinochet spoiled the party
00:11:39He shot down 33 labs and arrested 346 drug dealers
00:11:46And then
00:11:51Bing Pinochet
00:11:52Killed them
00:11:54He had them all killed
00:11:55Atención fir

00:12:04They say when a nuclear holocaust destroys the world
00:12:20Only the cockroaches will survive
00:12:22I guess they were right
00:12:26The bullets missed Matteo Moreno
00:12:31A.K.A. Cockroach
00:12:33And he was smart enough to play dead
00:12:35Probably the shark more than anything
00:12:39He wasn't killed on that day
00:12:41However
00:12:43Instead
00:12:44He won the damn lottery
00:12:46Oh
00:12:48Cockroach
00:12:51He had been stealing from his bosses for months
00:12:53Now he was left alone in the world with the perfect product
00:12:56A product whose offer creates its own demand
00:13:00Back then we were just finding out about the effects of cocaine on the human brain
00:13:26We didn't know much but we knew it was some pretty powerful shit
00:13:31Cocaine hijacks the pleasure centers in the brain
00:13:36A rat will
00:13:38Choose cocaine over food and water
00:13:45It would choose cocaine over sleep
00:13:48Over sex
00:13:49Over life itself
00:13:51The human brain isn't quite the same as a rodent's
00:13:54Ah
00:13:55Unless we're talking about cocaine
00:13:59Cockroach knew he had the perfect product
00:14:08He just needed to smuggle it to the right markets
00:14:11And of course he knew what to do
00:14:15And the best smugglers in the world were in Colombia
00:14:17Mmm
00:14:18Like Goldilocks he had three options
00:14:24And pay attention because all three are important to this story
00:14:28The Ashowa brothers
00:14:32Jorge
00:14:33That's Fabi on the horse
00:14:35A typical Colombian smuggling family
00:14:38They were smart
00:14:40And rich
00:14:41The cockroach felt the high life and made him too soft
00:14:45Another possible partner was José Rodríguez Gacha
00:14:50Nicknamed the Mexican for his love of tequila and sombreros
00:14:53He dominated the emerald smuggling routes
00:14:57Emeralds are a pretty rough trade even by Colombian standards
00:15:07If you make it to the top
00:15:09If you make it to the top
00:15:09It means you killed your enemies
00:15:12And sometimes your partners
00:15:19Cockroach worried that the emerald trade had made Gacha too hard
00:15:28So he zeroed in on his third option
00:15:32A man cockroach knew would be just right
00:15:36Yeah, you guessed it
00:15:41Pablo Escobar
00:15:43The man who would change my life forever
00:15:46Pablo was making a killing in the smuggling business
00:15:51Cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, you name it
00:15:54At the time Pablo owned half the police in Medellin
00:15:59But DAS was Colombian's version of the FBI
00:16:03They didn't play by the same rules
00:16:06Definitely not
00:16:08Well, what rules are there really?
00:16:21You're talking about the same rules
00:16:22You're talking about the same rules
00:16:23Don't be quiet, you're talking about the same rules
00:16:24Don't be quiet, be quiet
00:16:25Be quiet
00:16:26Be quiet
00:16:28I told you that Mr. Jose Luis
00:16:31How do you know my name?
00:16:34You're the coronel Jose Luis Herrera
00:16:36He is Nacho Ibarra
00:16:41There is Garcia
00:16:46Lopez
00:16:48Lopez
00:16:49Is this Pinilla?
00:16:50Yes, Pinilla
00:16:51Is this Pinilla?

00:16:56I'm not sure about this
00:17:03I'm not sure about this
00:17:04Open, open
00:17:05Oh, no
00:17:06He's not
00:17:23He's not
00:17:24the privilege, coronel.
00:17:25Ah, sí?
00:17:26Que me diga.
00:17:27¿Y los papeles de importación?
00:17:30Necesita papeles para sus televisores.
00:17:32Lléveselos.
00:17:35Qué pena, señor Escobar,
00:17:36pero es que nosotros no somos
00:17:38la policía de Medellín
00:17:39que se gana una mierda a la semana.
00:17:40No, hermana, es que no es para usted.
00:17:42Entonces.
00:17:43Es para Carlitos.
00:17:45Su hijo.
00:17:47Uh-oh.
00:17:49No creo, pues,
00:17:49que le gustaría tener
00:17:50un televisor en el cuarto.
00:17:51Llega, Pinilla.
