01:36I can't tell if it's the wrist or
01:38if it's a finger on the left hand
01:40I'm not too sure what occurred what
01:42occurred well we definitely don't
01:46need more time now he's Steve I'll
01:50tell you that
01:52but he's not going to the back so
01:54that's all that matters so he's good
01:56he's a bad thing now he's logged in
01:5813 minutes obviously frustrated at
02:02the lack of confidence but he's
02:04going to the back so that's all
02:06that matters so he's good he's a
02:08bad thing now he's logged in 13
02:12minutes obviously frustrated at the
02:28lack of call the previous play
02:30we're having a season like Denny
02:32and you've been hurting everything
02:34you just want to get your rhythm
02:35back you want to get your game
02:36back you just want to get back on
02:37fire it has nothing to do anything
02:39else to start feeling hey I know
02:40what I want to play that let's go
02:42and it's not being so much the game
02:44but the rhythm of the game it's
02:45kind of been interrupted for him he
02:47heads back to the locker room as
02:48you can see as we are nearing the
02:50halfway mark we're only down eight I
02:53love this we are only down eight
02:55working the way back from 24 Williams
02:57off to Grant who's been very good
02:59here tonight Jeremy Grant swings
03:02over to Kamara raising for three
03:04nope rebound to Hart
03:08Tamani 0-4 from three-point range he
03:10came in shooting the three
03:11extraordinarily well he's 4-6 against
03:13Washington 56-48 count when he's
03:17shooting very very well for the
03:18season I believe in the second half
03:20he's going to step up he's tough
03:24and he's going to step up he's
03:25going to step up Brunson playing
03:26those tricks outside knocks down a
03:28three the Knicks are riding
03:30Brunson he's got nineteen tonight
03:32four of seven from three-point
03:33range when they go in a half I
03:35would like to see them adjust a
03:36little bit and not pick Brunson
03:38up so much I think all that time
03:40and he's trying to look for a
03:41switch trying to force a switch
03:42and everything else like that
03:43you're not going to speed them
03:44up and when it's coming down to
03:45him trying to use the screen
03:46manipulate the strip the
03:47screen he's one of the best in
03:48the game and using his body
03:49get into his spots and I think
03:51you need to just meet him at the
03:52three-point line use your lane
03:53and make him and be the second
03:54jumper three and two tenths for
03:58the Blazers to bring it in
03:59bounds and look like an Adobe
04:01flat and Grant and that's the
04:02way Kevin Scott saw it so an
04:06opportunity here for the
04:08Blazers to score on the inbounds
04:10with three and two tenths seconds
04:12remaining on free throws coming
04:13from Grant this is bonus not two
04:17on the ball right the ball the
04:19foul happened after the ball is
04:20passed now just the two shots
04:22here yeah.
04:40Jeremy Grant on the year shooting
04:47eighty four percent J.G. in this
04:51game with eleven in fifteen
04:52minutes of work Mike Brown
04:59shuttles in his shooters
05:01anticipating a possession here
05:03with three and two tenths Blazers
05:06have got to be aware.
05:10That's off Grant missing the shot
05:17Hart coming away with it and he'll
05:20fire for midcourt and that will
05:23end the half of the Blazers
05:25battling back from twenty four
05:27back to get within ten.
05:28Shane Sharp leading the way with
05:30seventeen Rob Williams a third
05:32with seven rebounds coming off the
05:33bench.
05:34Knicks with a lead of ten led by
05:36Jalen Brunson with nineteen.
05:39One half of basketball in the books
05:42and I'm still close man only down
05:44ten.
05:45We need to come out first three
05:46minutes.
05:48Make something happen.
05:49Neil Everett is along with
05:51Michael Houghton they'll break it
05:52all down for you.
05:57Snowy cold New York City the
06:00Knicks on top of the Blazers fifty nine
06:03to forty nine.
06:05Take a look at the Valvoline quick
06:06change halftime stats.
06:09Blazers at forty one percent in the
06:10field.
06:11The Knicks shooting forty five
06:12percent nine of eighteen New York
06:13from three.
06:14The Blazers nine and twenty two
06:15fifteen assists for the Blazers
06:17paid points twenty two sixteen
06:18twenty two sixteen advantage.
06:19Knicks twenty four eleven bench
06:20advantage for the Blazers.
06:25Shaden Sharp leading the way with
06:27seventeen points four of six
06:28shooting from three and Jeremy
06:31Grant with eleven points.
06:33Shaden Sharp just has a natural
06:34gift.
06:35It's an easy knack for just
06:36scoring man.
06:37If it's that easy he can say it
06:38then Shaden.
06:39He can shoot it.
06:41He gets to the rim.
06:42And any time he gets his feet set.
06:45You can count three.
06:46And he does this so effortlessly
06:48too man.
06:49He plays at a certain pace and calm.
06:51I can't wait to see how he
06:52develops.
06:53Dave's hot chicken.
06:54He checked.
06:55Is extra hot.
06:57And he's being very nice.
06:59He should be dunking on y'all.
07:00He's done.
07:01He's trying to figure out his
07:02after batting.
