00:00Ladies and gentlemen, we're shortly beginning our descent into St. Marie, so if I could ask you to fasten your seatbelts. Thank you.
00:30We have a situation. Kevin, I can't help you if you don't talk to me. I just want this to be over. But I need to do it in my own time, alright? I can't be rushed, I won't be rushed. Alright, no one is rushing you.
01:00Kevin, where are you going? Kevin, please calm down, sweetheart. I'm worried about you. What are you going up there for?
01:11Anthony, are you here?
01:41I wasn't expecting to be picked up. Your secretary, Rosalie, thought it would be a good idea. I'm Leo. It's a pleasure to meet you, Commissioner.
02:11I've been spending some time in London with my daughter. But I very much have been looking forward to coming home again. And what about you? You're working at Government House?
02:29Interning. It's been four months now and I'm totally loving it. The job, the island.
02:36I didn't know we had interns.
02:38There's a new business and tourism department. George McCann heads it up. I'm not sure if you know of him.
02:51Rosalie.
02:52Commissioner, I am so sorry to bother you, but I think you need to come straight to Government House.
03:08Is he still up there?
03:12Yes.
03:18What are all these new people doing here?
03:20They're Government Advisors. Been bought in, you know, to oversee business.
03:23Business and tourism, I know.
03:26But why here?
03:28Kevin!
03:29Please!
03:30Look, come back and talk!
03:32Deborah?
03:33Thank goodness you're here. George is on his way over.
03:36This is Commissioner Patterson.
03:37I need you to phone the fire brigade and an ambulance just in case and alert my team.
03:43Right.
03:48Kevin!
03:49My name is Commissioner Patterson. Perhaps we could talk.
03:54He shut down a few minutes ago. Just stop talking.
03:57If you could, step aside.
04:08Kevin!
04:09Kevin!
04:25Kevin!
04:26Oh, no!
04:27Oh, no!
04:34No.
05:09Commissioner Paterson, George McCann, Kevin worked for me. Do we know yet why he might have...
05:15If you could just go inside and wait for the others, Mr McCann.
05:18Of course.
05:20Ah, emergency services are on their way.
05:24Paramedics are coming, and I spoke to Sergeant Fletcher at the police station.
05:28She's notifying our team.
05:30Sergeant Fletcher?
05:32Who is she?
05:39Say, is there a Sebastian Rose here?
05:51Anyone?
05:56All right.
05:58Well, I appreciate your attention.
06:09I said I am looking for a Sebastian Rose.
06:13Has anyone seen him?
06:14Yes, sir.
06:16That's me.
06:16Sebastian Rose.
06:25Except for short.
06:27Well, morning, Officer Rose.
06:29Matty Fletcher, I'm your new sergeant.
06:31It's good to meet you.
06:32Nice to meet you.
06:35So you have a fun night, then?
06:37Yeah, man.
06:38Partied hard.
06:39It was late, you know?
06:40I am sorry to poop your party, but we've got a call out.
06:43Yeah?
06:44I mean, you went duty cars, right?
06:47But, wait.
06:48How did you know I was here, and how did you get your uniform?
06:51I got your home address off your file.
06:53I headed over to your house.
06:54You were up, but your mom was in.
06:55So we had a quick chat while she gave your uniform an eye on.
06:58She seems really cool.
06:59Anyway, she had told me that you'd been out at a beach party all night,
07:03which means you're either going to be at Turtle Bay,
07:06or down here at Paradise Court.
07:08And if you know anything about anything about a beach party,
07:11which I kind of just assumed you did,
07:14then you're going to be at Paradise Court.
07:17So that's what I did, and here I am.
07:20That answer your question?
07:21I guess so.
07:22Okay.
07:23Good morning.
07:40Good morning, Sarge.
07:41Good morning.
07:42Matty, officially, welcome to the team.
07:45Sorry you landed the Sunday shift on your first day.
07:47But, I made saffron buns.
07:51Thank you so much, Sarge.
07:54Mm, amazing.
07:58So let's go inspects a lot.
08:00He's English, right?
08:01This, Harry, me old mate, is what we call the business.
08:18Good morning, sir.
08:19Good morning, Inspector.
08:20We've got a case, I'll take it.
08:27He doesn't really do greetings.
08:29Mm.
08:30Sarge and Matty Fletcher, it's great to meet you, Inspector.
08:33I was really enjoying my Sunday morning.