00:17:57Su hija acaba de sacar el pase,

00:18:15Su esposa es muy hermosa, hermano.
00:18:18¿Qué has hecho
00:18:18con un tipo como usted?
00:18:21He knows everything, ¿no?
00:18:26Creo que se merece
00:18:27unas hollitas, ¿no?
00:18:32con unos regalitos?
00:18:38¿Y oiga, coronel?
00:18:39Su mamá, ¿cómo está?
00:18:41¿Salió de la clínica o qué?
00:18:42Sí, sí,
00:18:43ella está más aliviada.
00:18:44Es que bueno.
00:18:45Eso nos alegra mucho, ¿sí o qué?
00:18:46Sí.
00:18:48Señores.
00:18:49Les voy a decir
00:18:52quién soy.
00:18:54Yo soy Pablo Emilio

00:18:58Mis ojos están
00:18:59en todos lados.
00:19:01O sea, ustedes no pueden
00:19:02hacer una puta sola mierda

00:19:05sin que yo me entere.
00:19:06Sí, señores.

00:19:08un dedo.

00:19:29I want to know
00:19:29what he said.
00:19:30You can either
00:19:30take my deal or what.
00:19:33What's the alternative?
00:19:34Come on.
00:19:35Except the consequences.
00:19:53Oh.
00:20:01Listo, pues.
00:20:02Wow!
00:20:32Wow!
00:21:02¿Qué es lo más rentable para nosotros?
00:21:04Explícale.
00:21:41No, no, no, no.
00:21:48Nos vamos a forrar, weón.
00:21:50Hermanos de combi indigo, ¿qué se llama?
00:21:52Cucaracha.
00:21:55Hoy voy a cuca.
00:22:11Oh.
00:22:13Oh.
00:22:14Encanta esa canción.
00:22:16Rodrigo, nada más.
00:22:19No.
00:22:20No.
00:22:21No.
00:22:22No.
00:22:23No, no, no.
00:22:24No.
00:22:25No.
00:22:46Back then, Miami was a paradise. I signed up for the sand, surf and women. In 79, the bad guys I was chasing were flip-flops. I was a young DEA agent partnered with my buddy Kevin Brady. Kevin was a little slow afoot.
00:23:07Why are you running, huh? What you got? What is this? Huh? What is that? That right there? That's a goddamn promotion. Let's go celebrate. Woo! Look at that.
00:23:30How much money are you on here? Whatever the money you owe me last week, huh? That's right, that's right.
00:23:37All right. All right, who do we pick? How about her? No, no, no. We got a fuck wheel. Yeah, let's miss when we say it. Um, right there. See her? The bar? Which one? Blue top right there. Yeah, just... She's a fuck. Yep. Stay all righty!
00:23:53All right. Woo! Merck, Sparrow, 3 o'clock. Hey, while you were walking back, she was checking your ass out. Oh, she was checking out your ass. Get the fuck out of here. Come on.
00:24:04Listen, she eye-fucked you the entire time. She was eye-fucking you the entire time.
00:24:12I'm serious. I'm serious. Look at her. Uh-huh. That's his type. Talking about the blonde one.
00:24:17No, the other one. Of course the blonde one. She's the hottest one there. She's your type.
00:24:22You taking me around? Yeah.
00:24:25Hey, dude. Hey.
00:24:28Fuck it, I'm going in.
00:24:29Go get it.
00:24:30Yep.
00:24:31Hey, while you're up there, you get us another picture, will you?
00:24:33I'm not.
00:24:34Face yourself.
00:24:35Look at him. Look at his swag.
00:24:37He makes her so happy.
00:24:41He's at Spoling Boy.
00:24:42Yeah.
00:24:43I just...
00:24:44How are you doing?
00:24:49Busy.
00:24:51Oh.
00:24:51I just said, you know, that she didn't want to be there.
00:24:54Oh, shut down, mummy.
00:24:55It's a person who left me in.
00:24:57So, I don't know what she's saying.
00:24:59Yeah, those bastards got me.
00:25:05But I couldn't let it in like that.
00:25:07Excuse me.
00:25:09See those guys over there?
00:25:11Uh, the fuck come with me.
00:25:13They tell me you're checking out my ass.
00:25:14Who checks out a cop's ass, right?
00:25:16You're a cop.
00:25:18Not a cop, actually.
00:25:19I'm a DA.
00:25:20Drug enforcement?
00:25:21So you're the one who's going to be more expensive?
