Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) actor Jim Carrey may bear a resemblance to Heather Langenkamp & Johnny Depp, who acted together in the original A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984).

- I mentioned Ace Ventura, Carrey acted in this with Courtney Cox who was later in Wes Craven's Scream in 1996.
- Carrey's name has been linked for years with the role of "Elm Street's" horror icon Freddy Krueger. Mostly just wishful thinking (as of 2025) but this thought cropped up again recently in an Dread Central Development Hell podcast with The Mask (1994) director Chuck Russell.
