00:00A very important part of the Irish way of life is death.
00:05See, if anybody else, anywhere else in the world dies, that's the end of it, they're dead.
00:09But in Ireland...
00:10When somebody dies, we lay them out and watch them for a couple of days.
00:15It's called a wake.
00:20And it's a great, it's a party, it's a send-off.
00:23And the fellow's laid out the table.
00:25And it's drinking and dancing and all the food you can eat.
00:29And all...
00:30All your friends come from all over the place.
00:33And they all stand around the wake table looking at you.
00:35With a glass in their hands.
00:36And they say, here's to your health.
00:40And the terrible thing about dying over there is that you miss your own wake.
00:45It's the best day of your life.
00:48You're paid for everything and you can't...
00:50And join in.
00:53Well, if you did, you'd be drinking on your own.