00:25:24Come on, why don't you do me a favor?
00:25:25I'm going to show these guys up.
00:25:28Why don't you, uh, give me a phone?
00:25:32How about a fake number?
00:25:35That'll work.
00:25:36Hey, buddy, you got a pen?
00:25:37Sorry for the show.
00:25:54Sure.
00:25:55Have a good night.
00:25:57Where's the picture at?
00:26:07A picture?
00:26:07Oh, uh, I didn't make it back, but the picture, I just came up with this.
00:26:11I couldn't really read it.
00:26:12What does that say?
00:26:14Give me that.
00:26:17How much did that cost you?
00:26:18Take your handwriting.
00:26:19It's all my handwriting.
00:26:20I figured, what the hell?
00:26:29Hmm.
00:26:30Worse that could happen, I'd wake up some grandmother in Boca.
00:26:39Hello.
00:26:42So, what in the fake?
00:26:44I thought you might figure it out.
00:26:46After all, you're DEA.
00:26:48And just like that, she had me.
00:26:53The minute Pablo laid his eyes on the paste processing labs in Peru,
00:26:59cocaine had him.
00:27:00So much, I don't care.
00:27:22yeah that's true yeah they've used petrol for this true story
00:27:52yeah that's true guys um anybody out there who's ever done cocaine before will probably
00:28:17be like to be reminded of the fact that um the things that go into the production of cocaine
00:28:24including but not limited to petrol and i'm telling you this now guys for your own good
00:28:30petrol does not belong in your body it belongs in my car engine it does not belong anywhere near my
00:28:39body so why would you why would you even think about taking something that you have no idea what
00:28:46it is or what goes into it including among many other things ciao labor on the back of it so
00:28:54yeah i hope this uh i hope this was enlightening at any rate so uh let's get going
00:29:01he wants all of it
00:29:29it's not going to go to the front of it
00:29:32this is with gustavo cucar
00:29:36it's a very good machine i've already put it on the head and the best place to guard the
00:29:44mercantile is here below the guard bar
00:29:4722.5 horsepower
00:29:49this is the secret no worries about that crap i put five kilos there easily
00:29:533 cars, please.
00:29:56Yes, of course. When?
00:29:57For there, brother.
00:29:59Let's go to the cars and we'll go back to the laboratory.
00:30:02Why are we going to go back to the laboratory?
00:30:05Because there are 4 cars per car.
00:30:085 cars per car, 20 kilos per car.
00:30:10For 3 cars, 60 kilos.
00:30:12That's 9 dollars per gram.
00:30:14What?
00:30:15$10,000 per kilo.
00:30:17$540,000.
00:30:20That's it.
00:30:22That's half a million dollars per trip.
00:30:29Bloody hell.
00:30:30Using the same smuggling routes he always used.
00:30:34Easiest money he ever made.
00:30:38You're not kidding.
00:30:40Half a million dollars back in the late 70s.
00:30:44Pablo didn't waste any time.
00:30:46He bought a house in his old neighborhood and opened his first lab to turn Peruvian paste
00:30:51into cocaine powder.
00:30:53Hey, what's up, Guttadito?
00:30:57I don't know, all this smells like this.
00:30:59Oh, you're ignorant.
00:31:01This is like the French cheese.
00:31:03This is the thinner and thinner.
00:31:05I don't know.
00:31:06I don't know.
00:31:07I don't know.
00:31:08I don't know.
00:31:09I don't know.
00:31:10And all these...
00:31:11Phew.
00:31:12Anyway, sorry about...
00:31:13Yes, again.
00:31:14The CPU...
00:31:15I can't tell if I'm just gonna have to swap PCs at some point because this thing is like...
00:31:24CPU, at one point it was as high as 3.6%.
00:31:28So at some point, yeah, I think I'm probably gonna have to like swap...
00:31:31Um, give the old, uh, give the old girl a little bit of a break.
00:31:36Or possibly just record on a different PC.
00:31:38Maybe that's what I'm gonna have to do.
00:31:40Yeah, I think, um...
00:31:42I think this, this old girl was starting to show her age, huh?
00:31:46Anyway, that's, uh...
00:31:48Let's get to the end.
00:31:50To visit the little girl, to transport the little girl, the artist here, I'm you.
00:31:54Are we?
00:31:55Of course.
00:31:56Yes or no?
00:31:58No, no.
00:31:59It was a mom and pop operation.