07:03I think he might have went yoga
07:04a little bit man.
07:08He's back.
07:09Denny Odvia returns to the floor
07:11for the Blazers as does Donovan
07:14Klingit.
07:18Sharp will bring it across midcourt.
07:20Holliday will take it.
07:21Denny Odvia working outside.
07:24Tape on the left wrist as always.
07:26He'll pump up to three.
07:27That's off.
07:28The rebound grabbed by Carl
07:29Anthony Towns.
07:30Hart in the frontcourt.
07:33Brunson up three.
07:36Guides it up.
07:37Missed it.
07:38Odvia the rebound.
07:39You can see in Denny's eyes.
07:42He's serious.
07:43You can look at his eyes.
07:44He's locked in.
07:45He's ready to go.
07:46On the wing.
07:47Looks left.
07:48Now moves right.
07:49Draws two defenders.
07:50Out on top to Sharp for three.
07:52Towns the rebound.
07:54Knicks lead by as many as twenty-four
08:09back in the first half.
08:10Here is Holliday.
08:11The three just did catch iron.
08:13It goes out of bounds.
08:17And it'll be from the corner.
08:18Three up and in.
08:19Oh gee.
08:20And it'll be from the corner.
08:21Three up and in.
08:22Oh gee.
08:23And it'll be.
08:24Shoots better than forty percent
08:25from three out of the corner.
08:26Sixty four forty nine count.
08:27On the edge of the lane.
08:28And it'll be from the corner.
08:29Three up and in.
08:30Oh gee.
08:31And it'll be.
08:32From the corner.
08:33Three up and in.
08:34Oh gee.
08:35And it'll be.
08:36Shoots better than forty percent
08:38from three out of the corner.
08:39Sixty four forty nine count.
08:40On the edge of the lane.
08:41The pass gets away from Klingon.
08:42But there is sharp on the baseline.
08:43He swoops under it.
08:44One on one of Bridges.
08:45Into the air.
08:46Contact made.
08:47Shaden absorbs the contact.
08:48And sends in a floater.
08:49I think if it's not broke wide.
08:50Fix it.
08:51Well.
08:52I think if it's not broke wide.
08:53Fix it.
08:54Well.
08:55I think if it's not broke wide.
08:56Fix it.
08:57We got to keep finding number 17.
08:58So you get to his spot.
08:59He's got the hot hand.
09:00But not only that.
09:01This game stuck on automatic.
09:02It's a natural score.
09:03Fallon Bridges.
09:04Shade sharp steps to the line.
09:06Shade with nineteen counting.
09:07Seven of twelve.
09:08Very efficient game for Shade.

14:00He ran out of talent, but it's okay.
14:02I'd be into the lane, out to Holiday, freezes defenders, now finds Sharp.
14:07Holiday on the rotation to the top, drills a triple.
14:10He looks towards the heavens as he knocks down his first three of the night.
14:14There we go.
14:15There we go, Drew.
14:17I wonder when the last time Jalen Brunson tried to dunk, because...
14:20Huh?
14:23Blazers hanging in, 71-58, still in the neighborhood, with seven and a half left here in the third, plenty of time.
14:30There we go.
14:33Obvious squeezes over the top of the screen.
14:37Hart now on the attack, out to Ananobi, running by him as Holiday.
14:41Ananobi, a free look, back tapped by Hart and into the hands of Brunson.
14:45Hart pumps it low to Townsend, gets separation.
14:50Deflected away by an alert, Holiday, who comes to help.
14:55So, nine to shoot for the Knicks.
14:57Townsend, averaging 20 points a game.
15:02Here in the month of January, averaging 16.
15:05It's the lowest average in a month that he has experienced since his rookie year.
15:10He's got 16 rebounds tonight, only five points.
15:14Coming off a 22-rebound effort against Toronto, but eight points in that one.
15:19Camara trying to find his way to Brunson, and Hart makes a pivot, and Camara runs him over.
15:28That's the third foul on Tumani.
15:30Tom Haberstroh has a dunk answer to your question on Brunson.
15:40Yeah, hold it down for the subpar six feet and under.
15:42Let me know.
15:44E.T., Jalen Brunson's last dunk came April 4th, 2024.
15:50He has never dunked against the Blazers.
15:52So, we'll see what happens tonight, guys.
15:56He's one point away from 10,000 points.
15:58So, that, you know what I mean?
16:00That was a play.
16:02You know what I mean?
16:03Could have been history.
16:06Hart corkscrews into a hopper that catches iron at a friendly roll.
16:09And a big lead of 15.
16:11Down the edge comes Grant into the paint.
16:14Bridges again gets over on that cross-court pass to make contact.
16:18And then off a holiday out of bounds.
16:19Mikel Bridges having an impact defensively on this game.
16:26Will handle it into front court.
16:28Hart zips a pass over to Ananobi.
16:31He drifts down below the break for three of the top.
16:34Towns the rebound.
16:36Hart put it off.
16:37It looked like off of Ananobi's foot and out of bounds.
16:40Plays her ball.
