00:00We are a cycling group based out of Chicago, Illinois.
00:03We originated in 2020.
00:05At the height of the pandemic, it was three bike friends that loved riding bikes.
00:10And serving our community.
00:11So we organized a group ride for the three of us.
00:15And we went around the city cleaning love fridges.
00:18So love fridges, another amazing.
00:20Mutual aid organization in Chicago has fridges where people fill them, they take from them.
00:25And they rely on volunteers to clean them.
00:26And so it was a perfect opportunity to get outside, be with Frank.
00:30And serve our community.
00:31So back in late 2025, when ICE began tearing.
00:35Rising communities all over the country.
00:37They came to Chicago and they were kidnapping.
00:40Our neighbors, and that included street vendors.
00:42So one of our co-founders had the idea.
00:45Since street vendors are beloved in our community, they're outside.
00:50We're outside, we're outside, they're incredibly vulnerable to being kidnapped by ICE.
00:55And so what we thought, why don't we just raise the money and ride around the city?
01:00We do, and buy the Knox so they can go home and be safe with their families with some money.
01:05In their pocket.
01:06The second half of that is the distribution.
01:08So once we buy out all.
01:10All the food and everything they have, we turn around and we ride around the city and we give it out to folks that maybe.
01:15We're going to be experiencing homelessness.
01:16So that includes encampments, places where we know people.
01:20Gather, shelters, anyone, yeah, love reaches.
01:25Anywhere we know that people might be hungry and could benefit from the food.
01:30And from that, and I wonder.
01:35We learned from partnership with the street vendors association, we learned there was vendors at home who work.
01:40We're scared to go out and weren't able to make any money.
01:43And so we organized home buyouts.
01:45So that's our third initiative where we coordinate with them, we place orders.
01:50We go, we pick up their food, we pay them, and then we ride around the city.
01:55And distribute the food all over Chicago.
02:00And we're going, two inches away.
02:01We're going, two inches away.
02:06And we're going, one inch out over the city.
02:10Look at our best friends at home.
02:15When we flight around the city.
02:18We watch land out of New York's car.
02:21And we have to remove things from our cottage.
02:26The text vibe.
02:48Know your rights, um, on trainings.
02:50So there's just a lot of examples that.
02:52I think born out of a very awful situation, communities coming.
02:57Together and supporting each other.
02:59And so I think you'll continue to see that solidarity.
03:02Well beyond Trump's turn into the future, it's just made communities stronger.
03:07And just more resilient.
03:12Thank you.
03:17Thank you.
