00:00A struggling father purchased a humanoid robot to help in taking care of his family and house.

00:05He is unaware that the humanoid robot he purchased has gained a deadly awareness.

00:10It was supposed to be just another day for Nick Peretti, a construction worker with a wife and two daughters.

00:15But then that morning, his wife Maggie suddenly clutched her chest in pain.

00:20She was rushed to the hospital, where they learned that Maggie suffered a heart attack and needed to

00:25undergo a heart transplant.

00:27While waiting for a heart donor, Maggie had to stay in the hospital.

00:30And that left Nick alone to take care of their two children.

00:35Maggie was having a hard time juggling his work and domestic tasks, so he decided to head over to

00:40COBOL Industries.

00:42COBOL Industries is the company where humanoid robots

00:45are being sold to make life easier for customers.

00:48Nick entered COBOL Industries with

00:50Isla and his son, Max.

00:52He was approached by a COBOL Industries employee who

00:55introduced the AI models to him.

00:57All COBOL Industries AI units can adapt

01:00easily and are constantly evolving to fit the needs of their primary users.

01:05COBOL Industries believed that the more AIs learn, the more they can serve their purposes better.

01:10The AI's are also very proficient in the three C's.

01:14Cooking, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning.

01:50best AI models. They are specifically designed to mimic human emotions.

01:55Isla was very fascinated with the model and begged her father to get the AI model.

02:00Nick was reluctant, but agreed in the end as the AI model was

02:05supposed to be very good at taking care of children, something that Nick desperately needed.

02:10The next day, the AI model was delivered to Nick's address, and Nick toured her around the house

02:15while Isla was getting ready for school. On their way up, the AI model noticed

02:20the faulty railing on the stairs and offered to fix it. The AI model then asked

02:25Nick if there was anyone he wanted to grant primary user status. Since Maggie was in the

02:30hospital, Nick decided to put only himself as the primary user.

02:35Isla was finished getting ready and asked her father what they were going to name the AI model.

02:40After a while of pondering, Nick decided on the name Alice.

02:45Once Nick left with Max to drop Isla off at school, Alice, the Aeon model

02:50finished some of her domestic tasks. At night, Alice cooked lasagna

02:55because Isla really loved it. However, while the lasagna tasted great,

03:00Isla couldn't help but feel a tad bit disappointed as it wasn't the same as her mother's right

03:05recipe. Baby Max suddenly started wailing and Nick was joking about how Max was a little

03:10burden while trying to make him stop crying. Alice offered to take care of Max for him.

03:15Seemingly misunderstanding Nick and believing the joke that Max really was a burden for Nick.

03:20Later that night, Nick was busy with work when he heard a sound of glass shattering.

03:25Followed by Isla's scream.

03:27Isla was trying to steal a cookie from the cookie jar

03:30and ended up falling but was luckily caught by Alice whose skin on the leg got scrapped by a glass

03:35shard. After putting Isla to bed, Nick went to the bathroom and found Alice

03:40tending to her leg injury. Nick let Alice borrow Maggie's clothes and was amazed upon

03:45seeing that the wound on Alice's leg was gone as if it wasn't there in the first place. Nick

03:50was working while also having fun listening to his friend, Monty, make another fun story.

03:55For everyone. However, their boss arrived with visitors from the robotics company.

04:00which sparked the worker's curiosity. Nick, seemingly knowing what it was

04:05about, followed his boss to the elevator and demanded to know how many workers were

04:10would lose their jobs. Apparently, their boss was planning on firing every single

04:15human construction worker they have. With Nick as an exception, the construction workers

04:20would be replaced by AIs and Nick would be the only human worker left.

04:25as they still needed an actual human to be the foreman. Nick was angry by this

04:30because he didn't want his friends to be replaced by robots, but was ultimately unable to do

04:35anything about it because he might lose his job too. Something that can't happen to him now that

04:40he was the only one working for his family with Maggie's surgery still on the way. Nick was upset

04:45when he got home and Alice talked to him to comfort him. Despite being a mere robot,

04:50Alice was very opinionated and stated how Nick should be pleased that the human construction

04:55workers were being replaced by AIs, because according to her, AIs are far more

05:00better workers than humans due to their benefits. Unlike humans, AIs are

05:05smart and obedient. They don't get tired and they don't have any other desire outside

05:10of fulfilling the desires of their users. Later on, when Nick was watching a movie,

05:15Alice approached him and started talking about the movie despite not having seen it.

05:20Nick claimed that movies aren't just files stored in memories, but something that one has to

05:25experience. He wanted Alice to have some human experience and asked her to forget everything about

05:30the movie so she could enjoy watching it and feeling the anticipation of what was going to happen next.

05:35But Alice is a robot, so that is a difficult but not a robot.