16:43And give credit for Drew for battling so hard down there.
16:46And I also give credit to New York Knicks for not looking at much in the post on it either.
16:51Because Carl Anthony Towns is definitely down there.
16:53Oh, wow.
16:55Holiday held up by Hart.
16:58And a foul on Josh.
16:59Giving him that tag.
17:03Knicks come in 14th rated defensively.
17:06And third offensively.
17:12Josh Hart always known as a tough competitor.
17:14Good defender.
17:18Some of his times his reaction is one step below Draymond Green.
17:22But he's just a likable guy.
17:25Just one step.
17:28Klingit checks out for the Blazers.
17:29Holiday threads his way through reaching Bridges and laid it in.
17:32Quickly up the floor come the Knicks.
17:37They get into the attacking zone quickly.
17:3917 to shoot for Bridges.
17:45Hart on the drive.
17:46There we go.
17:47Grant made contact on the ball.
17:50Bucket's going to count.
17:51Yeah, good call.
17:52Good late call.
17:53If he would have missed that, I'm pretty sure Josh Hart would try to figure out a way to get ejected.
17:58He was so mad.
17:59Glass then hand.
18:04Bucket good.
18:08Hart on the night.
18:1118 points.
18:13Runs at 19 to lead the way.
18:17Holiday up top to Williams.
18:19Underthrown Bridges again in the mix.
18:22And Ananobi on the run.
18:24Stripped by Obdia.
18:25Out of bounds.
18:26Last touched by Denny.
18:27The Blazers down 15.
18:32Denny Obby in 20 minutes has scored four points on two of nine.
18:37Trying to get the Blazers in possession here.
18:40Goes out of bounds.
18:41Knicks will control.
18:43Mitchell Robinson will step in for New York along with Landry Shabbat.
18:47One, two, three, three, three.
19:01Bridges spins away from the lunging grand.
19:03Obbya curls that ball in his right palm.
19:07Now sails up the floor.
19:08Makes a move on Bridges.
19:11Kicks into the corner.
19:12Kamara.
19:14A lot of contact down there.
19:17And a whistle.
19:18It's going against Portland.
19:24Saying he used that chicken wing.
19:26He extended the arm.
19:27I think Jalen just bounced back and sort of hit.
19:38Kind of sold it a little bit.
19:40I just think he literally just lifted his arm up.
19:43Fourth foul on Tamani.
19:44So Brunson goes right at the Blazers.
19:46And Williams goes right at him with a rejection.
19:50That's great.
19:5116 to shoot.
20:00Rob.
20:03Williams with three blocks.
20:09Brunson.
20:10Kind Lord.
20:11That's what he does, man.
20:12Especially when this team gets good.
20:13You're going to see how really good Rob Williams is.
20:15He's coming in and anchoring that defense.
20:18And Anobi drives in.
20:19Hands off to Robinson.
20:20Finds Shammott for three.
20:23Williams with a rebound.
20:25Five minutes left here in this third.
20:28Adia trying to find some rhythm.
20:31Out on top to Williams.
20:32Cross court.
20:33It comes to Grant.
20:37Boy, look at Brunson.
20:39He holds Grant and reaches it from behind to poke it free.
20:42A lot of contact.
20:44And Anobi the other way.
20:45Hook pass.
20:46Shammott.
20:46Open three.
20:47Around and out.
20:48Denny grabs it.
20:51There we go.
20:51Sales up the floor.
20:52Into the lane.
20:53Over to Sissoko.
20:54Trying to reverse it.
20:55Hacked.
20:56Wall gets spilled out of bounds.
20:59You don't get many opportunities.
21:01When we do defense and offense, it always works in our favor.
21:05We need to force more moments like that.
21:11Just naturally get out and run.
21:12You see the Knicks.
21:13Even they scored a few times on late fast breaks.
21:16Portland has been at the line now nine times, including that missed opportunity from Sissoko.
21:25Rip City wrap up is your ultimate postgame podcast for the Portland Trail Blazers.
21:29Join Danny Moran and Joe Simons for hot takes and insider insights after every game.
21:34Don't miss Rip City wrap up after the Blazers postgame show.
21:37City hits the second 430 left here in the third.
21:47And an OB.
22:01OJ relocates.
22:044 to shoot for Bridges.
22:06Blazers get a stop.
22:11Sissoko surveys.
22:14Williams.
22:15Sidearm bounce inside of the post up there is Grant to lay it in.
22:19You look at Rob Williams, what he can do.
22:21You see he has nine rebounds already.
22:23He's also a very skilled pass and it's underrated.
22:26So, like I said, the more and more this team keeps developing and more and more you're going to see little things come out about him that leads to winning.
22:33I saw that the year that I, I saw that the year I coached Rob Williams and for the Boston Celtics.
22:38He shocked me with his athleticism, but also how soft his touch was, his IQ, and with great bigs or with great passers, it's not hitting the target.
22:46It's leading them and where they're going to be at.
22:48And he has that concept of it.
22:53He's turned in a fine 15 minutes tonight.
22:55As we mentioned the blocked shots.