00:32:01So small they called it the kitchen.
00:32:03But make no mistake, it would change Medellin forever.
00:32:07You know what, there's something that I'm worried about, Pablo.
00:32:16Will the workers go out with all that water?
00:32:27Let's go to the kitchen.
00:32:36Feverloff.
00:32:37Guys, the first three?
00:32:39Hey, but if this business leaves so much money,
00:32:41why do you send me a tourist class, or what?
00:32:43Because we're starting to take care of the money.
00:32:45You're going to take care of the money.
00:32:46No, no, no, no, no.
00:32:47Don't come with crazy.
00:32:48Come on.
00:32:49But, let's see, how much can a first class cost a pass?
00:32:51Well, where?
00:32:52Buy it, you buy it!
00:32:53Like your son, Pablo's mother,
00:32:59Emilda, was very resourceful.
00:33:01How much do you think we could put in there?
00:33:05About five kilos, my son.
00:33:07All that?
00:33:08Believe me, my little brother.
00:33:10I love it.
00:33:11Okay.
00:33:15I love it.
00:33:16I love it.
00:33:17I love it.
00:33:18I love it.
00:33:19I love it.
00:33:20I love it.
00:33:21I love it.
00:33:22I love it.
00:33:23I love it.
00:33:24I love it.
00:33:25Pablo loved his young bride, Tata, and she loved him.
00:33:28He was a family man till the end.
00:33:31The guy that got to wear the jacket was the lion.
00:33:34He was a friend of Gustavo's who spent his childhood in the United States.
00:33:41We were very rich, right?
00:33:43Pablo Emilio, Tomar Gaviria.
00:33:44How are you?
00:33:45León.
00:33:46Very nice, León.
00:33:47We're going to need two more, right?
00:33:50Yes.
00:33:51Yes.
00:33:52Pablo, just make sure that you're the one who put it like this.
00:33:55But my son, my son.
00:33:57Here's my son.
00:33:58Come on.
00:33:59Put the light.
00:34:00Come on.
00:34:01That's it.
00:34:02Let's wear it.
00:34:03How are you?
00:34:04Okay.

00:44:12Truth is, we weren't even making a dent.
00:44:20They let us have 60 so they could bring in 600.
00:44:33Pablo's Coke flooded in.
00:44:35It didn't take long for Miami to get addicted, and I mean that.
00:44:39It was like the whole city was running around trying to get...
00:44:43Yeah, that's, um...
00:44:44I almost forgot.
00:44:48Apparently, the BBC released a drama in Miami.
00:44:53I think it was called Snowfall, and it was largely about the cocaine epidemic of the 80s.
00:44:59Which, let me know if you guys want me to try and check that out as well,
00:45:03because I've heard great things about Snowfall, but...
00:45:07Just let me know when it...
00:45:09Anyway, sorry.
00:45:17Judy calls.
00:45:18And with the money came the Vianx.
00:45:27The heavies had been replaced by Colombians, and these guys didn't work flip-flops.
00:45:32Hmm.
00:45:49It was only a kid, wasn't it?
00:45:50The Miami coroner said Colombians were like Dixie Cups.
00:46:05Use them once, then throw them away.
00:46:09The Dade County Mord couldn't fit all the bodies from the drip war.
00:46:12They had to rent a refrigerated truck from a local company to hold all the extra corpses.
00:46:20That was the first person I ever shot.
00:46:23A teenager not old enough to buy a six-pack.
00:46:25No.
00:46:45Hey.
00:46:46It's self-defense.
00:46:49Kevin calls.
00:46:50He's worried about you.
00:46:51I forget to tell you the kid was 17.
00:46:55He sells drugs, right?
00:46:58Yeah.
00:46:59Yeah, fuck him.
00:47:07What happened?
00:47:13I was about to finish my shift when we got hit with the lights and sirens.
00:47:17Stay with me.
00:47:19Oh, she's one of the...
00:47:20Paramedics said she collapsed after she got off her flight.
00:47:24By the time she got to us, she was barely breathing.
00:47:29Dilated pupils, rapid pulse.
00:47:32Oh, like a...
00:47:32Burst bag.
00:47:34No residue on her nostrils.
00:47:36No injection marks.
00:47:37The bag, yeah, that must have been what it was.
00:47:40We did everything we could.
00:47:43She died in the ER.
00:47:45Holy.
00:47:47Tried to save the baby.
00:47:48The baby died in my hands.