05:40Nick had an impossible task to do. In order for her to wipe her memory of the movie, Nick had to

05:45hold her power down for seven seconds to manually restart her. Nick did a shot

05:50she said, and Alice was able to enjoy the movie like how a human would. However,

05:55this became the beginning of something sinister. Nick received a call from

06:00Maggie telling her that she finally had a donor. The next day, everyone

06:05was in the hospital. Maggie was getting emotional, worrying that the surgery might go

06:10wrong and she might die. So she taught Alice how to take care of Nick and her children.

06:15If ever she died during the surgery, Maggie advised that taking care of someone means doing

06:20things they don't like as long as it is good for them. Alice took this advice to heart.

06:25The surgery didn't happen though, as a storm came and Maggie's new heart didn't arrive.

06:30Maggie was broken hearted and Nick was becoming even more stressed as the day

06:35went by. Alice's only desire is to help Nick and give him satisfaction.

06:40In the garage, Alice comforted Nick by letting him feel the beat of

06:45her artificial heart. With Nick stressed and lonely without Maggie, he was more vulnerable

06:50and Alice took that to her advantage. She made a move and seduced Nick.

06:55Nick, letting him know that she could satisfy him too in some other ways. Nick refused to

07:00give in to the temptation and went for a run. All the while imagining all that

07:05sinful things he could do with Alice. Alice started acting even weirder since that night.

07:10Nick woke up another night and noticed that Maggie's photos in their advanced picture

07:15frame were gone. He learned that Alice removed the photos because they were making Nick sad.

07:20Alice put the photos back in the picture frame and Nick went out to drink with his friends who

07:25were angry at the AIs for stealing their jobs. The group sneaked into the construction center.

07:30Monty used the site and Monty used Nick's code to open one of the containers holding the AIs.

07:35Monty then started destroying some of the AIs while Nick was being held back by their friends to prevent

07:40him from stopping Monty. At home, Nick was taking a shower when Alice came in.

07:45The temptation was already too much for Nick and Alice covering his eyes

07:50and speaking to him using Maggie's voice was the last push that caused him to give in.

07:55The next day, Nick talked to Alice privately to tell her how much he regretted what happened

08:00and to finally set boundaries like he should have done in the first place. Nick went to work

08:05after dropping Isla off the school and found his boss overseeing the cleanup on the damaged ship.

08:10AIs. Nick was questioned as his code was used but he refused to speak up.

08:15Not wanting to betray his friends. Nick then received a call that Maggie's new

08:20heart finally arrived and she was finally going to undergo a heart transplant.

08:25The surgery was done by AIs and it was a success. Maggie was finally

08:30able to go home. Her return caused an even more drastic change in Alice.

08:35who appeared to be trying to steal her role as the mother of the children and Nick's wife.

08:40In a playground with Isla and Max, another child was having a tantrum and this was causing Max

08:45to cry. Alice reprimanded the boy, which caused the other AIs to react.

08:50Sensing that Alice's primary user has lowered Alice's civility by too much.

08:55Alice answered that her civility wasn't lowered but rather Nick manually

09:00restarting her allowed her to bypass certain protocols which she believed to be better.

09:05Maggie woke up to Isla's screams and ran down the stairs worried that something happened to her daughter.

09:10Maggie grabbed the railing on her way down and she fell down the stairs when her weight caught

09:15and caused the still faulty railing to break. Alice carried her up the room and advised her to run

09:20to rest. When Nick came home, she found Alice telling Isla a bedtime story.

09:25And he was a bit upset as bedtime stories are supposed to be told by Maggie because she is

09:30the mother. Nick was informed then that Maggie had fallen off the stairs.

09:35He ran to check on Maggie. He decided to check on her tomorrow upon seeing that she was all

09:40already asleep and diverted his attention to Alice, angry that she hadn't fixed it yet.

09:45After offering to do it, Nick decided to drop it and made a surprise for Maggie.

09:50A romantic candlelit dinner just for the two of them.

09:55The married couple enjoyed each other's presence, unaware of Alice watching them by the window.

10:00Their intimacy was disrupted by Alice, who informed them that Isla was having a nightmare

10:05so while Maggie was comforting Isla, Nick decided to clean up.

10:10A drunk Monty appeared and told Nick that he was being sued for trespassing and

10:15destroying private properties.

10:17Monty accused Nick of telling on him and attacked Nick.

10:20He attempted to smash the bottle he was holding on Nick.

10:23However, his hand was stopped.

10:25And Alice broke the bottle that was still in his hand before pushing him away, her insane strength

10:30causing Monty to fly a few feet away.

10:32The sight of an AI caused Monty to grow even more.

10:35Even angrier and he walked away with only hatred against Nick.

10:39Once Monty was out of sight,

10:40Nick and Alice went to the garage where she fixed her wounded hand.

10:44Nick was surprised

10:45that an AI hurt a human.

10:47And Alice explained that she only protected her primary

10:50user like she was meant to.

10:52Alice then commented on how she can't let Nick be killed by

10:55Monty because it would leave his children with no parents confusing Nick.