22:56Evan, you mentioned the assist is third.
22:59Nine boards as well.
23:00Brunson steps up.
23:01He got the Knicks off to a great start.
23:04And he has now achieved 10,000 points with that made free throw in his career.
23:08You know, which is crazy.
23:09So, his dad came up to me before the game and I was like, yo, you owe me money.
23:13And I was like, why?
23:13He's like, when he was younger, he made me, he made me go all around the world and find your college jersey.
23:19And I bought that.
23:20So, I'm going to ask him, like, hey, man, you wore my jersey.
23:25You can't get your 10,000 points, jersey.
23:26There you go.
23:30All-NBA, Jaylen Brunson.
23:32And a real Chicago legend, Illinois legend, Jaylen Brunson.
23:36Into the lane, hanging to the air.
23:38Advia is having a tough, tough night.
23:43Up the floor comes Ananobi.
23:45Advia extends the right hand and tips the pass out of bounds.
23:50Like we said prior, Advia has to get his rhythm up under him.
23:53But it's a tough night versus two all-pro defenders.
23:56You know what I mean?
23:57And now you're going against two all-pro defenders, but you're also trying to get your rhythm back with your team and camaraderie with your team.
24:04This young team, who, you know, even then himself, Drew Holiday, and I forgot somebody else, but they'll be playing like their 15th game together.
24:12So, it's going to take a little bit of time to keep building a camaraderie and continuity when it gets broken off.
24:21Love defending Brunson.
24:232-1.
24:252-1.
24:26Brunson scores.
24:29Brunson with 23 tonight.
24:35Advia spins.
24:37Steps back for three over Bridges.
24:41Good day, Denny.
24:43Denny, 2 of 11.
24:45Brunson the other way in transition.
24:48He'll bop away at a three.
24:49Blazers collect.
24:55That's a lot of, a lot of contact.
25:01Rebound Rob Williams in traffic with a two-hand jam.
25:04Rob Turner, Lord Williams.
25:07Let's go.
25:07Yep.
25:08I'd be really struggling out of the floor now.
25:12He's noticeably grimacing.
25:22Now, Bridges is going to test him here with six to shoot.
25:26Cross court.
25:27Gets rid of it.
25:32And Dior knocks down a three.
25:37The Knicks 12 of 29 shooting from three-point range.
25:40Grant to the baseline.
25:43Running right-hander.
25:44He's fouled.
25:48Good way to stop the momentum.
25:50Stop the bleeding.
25:52150 left in the third quarter.
25:54Timeout from New York.
25:56Knicks 82.
25:58Blazers 65.
25:59Like I said prior to, when I coached him, they didn't take me long to figure out why they
26:07call him Time Lord.
26:08He'd say he's great, great proud to acre in that paint and send his, send his souvenirs
26:12into the stands.
26:14And then right here, you see him catch live, but sometimes it's a near pass.
26:17He's just doing himself up top on his head.
26:20And Perioli from The Sopranos, Cousin Chrissy.
26:24Chrissy Moltisanti, the legend.
26:26Your favorite character in The Sopranos?
26:31I told you, I was more of a, I was more of a seal type of guy.
26:35And then right here, this is one of my favorite characters, the Time Lord.
26:38Anytime he's getting up, blocking his shot, putting a little swagger on it, I'd love to
26:42see him in his glow.
26:43Defensive player of the night.
26:45Grant plays his defensive play of the night, presented by Axiom Eco Pest Control.
26:48Axiom Eco Pest Control stops out pests and protects your house.
26:54That's underrated, man.
26:56That's underrated, man.
26:58My favorite character, I guess, thinking about it, Sopranos, Pauly Walnuts.
27:04Pauly?
27:04You like Pauly?
27:05I like Pauly.
27:08Travelers basketball, presented by First Tech Federal Credit Union, who invites you to explore
27:12the many exclusive perks and experiences of First Tech Beyond.
27:17Knicks, led by as many as 24 in the first half.
27:23Blazers have been trying to chip away.
27:25But every time they do, the Knicks have an answer.
27:31Usually it comes from Brunson.
27:34Jalen Brunson threads his way into the paint.
27:36Now he'll explore the depths out here with Diora.
27:40Tend to shoot.
27:44Diora bagging on the fellow countryman across court pass, intercepted by Sharp.
27:48He checks, Brunson glides to the glass.
27:50And he's showing Jalen Brunson like that's how you finish a dark on a fast break.
27:55Brunson the other way.
27:56Next time, never mind.
27:57Brunson gets a quick answer.
27:59Like we've said, he's always had an answer.
28:01Yeah, you're not lying.
28:02And he's an academic All-American coming out of Linova, so I shouldn't test him.
28:09Grant a three.
28:13Bridges the recovery, scans down the floor.
28:15Brunson is transition feeling it.
28:17Flies one up there.
28:17It's off.
28:18Shamit runs under the board.
28:21They rotate it to Bridges for three.
28:25Tumbles off into the hands of Sharp with 51 seconds left in the third.
28:30Knicks on top by 16.
28:32Sharp off the screen for three.
28:33Guides it up.