08:36Full English, last night's match of the day.
08:39It's his favourite TV show.
08:44He's totally obsessed with things.
08:46Mm.
08:50Officer Rose, you're on snaps.
08:52Al Cardinal.
08:53What's the story here, then?
08:55Victims, Kevin Felton.
08:56Worked as a tech consultant for the business and tourism team here at Government House.
09:01Seems he took his own life.
09:02We'll need post-mortem to confirm, but paramedics say injuries are consistent with the fall.
09:11Yeah.
09:12Well, just found this in his trouser pocket.
09:15I wonder what that's for.
09:16Must be the key to the roof door.
09:19He locked himself up there, so...
09:29Commissioner.
09:31Welcome back.
09:32It's good to see you both.
09:34And you, sir.
09:35We really missed you.
09:37Didn't we, Inspector?
09:38Is that the victim's bag?
09:40Yes, this is the victim's bag.
09:43There's not much in it.
09:45A mobile phone,
09:47a wallet,
09:49and an empty sweet packet,
09:51another empty sweet packet,
09:53and a banana.
09:56Uneaten.
09:59Locked.
10:00One second.
10:01Sir, where are you?
10:03He hasn't changed them, I see.
10:06Not a bit.
10:13Appreciate it.
10:18Interesting.
10:18Notification from his bank,
10:21$3.26 this morning.
10:22$1,200 paid to Kariba Airlines.
10:27What time did he jump?
10:284.47.
10:30In here, in his emails.
10:32Ticket for a flight to the UK due to depart this afternoon at 5 p.m.
10:36So, if Kevin Felton came to this building for the sole purpose of throwing himself off it,
10:44then why, just over an hour beforehand, was he forking out for a ticket back home later this same day?
10:49You're suggesting you're suggesting the victim didn't take his own night?
10:55I am indeed.
10:58Which means, someone else did.
11:01I was at home asleep when Kevin phoned, was just gone half past three in the morning.
11:10He sounded drunk, upset, said he was coming here, and that he had enough and he couldn't do this anymore.
11:17Couldn't do what anymore?
11:18He'd had a tough time lately.
11:20His girlfriend split up with him and flew back to the UK.
11:24He was stuck on the island, living alone.
11:26And what would you say his demeanour was when you got here?
11:30I mean, he was always a bit on edge, right?
11:34He was an anxious kid, bless him.
11:36A bit socially awkward, you know?
11:38But this felt more intense.
11:41Kept saying he wanted things to be over, but needed it to be done in his own time.
11:46Well, that's when he went up on the roof, and I was going to follow him up, but Deborah arrived.
11:51Rosalie phoned me, worried, so I jumped in my car
11:56and I got here as quick as I could, but next thing, Kevin locked the roof door.
12:00And that's when Deborah said I should phone you, Commissioner.
12:04This roof door key was in Kevin's pocket.
12:09You didn't have a spare you could have used to open the door.
12:12Well, there's never been another copy.
12:14People go up there to take their breaks, so we just leave it unlocked.
12:19And where were you all when you fell?
12:21I followed Commissioner Patterson up to the roof.
12:24That Rosalie and I were at the bottom of the stairs.
12:28Mr. McCann.
12:29I was just pulling up in my car.
12:33Why are you asking where we all were when it happened?
12:36Why does that matter?
12:38Because we are treating Kevin Felton's death as suspicious.
12:42I'm sorry, you think?
12:45We think there is a possibility that Kevin Felton was pushed to his death.
12:53You're having a laugh, right?
12:55No, I'm not.
12:57But how, Commissioner?
12:59Because when you broke the door down, there was no one else there, so...
13:01How could someone push Kevin when he was on his own?
13:04We're working on that.
13:10We're working on that.
13:10I told George that he needed to move officers.
13:39No, you were back.
13:40But he dragged his feet.
13:42But why are they even working in government house?
13:44It was Mr. McCann who moved them all here.
13:47I heard him say that he wanted to get away from the interfering busybodies at the main offices.
13:53Did he know?
13:54I'm also going to need your keys to the building as we're locking it down until further notice.
14:05We've done door-to-door, but everywhere was closed when it happened, so no witnesses.
14:11Quarter to five Sunday morning. Hardly surprising.
14:14Sergeant Fletcher, I presume?
14:17Commissioner Patterson.
14:18We met briefly when I completed my training, but I've been working back in Jamaica the last few years.