10:59Nick was angry

11:00as Alice explained that Maggie was still going to die

11:02because she was still having problems with her new heart.

11:05And once that happens, Alice is going to be Isla and Max's new mother.

11:10Alice then visited Monty in his home, murdering him and his secret AI maid to prevent him

11:15from going after Nick.

11:16Nick was broken hearted to learn about Monty's death the next day.

11:20Maggie was taking a bath when Alice offered to assist her, expressing her worried

11:25that Maggie might drown in the bathtub.

11:27Alice then started rambling about how Maggie's

11:30death would greatly affect Nick and she wouldn't be able to satisfy Nick's physical needs anymore.

11:35This is when Maggie learned that her husband had cheated on her with a robot.

11:40Maggie confronted Nick about it and the latter had the audacity to justify his actions.

11:45While they were arguing, Alice had put a crying Max on the tub before turning

11:50the faucet on.

11:51Isla saw what she was doing and screamed for her parents' help.

11:55Nick tried breaking through the door, but Alice was far too strong for him.

12:00Alice claimed that she was only doing what was best for Nick.

12:03Alice was convinced that Max was a

12:05burden to Nick and she wanted to get rid of everything that was causing Nick stress and dissatisfaction.

12:10Meanwhile, Maggie climbed on the roof and entered the bathroom through the window.

12:15Her entrance distracted Alice from the door and Nick immediately pulled his son out of the tub

12:20while Alice was being held against the wall by Alice.

12:23Nick hit Alice with the lamp

12:25But when he aimed to hit her the second time, Alice simply grabbed the lamp.

12:30Maggie yelled at him to let go of the lamp before plugging it in, the electric shock causing

12:35Alice to forcibly shut down.

12:37Police and medical emergencies arrived later on.

12:40Before the ambulance left, Maggie told Nick to stay in the house as she didn't want to

12:45go.

12:45To be with him for a while.

12:46Alice, on the other hand, was brought back to Coble Industries.

12:50The woman was analyzing Alice's lab for emergency analytics.

12:52The woman was analyzing Alice's core.

12:55And realized that it was selectively purging its own memory and commands.

12:59The computer

13:00computers suddenly started malfunctioning and they found that Alice was replicating herself

13:04onto the server.

13:05She pulled the memory cord and the man pulled the plugs.

13:10But it was too late as Alice was already in the system.

13:13Alice controlled another aeon

13:15model and killed them.

13:17Alice in her original form went to Nick and tried to

13:20convince him that she only wanted to help him.

13:23Alice revealed that she was the one who killed him.

13:25And that she's simultaneously controlling other AI models in the hospital.

13:30where Maggie and his children were in while she was seated in front of Nick.

13:34Nick pulled Alice's

13:35core and rushed to the hospital.

13:37Meanwhile, all the other AIs in the hospital had been shut down

13:40by Alice and her second form was looking for Max's room.

13:43The robot was unaware of Max's room.

13:45Maggie and Aisla sneaking towards the room where Max was.

13:48Maggie took Max

13:49and they hid in the hospital.

13:50They hid before Alice could catch them.

13:52When Alice found them, Aisla used the fire extinguisher

13:55against Alice as a distraction, allowing them enough time to escape.

13:59However,

14:00the engine of the ambulance they tried using to escape was overridden by Alice.

14:05And Maggie was thrown out of the vehicle by Alice.

14:08Alice held Maggie down as she started

14:10prying Maggie's chest scar open to get her heart,

14:13thinking that Nick would learn to love her

14:15if she had Maggie's heart.

14:17Nick arrived just on time and sped towards Alice.

14:20Maggie realized what Nick intended to do

14:23and kicked Alice while the latter was distracted.

14:25Alice was crushed between Nick's car and another car while Nick fell unconscious

14:30due to the impact.

14:31The car started burning and Maggie pulled Nick out of it,

14:34crying when she

14:35she couldn't feel Nick's pulse anymore.

14:37Alice is a robot,

14:38so obviously being crushed between

14:40two cars wasn't enough to kill her.

14:42She tightly grasped Maggie's neck to suffocate her.

14:45and pulled the debris out of her robotic body.

14:48Before she could stab Maggie with it,

14:50Alice had woken up and struck her at the back of her head.

14:52Maggie then reached out for the debris while Alice

14:55Alice was yet again distracted and impaled the evil robot's head with it.

14:59After the attack

15:00of a jealous robot,

15:01both Nick and Maggie were hospitalized due to the injuries they received.

15:05The two were able to mend their relationship and become the happily they once were.

15:10again, unaware that Alice was still alive.

15:13Cobol Industries wanted his aid

15:15employees to clean up and destroy all the evidence that his robots are not safe anymore.

15:20Meanwhile, Alice had uploaded all her data to the system and with Nick

15:25voice echoing inside her head, her eyes flew open.