28:34No.
28:34Rebound tipped.
28:36Controlled by the Knicks.
28:40Brunson on the advance.
28:43Double.
28:47Bridges gets out for three.
28:49Love of the rebound.
28:51The corner three-point shooter Bridges missed a lot.
28:53He's doing us a favor today.
28:5533 attempts from three for the Knicks.
28:5713 hits.
28:5839 percent.
29:00Lazers.
29:0111 of 32.
29:0234 percent.
29:03Love holding.
29:04Three seconds.
29:06The difference on the clocks.
29:10Love gets some space.
29:12Fires the three.
29:13Comes off the deal.
29:14War.
29:14Up it comes to Brunson.
29:15Brunson Brunson's going to get a looker.
29:16Maybe the Bridges.
29:17He scores on the long lead pass to Bridges.
29:22Jalen Brunson had the internal clock going.
29:26The internal clock.
29:28And knew he had Bridges in stride to lay it in.
29:31Take a look.
29:31He's going to get a looker.
29:32He's going to get a looker.
29:33He's going to get a looker.
29:34He's going to get a looker.
29:36This whole game like we've been speaking on.
29:37They've been pretty good in transition.
29:38Even if it's a late transition.
29:40You know usually when the shots are going up you always need two men back.
29:44Especially when the shooter the shooter he can't get back in time.
29:46When it rains the pours and he beat the clock as you can see eighty seven sixty nine at the end of first at six the Cavaliers are in town.
29:57It tickets now a ticket master the official ticket marketplace of the trailblazers and the NBA.
30:03Phoenix coming into town on Tuesday then Memphis following for two Friday and Saturday Philadelphia is in Portland on February the ninth.
30:11Tyler Kolick on the floor now for the Knicks.
30:17For Jalen Brunson.
30:20Town steps out.
30:21He's checked by.
30:23Rob Williams.
30:25Rotated to Kolick.
30:26Drives and kicks.
30:28Three to shoot.
30:30Kolick will raise the lefty.
30:32Knocks in his second three of the night.
30:41A.
30:42Holloway.
30:43Working on shaman.
30:46Drives and tried to steer it over here to sharp through it by but outbounds a blazer turnover there 17th of the night.
30:56Portland average is a little better than 17 turnovers a game and it's thirtieth in the NBA death last most turnovers committed for ball game.

32:34Субтитры делал DimaTorzok
33:04Субтитры делал DimaTorzok
33:06With about a minute left in the second quarter then he had an issue with the left wrist and I mean it was so painful that it buckled him but he went to the floor that popped up and went over to the end of the fence. He was visibly upset.
33:36Yeah. I think it was not broke or it's not a ligament or something like that. He's been having a great season. He's been in and out. He's got to push through these rough days and keep battling through. Last thing you want to do is keep having to do a reset. I know he doesn't want to do that. I know he wants to find his rhythm and he will.
34:06Yeah the ball move for the Blazers is really interesting here. Yeah there are a bunch of turnovers but keep in mind there are 20 assists on 26 field goals which would be a season high in terms of assisted field goals on their baskets tonight.
34:21So 77% of their baskets have been assisted set up by the pass which would be a season high if that holds guys.
34:28All right. Thank you Tom.
34:33Those live ball turnovers though they are killer right Evan.
34:371000%
34:38Like that like this one.
34:40Here's sharp out ahead of the pack.
34:43Lines to the glass and grabs it down with two hands.
34:47Lasers force a turnover here trailing 96 74 9 0 8 left in the fourth.
34:53Next winners of their last four the Blazers have lost three straight.
34:56Now currently in this 3-2 switching zone as well.
35:02Park the runner Robinson at the inside hand tips it out of bounds blazer ball.
35:09Or he said live ball turnovers they lead to easy opportunities for the other team and we got a guy jumping over 40 inches.
35:16Head at the rim it's going to be very few people that can stop that stop that train.
35:20I'd be a sizes up Robinson he doesn't come out of his side so he drills a three.
35:28Yes sir.
35:30Then he's got to keep shooting him he's got to see them go in once they go in he's a different player and his team's a different team.
35:36Also two in his 3-2 matching zone you got to make sure you're there doing your work early and close out on threes.
35:44Kolek knocks down another three that's his third of the night stepping in for the injured Miles McBride.
35:49Kolek's been invaluable of his team not his second year for Marquette.
35:52I'd be a crossing left to right slithers by Robinson and laid it in and he is fouled.
36:01Straight like that keep finding your rhythm big dog keep finding your rhythm.
36:08It's not so much like a selfish thing when it comes down to having your best players on a court you always want your best player to feel good.
36:15You always want your best player to be a threat.
36:18How much do you believe in a player playing for the next game trying to get into rhythm for that next game that opportunity on Sunday against the Cavaliers.
36:28I mean is the real carryover among players.
36:30I think so just being a constant and pro.
36:32You always got to make sure one thing you learn from day one is whatever you do today is going to affect you tomorrow.
36:37So I think just finding your rhythm and when it's coming down to confidence.
36:41We've been hooping our whole life for some time right now.