14:23Where is Officer Curtis?
14:25She's over on Montserrat, looking after her auntie.
14:28Don't think she'll be back for the foreseeable.
14:30Why didn't the Chief Commissioner contact me about this?
14:33I should be across all recruitment.
14:35Okay, this is awkward.
14:36Uh, Commissioner, I am so sorry if I was a surprise for you.
14:47Inspector?
14:48Everything all right?
14:50Uh, yeah, it's fine.
14:53You sure?
14:53It's a text from my brother.
14:57We're meeting this evening.
15:00For the first time.
15:02He got in touch with you, after all.
15:05Yeah, he did.
15:07We're meeting this evening.

18:50what about your bird right i reckon you best hang on to it for now
19:05good morning commissioner
19:30you all good
19:31i have some interesting information on george mccann oh yeah
19:39inspector what is that
19:44it's my uh bacon and friday body i didn't get my sunday full english yesterday so treating myself
19:53what it smells of egg because they put an egg in it
19:59i don't want my car smelling of egg inspector
20:03i had dinner at the yacht club last night and put some feelers out about our suspect
20:18four months ago mr mccann was brought on board a saint marie's business and tourism there
20:25it's nazi title
20:27so why here
20:29apparently he got bored with his businesses back in the uk
20:32and fancied branching out abroad what word is he accepts backhanders for companies who are keen to get
20:40their building developments any actual evidence of this no but i trust my sources
20:47if george mccann is as corrupt as people say then then it could be something to do with kevin felton's death
20:55yeah yeah well we'll definitely look into that commissioner right then
20:59i'm gonna get myself back to the station we can go together i want to stay across this case
21:05that mother happened under my own nose oh right then okay sure great
21:15inspector please don't bring that eggy smell back into my car what am i supposed to do with it
21:22put it in your hand put it out the window all right okay all right i'm holding it out the window
21:28that's very good
21:33post-mortem confirms kevin felton's injuries were sustained by a fall i spoke to his girlfriend back
21:40in the uk she video called him a couple of days ago said he seemed pretty glum well he would do she
21:46dumped him actually she reckoned it was to do with something else of course she did
21:52he always liked this yes apparently kevin desperately wanted to return home to england
22:00but george mccann wouldn't release him from his contract couldn't negotiate something she said kevin
22:05tried but mr mccann could be quite intimidating said he didn't like this loyalty like he was kind of
22:13punishing kevin have you searched the victim's apartment yet officer rose and i going to do that
22:17straight after this uh what have you got there is that from the crime scene oh yeah so i found it
22:23on the victim just tucked under the front of his hoodie i think it's just a piece of rubbish
22:31sagittarius what star song was kevin felton uh 23rd of april so taurus so if he was a taurus why does he
22:42have a sagittarian horoscope on him uh like i said son maybe it's just a piece of rubbish yeah you
22:49said but what was it doing on him in the first place i mean did it just happen to be fluttering
22:54by while he was falling to his death i don't think so anything else i'm about to head over and speak
22:59with my secretary rosalie she spent the last few months working alongside our suspects good idea
23:05sir is that it one more thing actually leo quinn george mccann's intern he's on his way into the
23:14station why because sergeant fletcher and officer rose discovered that he had a big argument with our
23:21victim just a few hours before he was murdered you wanted to talk with me
23:25so we checked kevin felton's finances and we know he drank at shades bar late saturday night
23:35that's kevin our officers also spoke to the barman and he says he saw kevin having a very heated
23:42conversation with a man matching your description and if i'm not mistaken i believe that's you there
23:49i wouldn't say it got that heated between us um i mean i can see how that appears but
24:00i can promise you it really was all chill between us oh um that's you being chill
24:11okay look leo i'm gonna tell you something and i want you to listen carefully before you respond
24:15because right now you're in danger of looking like a bit of an idiot now the lip reader hasn't had a
24:21chance to examine this properly yet but when they do they'll know exactly what was being said there
24:26we were arguing about something kevin knew i had found out about my dad who's your dad george mccann
24:37he didn't want people knowing about it he didn't want people thinking he took me on just because i'm his
24:42son all right and what had kevin found out about your dad was it something about him being corrupt
24:51taking payments what kevin was threatening to reveal this is that what he was referring to
24:58when he told rosalie he wants it over kevin said dad had it coming
25:04and that's why i lost it like i did and then you followed him to government house because you're
25:09worried about what he's going to say to the police i mean that's a pretty strong motive right oh
25:16no look i was angry and i was worried i'll admit that but