00:48:01She was bodypacking 11 ounces of cocaine.
00:48:05Two of the pellets split open.
00:48:0712 grams in her bloodstream.
00:48:14No one survives that.
00:48:24Meanwhile, back to the man who can't be killed.
00:48:26Pablo no me recibe nunca, güey.
00:48:57Yeah, don't.
00:48:59Pablo was fucking cockroach over.
00:49:02But cockroach should have listened to Gustavo.
00:49:05Instead, he found another way to get his fair share.
00:49:08What are you going to do, cockroach?
00:49:29Tipping off the spare drivers.
00:49:30Pablo, los perdimos.
00:49:34Gustavo, que no quieres decir con los perdimos.
00:49:37Gustavo, es que los perdimos.
00:49:40Los perdimos.
00:49:43Desaparecieron.
00:49:44¿Se evaporaron o qué?
00:49:46Jodas, Pablo.
00:49:47Los perdimos.
00:50:37Pablo.
00:50:37No te vas a arriesgar por la chichiga.
00:50:45Bad news, Tata.
00:50:50¿I think Pablo's going to sort out a gringo?
00:50:54Oh, yes he is.
00:50:55Don't care.
00:51:07No, no, no.
00:51:16No, no.
00:51:18Yeah, I don't think that here
00:51:40this is not a negotiation
00:51:42or even a re-negotiation
00:51:48Toma, mierda
00:52:25It's not about what Pablo's gonna do
00:52:27It's about Gustavo's, what's cockroach are gonna do
00:52:30No, más abajo, más abajo
00:52:32No tan abajo
00:52:34You see?
00:52:42Another one.
00:52:58And tell the husbands.
00:53:04Retírese, agente.
00:53:57Traten.
00:54:04¿Quién fue?
00:54:13¿Quién fue?
00:54:14¿Quién fue?

00:54:56Colombian with the plumbing business that served as a front for his cocaine operation
00:55:01He had 1200 keys in the van
00:55:04Guess who's buying the load?
00:55:09The plan was to trade vehicles and Zapata would be arrested once he left the port
00:55:161200 kilos that would get us on the cover of the Miami Herald
00:55:22Okay, Gringos
00:55:24How's the plumbing business?
00:55:26Fine
00:55:31Look home business is really good
00:55:36Man amigo, I'll show you
00:55:40Everything was going perfect
00:55:42100% pure except that Pablo was on cockroach
00:55:49We got a full load
00:55:50We got a full load here
00:55:59Don't move! Don't move! Don't move!
00:56:01Don't move! Don't move!
00:56:02Don't move!
00:56:05Get down!
00:56:10Hands down!
00:56:12Come on
00:56:12Please.
00:56:14No.
00:56:37In the case of the state of Florida versus Juan Diego Piaz,
00:56:41after taking into account all due considerations,
00:56:45bail has been set at $2 million,
00:56:48or a bond of $200,000.
00:56:51I got to the courthouse early the day of Lekeke's trial.
00:56:55My testimony's gonna put that bastard on death row.
00:57:00The U.S. District Attorney said Lekeke met his bail of $2 million
00:57:03paid by a wire transfer from, well...
00:57:07Why don't you take a guess?
00:57:09The Kikip ordered and was back in Medellin by midnight.
00:57:15From 79 to 84,
00:57:18there were 3,245 murders in Miami.
00:57:23And outside the tourist bureau and the cops,
00:57:26no one much cared about that.
00:57:27What got the U.S. government to take notice was the money.
00:57:34Billions of dollars a year all flowing from the U.S. to Columbia.
00:57:39And that, America couldn't take.
00:57:42A group of powerful businessmen went and met with President Reagan.
00:57:49They were terrified the narco economy would sink the real economy of Miami.
00:57:54Or maybe they were pissed off that they weren't getting the cut.
00:57:57Hmm.
00:57:58Whatever it was, the businessmen came at just the right time.
00:58:02It's back to school time for America's children.
00:58:05It was time for America to suit up against a new enemy.
00:58:09Drugs are menacing our society.
00:58:12They're threatening our values and undercutting our institutions.
00:58:15They're killing our children.
00:58:16It was classic Reagan.
00:58:19Folksy, direct, tough.
00:58:22He vowed to go after drugs at the source.
00:58:25But it was Nancy who stole the show.
00:58:28So to my young friends out there,
00:58:30life can be great.
00:58:32But not when you can't see it.