36:44You can score five straight points.
36:46Look at him.
36:49Completely different pep in his step.
36:50Yeah.
36:50He might take off the tape off the rest.
36:53But what I'm saying is, you know, players play better when they feel good.
36:57That's all it is about feeling good and finding that delusion.
37:00That right level of delusion meant to be one of the best players in the world.
37:03And then he is.
37:05Towns has a miss.
37:06Match they throw it inside.
37:08He spins by Holiday to lay it in.
37:10And the Knicks lead it by 21 Towns.
37:1431 straight double-doubles.
37:19In deep, Otvia hands off to Sharp.
37:2431st double-double.
37:26I think last game, the city had 22 points beat.
37:298.
37:3022 rebounds, 8 points against the Raptors.
37:32That's right.
37:34Ananobi, two-hand jam.
37:387.25 left, fourth quarter.
37:4023-point Knicks lead.
37:46Sharp loses the handle.
37:47Ananobi has stepped on here.
37:49Close and fast.
37:50Reaches in to rip it.
37:51And it will be New York basketball.
38:00Right now, the Blazers got to go back to just getting the ball spreading around.
38:05It's so hard to score in the half-court set.
38:07We've been struggling the whole night.
38:08But especially when you have three long defenders waiting at the top of the key.
38:12And three of them are Josh Hart, Ojean Lobey, and Mikael Bridges.
38:18He said he shot 38% for the three, eh?
38:28Out of that corner, Ananobi, unstoppable.
38:31Like I said, forget what they're doing.
38:33Let's talk about something nice.
38:37Anytime Shane's above the Bremen, it's always nice.
38:41He's always going to get those two points.
38:43One of my favorites growing up.
38:53Great, great, great comedian.
38:55We've seen him at every Knicks game.
38:56Take a look at tonight's Alaska Airlines dunk of the game.
38:58Evan, what do you think?
39:00Man, I love when we see this type of play.
39:01Denny and I.J. are the transition.
39:03Looking to see if he wants to score, will or deal.
39:06This is the ideal type of offense, type of pace that the Blazers use when they're being successful.
39:11We got one of the top paces in the league.
39:13We need to see more of this time and time again.
39:15Turn off the defense and the offense and get the opposing team on their heels.
39:21That's setting the tone.
39:27Love probes.
39:28Floater up and in.
39:34Brunson back in here at the 651 mark with the Knicks leading 106-82.
39:39Mark the screen on Rupair.
39:45The pair trying to crash the screen.
39:49And draws the foul.
39:59Blazers come out with love Rupair along with Sissoko, Kamara, and Klingon.
40:03Hart tosses low to Ananobi.
40:08Touch pass back to Hart.
40:10Up the chute.
40:11Into the lane.
40:12Lays it up and in.
40:12Hart has been particularly good on the offensive end.
40:159-17.
40:1620 points.
40:17That's the most of the opportunities you give him.
40:21Says, if you want me to beat you, okay?
40:22I will.
40:23Southerly.
40:23Love a step back with Towns closing fast.
40:32Three is off.
40:33Ananobi the rebound.
40:35Up the floor.
40:36Hart ahead.
40:38To Towns for the two-hand jam.
40:40Big man running the floor to give the Knicks a whopping lead here.
40:44Knicks come in second best in the East this year, which really is up for grabs.
40:52Here's Rupair from three.
40:54We've out of Towns.
40:56Knicks won 51 a year ago, Evan.
40:57They lost in the Eastern Conference Finals at six to the Indiana Pacers,
41:02who obviously want to be a part of the equation this year in the East.
41:05But who do you like in the East?
41:06The Knicks have got to be there, right?
41:08Yeah, I like the Knicks for sure.
41:09People aren't going like me saying this, underrated.
41:11I'm not – I believe the Philadelphia 76ers are a sleeper.
41:15Anytime you have a leaded scorer like Tyrese Maxey and Embiid is your second option,
41:20along with Paul George being your third or fourth, I believe they're eight or nine deep.
41:24And they have good coaching and Nick Nurse.
41:26And when you hit the East, it's a game of runs.
41:28Last year, everybody thought that the Knicks were going to win once they took out the Celtics.
41:32And then they made a Disney movie with the Indiana Pacers.
41:34So when it comes to the East, anything is possible, man.
41:39But I'm not going to lie to you, being a Chicagoan, it makes no sense how bad I root for the Knicks and win.
41:48It's almost like, figure it out.
41:50The thing about Philly is if you hit it on the head, it beats playing world class.
41:56But for how long can he stay healthy?
41:58And the same goes with Paul George.
42:00Well, one thing, I mean, well, Paul, you're not so much worried about.
42:03Embiid, you really need him for every piece.
42:05You know what I'm saying?
42:06And, like, usually before he's ever hurt or before the playoffs hits, he goes from averaging 33 points to, like, 16.
42:13He almost turned, shout out to Embiid, but he almost turns into, like, the Kyle Lowry of Big Man.
42:18And, uh, I have much skill set.
42:21How does that happen?
42:22And we were just in Boston on Monday.