25:22not so much that i'd go and kill him and i was nowhere near that roof so i couldn't have done it
25:27why kevin first can sure like his pizza i reckon he was lonely you know had no friends here just
25:38stayed in all day playing games eating pizza i mean i think about it i could get used to that you know
25:48so sarge i have to know what was it like being an office here in jamaica huh must have been full
26:00on right like some real bad man huh big island like that well kingston town definitely has a life about
26:09it you know there's always something going down you got to keep your eye out for what made you come back
26:18oh i i don't know i it just felt like the right time i guess
26:31there's nothing in the bin he must have recently empty that can you go check the garbage outside
26:35gotcha that's some super smart jamaican kind of thinking going on huh
26:49well thanks for talking with me
26:54that was leah quinn's mother angela back in the uk thought i'd see if she could tell us anything
26:59about leo and his father and her and george have been estranged a long time he wasn't really a big
27:07part of leo's life growing up so why did george end up giving him a job out here it wasn't george's
27:12choice sounds like leo always wanted to follow in his father's footsteps maybe idolized him a bit
27:20what have you got suspect's phone records in a fair bit of activity the night of the murder first
27:26leo calls george at 309 presumably to let him know that kevin was threatening to expose his corruption
27:31then george gets straight onto the blower to deborah we have a situation and again 40 minutes
27:37later i mean there's definitely something dodgy going on between them but which one pushed kevin
27:42off the roof and how they managed to do it when none of them were anywhere near him and got a scooby
27:48hang on looks like the search of kevin felton's apartment has proved fruitful
27:52here we have bag number one and you're probably thinking why i'm gonna call it bag number one
28:00that's because inside of it is bag number two we checked is the same confidential waste acts as
28:08the one that they use in the government house you're probably wondering what's inside bag number two
28:22you know you're gonna have to clean all this up officer rose yeah i know but it was worth it okay
28:29so why did our victim take this confidential shredded waste to his house and then bin it my thinking is
28:36that kevin felton was looking for something a document that had been shredded but the fact that
28:41he then put all of this back into the rubbish bin could suggest that maybe he found what he was looking
28:47for it it's possible so then where is it if kevin felton did piece together some sort of documents
28:56what he do with it unless he had it on him when he went to government house yesterday but it wasn't
29:01about his person and all the suspects were searched before they left government house so no one took it
29:06with them then it could still be there right first thing in the morning we need to search that building
29:17let it go with the police i think they're onto you
29:34catherine meets mattie fletcher she's our new sergeant she just transferred from jamaica
29:40lovely to meet you mattie but i feel we've met before i actually grew up here in saint marie and i
29:50might have come here a couple of times when i was a teenager and you you might have kicked me out a
29:56couple of times for not being ordinary i remember you and your friends would drive me crazy i am so
30:05sorry i promise i'm so much better behave now excuse me one moment
30:19hello stranger welcome home
30:23it's so good to see you i'm so happy you're back on saint marie where you belong
30:33it's not been the same without you i've missed it here and your job too
30:40i don't regret having had some time away spending it with andrina but i realized there's more i have
30:47to give to this island but maybe not the return that you quite envisaged no
30:56i've had dealings with george mccann as mayor
31:01he's what the english would call a bad egg
31:05i don't know all he's been up to yet but i know enough and the fact that he's been conducting his
31:12nefarious business in one of this island's most respected buildings it's not right
31:20i want this case solved and i want him and his team out that building this island deserve better
31:28solomon welcome come in man a little something for us to band over the old kill devil
31:44shouldn't there have been a label on this do you think it's vintage you never get a label with
31:48the proper oil stuff oh if you say so here you go well this is a sweet little place you've got i know right
32:05came with the job and how did you end up being a detective was it always what you wanted to do
32:10well kind of i really liked um solving things when i was a kid moving around foster families and care
32:22homes there'd always be some fight breaking out or things going missing or kids running away but i'd
32:29always be the one to sort things out and put things right you know yeah you've done well man you should
32:36be proud thank you i am oh wow so uh what about you mate um what's your line of work oh you know this
32:55and that with the buying and selling but i've not really found my thing yet not like you have
33:02well finding your thing can take time can't it listen man i'm sorry things were so hectic last night