00:58:34So open your eyes to life.
00:58:36To see it in the vivid colors that God gave us
00:58:40as a precious gift to his children.
00:58:42Say yes to your life.
00:58:43And when it comes to drugs and alcohol,
00:58:47just say no.
00:58:49No, no, no.
00:58:50No, Pablo, no, no.
00:58:51No, no.
00:58:57They say when a nuclear holocaust destroys the world,
00:59:01only the cockroaches will survive.
00:59:04I guess they were wrong.
00:59:09During his career, Pablo would kill over a thousand cops.
00:59:11But I wouldn't learn that until later.
00:59:17My dad volunteered to fight in World War II because of Pearl Harbor.
00:59:21But you think he knew anybody in Hawaii?
00:59:23No way.
00:59:25He was a West Virginia farm boy,
00:59:26but these fuckers stepped on our soil.
00:59:27So he laced up his army boots and went to fight.
00:59:29It was his duty.
00:59:31Cocaine in Miami?
00:59:33Kilo was from Columbia.
00:59:34This was my war.
00:59:35This was my duty.
00:59:36And I was ready to fight it.
00:59:37And my wife was ready to fight it with me, too.
00:59:38Your ticket, please.
00:59:39Okay.
00:59:40Okay.
00:59:41We had no idea what we were in for.
00:59:43One year later, all that patriotic bullshit was right out the window.
00:59:44Hey, man, what do we got?
00:59:45What do we got?
00:59:46We got poison.
00:59:47We had no idea what we were in for.
00:59:49We got a lizard.
00:59:50Okay.
00:59:52No.
00:59:52Okay.
00:59:53You okay?
00:59:54Not even though.
00:59:55We got poison.
00:59:57Why would we eat the—
00:59:59No more?
01:00:01We have no idea what we were in for.
01:00:04Why would you want those?
01:00:05You can't go.
01:00:14There?
01:00:16Not the one.
01:00:17Ah, what we got, what we got?
01:00:23Badmouth?
01:00:24That motherfucker.
01:00:26Thank you for the gift, Agent.
01:00:28No problem.
01:00:29If there's one thing I've learned in the narco world,
01:00:48it's that life is more complicated than you think.
01:00:52Good and bad, they're relative concepts.
01:00:57In the world of drug dealers, you do what you think is right
01:01:02and hope for the best.
01:01:27No.
01:01:29I'm going to pay half a million for the head of the DEA.
01:01:33Half a million?
01:01:34Do it.
01:01:35With a lot of money.
01:01:42Gringos, sons of bitches.
01:01:44Holy, right.
01:01:55Okay there, ladies and gentlemen.
01:02:01You shouldn't have done it, cockroach.
01:02:03You shouldn't have done it, cockroach.
01:02:04You shouldn't have done it.
01:02:06All the telltale signs were there.
01:02:08You were warned.
01:02:11But no.
01:02:13For some reason, your fucking pride left you dead in the middle of a patch of waste ground somewhere out in Columbia.
01:02:24Well done, cockroach.
01:02:29You knew this was perfectly fit.
01:02:32You could have saved yourself and you decided not to do it.
01:02:35Mind you, I can't say that cockroach didn't get what he deserved either.
01:02:40You know, the piece of shit that he was.
01:02:42But then again, I wonder for the amount of people who probably grew up in the 80s and, well, who saw this kind of shit firsthand.
01:02:56Any such story would probably be the real highlight of this.
01:03:00But I will say, just for the record, let me know if you want me to continue doing this show because I think it's probably one we're going to have to return to at some point.
01:03:11And to be honest, what a great start to the show.
01:03:17I mean, I think it gets straight to it.
01:03:20And, well, all you've got to find out is whether or not this de-agent Steven is, well, will he keep his head by the end of this?
01:03:31But with that being said, I'll see all of you guys again next time.
01:03:35Ah, well, hello again.
01:03:40And just before each and every one of you leave, if I could just hold your attention for a few more seconds.
01:03:44And I want to show you very quickly my Patreon store.
01:03:47I've been running this for five years now, and ever since this month began, I've decided to reopen, relaunch, completely sort out my categories for videos, and I've uploaded them sometimes as far as three months in advance.
01:04:01So you guys will be able to get an exclusive look exactly what's coming out when it's coming out at your convenience.
01:04:07So make sure to stop by, take a look around, and let's see what you think.
01:04:11Thank you very much for supporting me once again, and I'll see you again next time.