42:24And so, what if Jason Tatum comes back ahead of schedule?
42:31I kind of like it.
42:33I think it would be tough.
42:34I definitely think when it comes down to it, even if Jason Tatum, if I know how hard he's working, how well he's doing, he can score from anywhere on the court.
42:43I think even if you having to worry about him or the tension he brings, along with him being out and how those players have developed, pay the privilege of different Hooper now.
42:51He's a full-throttle starting point guard.
42:54You got Anthony Simons.
42:55He's a different type of Hooper.
42:57You have, uh, you also have Derek White.
42:59So, when we're sitting there, you're talking about, are your guns bigger than their guns?
43:05And they have four or five deep, and two of their top guns are, uh, shoot, they're not that thing.
43:13And that was Tatum's concern when he made those comments recently about, I don't want to disrupt what is already a pretty good flow.
43:19He's so classy.
43:20He's such a nice kid.
43:21Shut up and take your seat on the throne, kid, all right?
43:24You know what I mean?
43:25We go out, you go, big dog.
43:27Sissoko knocks down a triple for the Blazers.
43:29There we go.
43:3420 turnovers tonight for the Blazers.
43:36They forced just 11 against the Knicks.
43:38That, for starters, is part of the undoing.
43:41That's a great play of Brunson tonight to get the Knicks off to a real nice start.
43:46And then Colin coming off the bench.
43:49And he's playing now in combination with Brunson.
43:51Yep, and he's super efficient.
43:52And Brunson started off the first quarter with 13 points, set the tone, and found his team well.
43:57And then everything else has just been, you know, window dressing.
44:01They're hitting corner threes.
44:02They're shooting 38%.
44:03Guys are hitting the board.
44:05It's good.
44:08Sissoko, speaking of dressing, got undressed on that dribble drive.
44:12He played through a lot of contact and lay it in.
44:144-0-5 left, timeout on the deck.
44:16And the Knicks leading this one, 1-16.
44:191-16, 87.
44:22Blazers down here in the fourth quarter.
44:24You know, it's time, I think, to go down memory lane, take a stroll.
44:28Evan Turner, in your career, look at these teammates you had.
44:32I put together a starters list and a bench team.
44:35I don't think people talk enough about this guy, Kevin Calabro, and his handles.
44:39What a great teammate, Kevin, has been in your career.
44:42But look at these guys.
44:44Dane, Vince Carter, Andre Godala, Paul George, EB, starting at the 5.
44:49Drew, CJ, Rondo, and Roy Hibbert coming off the bench.
44:54ET, I'm wondering, how accurate is this list?
44:57The best teammates that you've played with in the NBA.
44:59It's definitely accurate.
45:01I think I might move Kev up a little bit, you know.
45:04Really ahead of Roy Hibbert?
45:05Head of Roy Hibbert.
45:06I think everybody else got their rewards and payment from the NBA.
45:09And I think what you've done hasn't got enough respect.
45:13But Kev Calabro, working with a rookie, working with a novice,
45:18and everybody, yo, babysit Evan real quick.
45:19And he did.
45:20So I always appreciate him opening up his doors and helping me so much
45:25because at the end of the day, it could be night and day,
45:27and he's made it so much easier.
45:29And being on the microphone and being on TV for three hours has been fun,
45:33and it's even better learning from a legend.
45:35Thank you, Kevin.
45:36Well, thank you, man.
45:37I appreciate that.
45:37Ever very nice of you to say that.
45:39No problem.
45:40Always welcome.
45:41Yeah, I didn't like any of my NBA teammates.
45:43So I couldn't say that.
45:45I know that's not right.
45:46Oh, my gosh.
45:47Now, when you come into a building, you seem to know everybody.
45:50It's like I'm with the Goodwill Ambassador and walk in here.
45:53Man, I guess that's what happens when you're nice in the moment.
45:56People remember in the future, right?
45:57Ran into Mario Elliott.
46:00I mean, there were a lot of names here tonight that, you know, that we both know over the years.
46:05It's great to see Stephon Marbury.
46:06He walked by.
46:07Starbury was in the house tonight.
46:09I think my most fun, we always talk about, you know, what's so cool about the Garden.
46:14And I remember playing here one time, and I was kind of on fire, and I just keep hearing somebody say,
46:19Get Turner, get Turner, get Turner.
46:22And it was Spike Lee.
46:23And I was like, man, is this my life?
46:25Like, you know, so every time you go to the Garden, it's super fun, especially when you can win in front of these stars.
46:30Had you played in the Garden at Ohio State?
46:32Had you played collegiately here before?
46:34Yes, sir.
46:34So you'd already broken the ice.
46:36Yeah, yeah.
46:36So preseason, NIT, Thanksgiving, 07, we played versus, we beat Syracuse, top 25.
46:42Wow.
46:43And lost it to Texas A&M.
46:45Then my junior year, we played North Carolina and Cal, so, you know, I had my beak wet a little bit,
46:52and I showed up, pulled up, and I tried to help.
46:56Sissoko hops into the lane.
46:58Beautiful drive right to the cuck to lay it in.