33:11but i'm glad we're doing this straight up me too sol man me too call me sol yeah so
33:31morning naomi morning sir how are you doing uh good yeah really good actually things went better with
33:48your brother last night yeah definitely i mean it was really good to have some proper time together you
33:55know and we uh we just talked a lot mostly about dawna i mean our mum yeah it was just really nice to
34:08hear what she was like as a as a mother you know i'm pleased for you sir
34:16so uh we've got the transcripts through from the lip reader oh right yeah and
34:22it's pretty much as leo said apart from one thing mention at one point of a title
34:28deed for a property that was being developed but kevin turns his back as soon as he says it so
34:32that's all i got i just wondered if that's the document kevin was looking for in the confidential waste
34:39i've asked matian said to keep an eye out when searching government house good work
34:44oh morning commissioner rosalie and i have something of use to the investigation
34:54there's a homeless guy who often sleeps in the town square outside government house
35:00his name is lloyd and i saw him there when i arrived the night it all happened so he's a possible witness we
35:07went to visit him he clearly come into some money recently he was wearing new clothes he said two
35:14nights ago he'd been given five hundred dollars to go and sleep somewhere else by a woman matching deborah
35:21shellman's description she paid him off so he wasn't there to witness whatever was about to happen that's
35:29what deborah does she makes problems disappear so as kevin was proving to be a threat to george
35:38does she make that problem disappear as well
35:40this is ridiculous i admit i gave the man a few quid a few quid you gave him five hundred dollars miss
35:50shellman but only because i felt bad for him i never said he had to move somewhere else what he says you
35:55did all i said was i hope he can find somewhere more comfortable to sleep with the money i gave him
36:01he must have misunderstood and your role is well remunerated right oh we checked the company's
36:08finances you seem to get a lot of bonuses it matters to him people are loyal and he rewards them for
36:15it okay so what is your official job title miss shellman i'm george's operations manager operations
36:24manager and what does that entail exactly anything and everything but not because i think this is where
36:29you're heading pushing a man off a roof you're right that george pays me well but it's not enough for
36:35me to kill for him if there's nothing else
36:46let's see what the search is showing up
36:49george it's me the police are getting warmer much warmer
37:04there's not in here that we could find us like a title deed or any other documents that have been
37:08shredded but the only thing of interest was this these are the ground plans for a boutique hotel
37:15development development they have a swimming pool spa restaurant nice very bougie i'll get it
37:26it's just there are no details on it no architect mentioned no address name of developer and all the
37:34other projects here have those details except for this it just makes me think that there's something
37:41in there trying to hide
37:53so who was at the door earlier just some guy wanted me to move the bike was blocking him in
37:58something wrong sarge maybe
38:19so sarge what are we looking for
38:21something doesn't make sense maybe that guy was distracting you so someone could slip inside and
38:27hide while you moved the bike i knew something wasn't right you know why all right i'll check over here
38:35i knew it
38:47from sergeant fletcher george mccan just broke into government house
38:51seen exit through the rare fire escape he's in a great convertible license number
38:55so
39:11morning mate you can stand down over
39:17sergeant fletcher george mccan
39:35what the hell is she doing
39:36mr mccan i need you to step out of the vehicle please
39:51sergeant fletcher you all right sergeant fletcher yeah no yeah i'm okay i'm i'm fine
40:00that really wasn't cool i was just trying not now inspector we'll do this later
40:12i think this is what kevin felton had found it's a title date but look where it's for
40:19government house no architect mentioned no address name of developer you're going to tear it down
40:26or as good as turn it into a hotel
40:34commissioner there's a development you need to know about as i'm sure you're aware mr mccan
40:41i have a detective and two uniformed officers at your solicitor's office with a search warrant
40:48they have already uncovered further evidence confirming our suspicions all right well
40:55hit me with what you've got and i'll tell you if you're close you and your team were of the belief
41:01that the land government house sits on wasn't actually owned by the government the only title
41:08deed in existence showed it belonged to a farmer who passed away in the early 1900s
41:15with questionable maneuverings you attempted to make a land grab there's nothing questionable about it
41:24is all within the boundaries of the law but let's not split hairs as you were a lost title deed that
41:30superseded the one you had it showed the land was legally acquired by the saint marie government in 1929