47:00Keep playing, big dog.
47:01Keep playing.
47:03City having a nice night.
47:0515 off the bench.
47:055 of 5.
47:06So is Kolic, but he misses this one.
47:08Yavasele runs down the rebound for the Knicks, who have unloaded down their bench.
47:12Dio Wara inside.
47:16New York cruising to their fifth straight win.
47:19Dio Wara, no.
47:20Jan Hansen in there, battling inside with the big body of Yavasele.
47:25Tipped out of bounds.
47:27Take a look at the Pacific Office automation stats.
47:30Tough first quarter for the Blazers.
47:31They, behind the withering play of Brunson, the Knicks took a 15-point lead at 37-22 after one.
47:39New York hitting the threes, 18-43.
47:42This is crazy.
47:44Out-rebounded the Blazers.
47:47Anytime a team hits 23s in a night, it's always going to be hard to beat them.
47:53Javante Cook on the drive.
47:55He is knocked down.
47:56Let's go to Brooke for an injury update.
47:58Well, guys, it was announced yesterday that Dwap Reith underwent season-ending surgery for a right foot stress fracture.
48:04Tiago Splitter spoke about that pregame, saying it's truly unfortunate because, of course, they'll miss his shooting on the floor.
48:09But more importantly, he's just such a wonderful teammate and locker room guy.
48:13But some welcomed good news.
48:14Scoot Henderson has been cleared to participate in contact drills at practice and is in the final stages of his recovery from that hamstring tear that has kept him out since training camp.
48:23And Blake Wesley, who's been out since October 31st with a right foot fracture, is also in the final stages of his recovery and also cleared to participate in those full contact practices as well.
48:33Thank you, Brooke.
48:34And there were some touchy moments tonight when Klingon got hammered in the hand, and he was walking up and down the floor in discomfort, holding the hand.
48:45But he continued to play, and we've not heard any report on any adverse condition that he's experiencing right now.
48:52It seems to be okay.
48:54And then Denny Odby as well.
48:56Just before half, going off to the locker room with what we thought may have been some issue with the left wrist.
49:03But he came back and answered the bell in the third quarter.
49:07So in a game like this, Evan, you just want to come out of it healthy, right?
49:11I mean, you'll be nicked up, but just, you know, able to play that next game on Sunday against the Cavaliers.
49:16Oh, Porte throws an elbow in there at Sissoko and clipped him right in the chops.
49:23Like we said, same thing that makes you laugh, makes you cry.
49:26We say Sissoko's always in the right place, and unfortunately, that was the right place.
49:31Oh, Porte with the inadvertent elbow.
49:37You talk about play, let's just take that.
49:38Yep.
49:40Love outside of three.
49:41Swirls and pops into the hands of Diorra.
49:44Back and into his legs.
49:47I think also here is all about to the guys that have barely been playing about getting your reps in
49:53and showing discipline and showing coach that he can trust you, and he's carrying out what y'all been working on,
49:57not making up anything, even just as a pro.
50:01That was a pro move here from Caleb Love in transition, blown by Kolic at a nice finish.
50:06And that kid was born to score.
50:07He's been averaging 15 points per game since he stepped into college at two of the biggest, you know,
50:13college basketball programs in history.
50:14So, it doesn't shock me scoring so well at this level.
50:17Played at Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis, Missouri, and played for Jason Tatum's dad, Justin.
50:24Man, that's crazy.
50:25Just Jason didn't mean to play for his dad.
50:27Small world.
50:28He's a Chaminade guy.
50:31Hanson with it.
50:32No-look feet.
50:33Over here to love.
50:34Checks his feet.
50:35Jabs.
50:35Recoils.
50:36The three is up and off.
50:39Rebound gets away from the Knicks.
50:40Blazer basketball.
50:41I taught the Dame one day, and I was like, low-key, Caleb kind of moves like you.
50:49Strong body, kind of upright, can make a lot of various posts when they decide to go north to south.
50:55And he's like, no, that's a fact.
50:56And then, obviously, the shooting.
50:57Like, they can both shoot it so effortlessly.
51:00And just two strong guards.
51:03That's a man.
51:05Now, the inbounds.
51:06Love winds up on a three.
51:08Knicks rebound.
51:09About 28 seconds remaining in this, with New York going to win their fifth straight.
51:15With wins against Brooklyn at Philly, home here against Sacramento, and a win at Toronto.
51:211-19-92 on Wednesday.
51:25The Knicks tonight, led by Jalen Brunson.
51:29Brunson with 26.
51:30An efficient 26 at that, man.
51:36Just another day at the office.
51:40At 5 of 12 from 3.
51:42The Blazers, led by the 26 tonight, up-shade and sharp.
51:46Getting out here with 11.
51:48That ties his season low of 11 points.
51:50On November the 23rd against Oklahoma City.
51:56Blazers come home after three games here this week in the frigid, frigid Northeast.
52:03Losing to Boston.
52:04Washington on the second of a back-to-back tonight against the Knicks.
52:08We'll come back and recap for you from New York in a moment.
52:12Woo!