41:40which is why you proceeded to destroy it unfortunately for you kevin felton had suspicions he retrieved the document pieced it together and worked out what you were up to
41:53what you were up to that is why you murdered him before he could reveal the truth you're 99 percent
42:02right i admit i had big plans for that old relic of a building would have been a gold mine
42:10and yeah maybe i played a bit fast and loose with the planning laws here so go ahead and charge me with
42:16whatever i'll let my solicitor work his magic because and you should know this he's good at that very
42:22good now let's get on to the one percent you're wrong about kevin felton's death as you know commissioner
42:31paterson me debz leo none of us were on that rooftop when it happened so how in any way could it be murder
42:39he's right all our suspects have the perfect alibi me we're farther away from solving this murder as
42:52we were at the start of the case
42:57what there's a man with a flamingo struck to the back of his car uh yeah that's um my brother my half brother
43:09um i'll give you a little knife
43:15brother my man how's things it was a fine old night we had last night yeah yeah it really was
43:23we should do it again sometime soon let's keep the dialogue going yeah no question so so what are you
43:29doing here uh i uh i wanted to talk to you about something a kind of fever yeah okay i was wondering
43:36you couldn't loan me a little money just temporary like um yeah sure what is it 50 100 two thousand
43:50two thousand dollars
43:54so that's not a little that's hey the thing is there's a couple of business opportunities right
44:00for investment coming my way and have it back to you in no time
44:04i don't think i've got that kind of money to lend i know we're brothers but hey
44:11no worries man it's cool always worth to ask right
44:20is that what all this is about me and you you just needed some money what no car's not i want to do
44:28this for real i just thought i'm sorry
44:37i uh better shoot yeah
44:45nearly forgot is it all right if i nip by your place and pick up that flamingo you've been looking after
44:51isn't that it no man that's the other one they're a matching pair that's why i have to bring this one
44:59here i'm reaniting them oh yeah i see um yeah help yourself
45:04how's it going
45:14honestly
45:20i don't know i mean right now it feels like we're both coming at this
45:25brother thing from completely different directions but that doesn't mean it isn't worth sticking at him
45:34the flamingo flamingo the flamingo well that's it isn't it that's how that's how the victim could
45:47have been pushed off the rooftop without anyone being there how could someone push kevin off the
45:52roof when he was on his own rosalie phoned me worried so i jumped in my car and i got here as
45:57quick as i could but kevin not the roof door is she still up there yes like i said sir it's probably
46:07just a piece of rubbish and that explains the horoscope the horoscope horoscope and the flamingo
46:13the horoscope and the flamingo that explains everything well almost i need to check a couple
46:18of things first the gps tracker on the car that picked you up and i need to take a look outside government
46:23house
46:33so what's he looking for
46:39i have no idea
46:41but whatever it is i think he found it
46:57this case i'll be honest it's been tough our victim falls to his death from a roof
47:05our three suspects all have solid alibis because you could all be accounted for at the time it
47:12happened the only explanation that makes sense is that kevin felton jumped of his own accord that's
47:18what we've been saying from the start it was suicide except it wasn't it was murder and we now know
47:26that it was you leo quinn who did it i was with everyone else when it happened like you said well
47:32yeah except that's not when it happened or indeed where it happened because at the point where kevin
47:41felton was heard falling onto that car it was already dead and to make it look like that's when and
47:48indeed how it happened you and your father and miss shellman constructed a very clever plan that nearly
47:58had us all fooled you see it was something i saw just this afternoon someone was transporting something
48:05on the back of their car and it got me to thinking how you could have made it look like kevin fell on
48:10that car when he didn't then i remembered this it's a horoscope it's all from a newspaper found tucked
48:18inside kevin's hoodie and that's when i started to wonder if kevin didn't fall where we thought he did
48:24it mr quinn we knew the night of his mother kevin told you he was going to reveal the truth about
48:36mr mccann making an illegal land grab on that building
48:44and so you phoned your father and you both headed off the government house where kevin
48:52fooled was only no i didn't i didn't follow kevin oh but you did leo you see i checked the gps tracking
48:59on your car and it shows that you arrived at government house at 3 44 a.m and parked around the
49:07back for 26 minutes it was a big deal for kevin what he was going to do that night we know he felt
49:14intimidated by you mr mccann so calling the police revealing your corruption i think that weighed heavy
49:23on him but i need to do it in my own time all right it's maybe why he went to the bar first and had a
49:29couple of drinks that evening to steal his nerves because he discovered a crime was being committed by
49:36you his boss and he wanted the truth to come out and doing so would also mean he could finally leave
49:45his lonely life here and fly back home to england feeling anxious he went up onto the roof to get
49:52some air and when rosalie went downstairs to see michelle man mr quinn you also headed up to the roof
50:01we'll never know what happened up there that night we assume you you can't do this to us pleaded with
50:08him but he refused he will destroy us to listen to you everything my father's built up his reputation
50:15who go to prison for fraud and in the heat of the moment you ran at kevin with some force and you
50:22pushed him
50:23miss mccann i believe you arrived at government house around the same time that happened we understand
50:36you never had much involvement in your son's life so why not just let the police deal with his actions
50:43why risk getting involved yourself well we think after seeing what leo had done
50:50realizing the loyalty he'd shown in trying to protect you you decided to help him phone records
50:57show that you made your second call to me shellman that night at 4 4 in the morning to a bring her in
51:05on your plan and b to tell her to keep rosalie distracted downstairs while leo exited the roof so as
51:14instructed leo recovered the title date from kevin's back and came off the roof locking the door with the
51:20only key and taking it with him you then told leo to go and collect the commissioner from the airport
51:26as it was supposed to at 4 30 a.m while you remained in the alley with kevin's body
51:31it was four in the morning so unlikely anyone would appear but in case someone did you knew you could
51:36deal with it i mean we know you're no stranger to chucking money at a problem to make it go away
51:42and deborah you tasked rosalie with getting hold of the commissioner once he landed while you went
51:49and dealt with kevin pretending he was still alive behind the door kevin kevin when i arrived at
51:58government house with mr queen rosalie took me upstairs believing kevin was on the roof
52:05we had no reason to think you didn't follow us inside but you didn't you turned got in your car
52:13and drove round to the alley at the back of the building as the gps also proves once there you knew
52:21you had to make some kind of dent in the roof to make it look as though kevin had fallen in it
52:26i imagine you would just jump up and down on it and you and your father george mccann moved kevin's
52:36body onto the car roof remembering to put the roof doggy in his pocket unfortunately for you
52:45there were bins out back overflowing and this unassuming piece of rubbish must have been lying on the
52:53ground and as you move kevin's body got stuck under his hoodie you see it was always bugging me why
53:00this was inside kevin's clothing but if he fell at the rear of the building and not at the front
53:08then this little horoscope starts to make sense he got sold out from a piece of paper
53:15mr quinn you then roll around to the front of the building and park the vehicle exactly where you had
53:22previously before heading inside mr mccann you also drove around to the front of the building
53:29and proceeded to create a loud bang
53:37hearing that noise from outside was leo's cue to set off his car along while you got back into your car
53:45giving the impression he just arrived it was certainly a convincing show you put on
53:50and you very nearly got away with it you tried to take from this island somewhere that stands for
53:58all that is good and right but much like myself that building isn't going anywhere
54:08george mccann stand up stand up
54:11i'm arresting you for perverting the course of justice fraud and theft and for assisting in the
54:24cover up of a murder
54:32never sheldman you are also
54:56You want her to see me, Commissioner?
54:59Come.
55:08You've done some good work, Sergeant Fletcher, during this case.
55:13And you seem to have settled in well with your colleagues.
55:17But after hearing what happened this afternoon, your reckless behavior, I am concerned.
55:26I am sorry, sir.
55:28I just wanted to get us a result and...
55:32I knew it was a stupid thing to do.
55:35How do I know it won't happen again?
55:41Because I won't let it.
55:44I just lost myself for a moment.
55:49It isn't the first time, though, is it, that you have lost yourself?
55:57Your employment file from Jamaica, and I've spoken to the Chief Commissioner.
56:02Now, so, I know what happened there before you left.
56:12That's all in the past now, sir.
56:15It's behind me.
56:17I promise you there will be no more mistakes.
56:20I'm sorry about your brother, sir, that he made things awkward for you.
56:43Maybe the Commissioner was right.
56:46The road was always going to be bumpy, so perhaps it's worth sticking with.
56:52I mean, his family, right?
56:57So, whatever curveballs are thrown...
56:59I want it to work.
57:03Anyway, serious talk over.
57:06It is officially beer o'clock.
57:07Come on.
57:07Sir, where are all your clothes?
57:16And...
57:16And the record player, and all the records.
57:22Sir, you all had a break-in.
57:25No.
57:27He's cleared the place out.
57:29He's cleared the place out.
57:48He's cleared the place out.
57:55To be continued...
