00:00You watch the Seattle Seahawks advance to the NFC Championship game, win that NFC Championship.
00:05Game and now wind themselves into the Super Bowl here.
00:07Tough season all through where they were fighting back and forth.
00:10With the Los Angeles Rams and clip them again on Sunday in a close game.
00:15Sean McVay, if you just would have kicked that field goal five minutes left,
00:17it would have a little bit more dollars in my pocket.
00:19You would have covered the spread.
00:20But that's not what the Rams do, because Joe will tell you as well, the week before that in Chicago.
00:25A little bit of defense there, and you probably would have covered a spread or two there at that point.
00:28But the season is over now.
00:30Now, for the Los Angeles Rams, and here's Sean McVay on that Seattle loss.
00:33It was a great back and forth game.
00:35game by two great teams.
00:36But there's a couple critical errors that ended up costing us.
00:40Love this team.
00:41It's one of my all-time favorites.
00:42I'll be honest with you guys right now.
00:45Nothing but gratitude for these guys.
00:47Nothing but respect for the Seahawks.
00:50And I'm pretty numb.
00:52You know, I don't think, I think the finality of all of it, you know, when you.
00:55You don't allow yourself to even think about anything other than just advancing.
00:59You know, I felt like we were going to be.
01:00team on that podium, and we weren't.
01:02And, you know, you give Seattle the credit.
01:04But.
01:05I love this group, and, you know, I'm never really short on words, and.
01:10I am right now, so it's tough.
01:13But this is sports, and you've got to be able to deal with it.
01:15He's right about one thing there.
01:17You're losing the NFC Championship game, boy.
01:19It's got to be hard.
01:20Wait two weeks and watch the Super Bowl knowing, Joe, you could have been there, man.
01:25And I'm still replaying this in my head, Donnie.
01:28I'm still trying to figure out.
01:30Why we're not challenging that catch, you know, with Cooper Cup.
01:35There and the spot, but yet still using a timeout.
01:38I'm still trying to figure out why.
01:40Why it is, McVay, you didn't go for a two-point conversion, not once, but twice in.
01:45Those last two touchdowns to make it a field goal game.
01:47I got a lot of questions and a lot less.
01:50about the players and much more about McVay and his actual game management.
01:55and play calling.
01:56Puka Takua on a disappointing offense here.
01:59Let's hear from him.
02:00that we had at the red zone on a safety and just not being on the same page as Matt.
02:05even just opportunities that I missed the third down opportunities, knowing that.
02:10the ball is coming and we're passing the ball and the opportunity for us to make plays is right there
02:14and not being able to come down with it.
02:15and all those moments kind of flash by your head and I apologize.
02:20to the defense for putting them in those situations because we feel like we could execute it in order that.
02:25make that game easier for them.
02:26What did you think?
02:27What did you see, you know, Coach talked about that before?
02:29What mistakes?
02:30they went for on to kind of peel out what did you see on that part?
02:35I was in at number three, got a little drop defender from the line of scrimmage and
02:40had somebody over there.
02:41We were on the backside of the concept.
02:42We didn't get a chance to see what happened on the front side and then quick scramble.
02:45we were just in the red zone.
02:47Everything happens faster, less space for the defense to cover and
02:50I still haven't got a chance to receive so a great job, a great call by them and then.
02:55Yeah, just think about the opportunities on the third down, just not being able to
03:00make plays so we can avoid point down situations and put ourselves in a better situation and
03:04go out there and score time.
03:05Second and four in the red zone turned in the fourth and four in the red zone turned into
03:10a turnover on down show.
03:12That's what he's talking about.
03:13That's pretty much.
03:15That's exactly.
03:16That's exactly it.
03:17Play calling suspect the whole not.
03:20might really cross the board there.
03:22It's, it's kind of tough and there that's.
03:25That's going to, that's going to eat at their crawl for a while.
03:28Uh, Donnie, because what you can play the.
03:30What if game a lot and especially with them because as good as Sam Donald and play.
03:35My goodness.
03:36The Rams had every opportunity to win that game.
03:39Yep.
03:40Matthew Stafford was firing back as if he was right in the middle of his prime.
03:44Then there are.
03:45There might be some prime doubt if he's coming back here.
03:47Here's Sean McVeigh talking about Stafford's future.
03:49Thank you.
03:50Stafford would be back next season.
03:51Yeah.
03:52I mean, that's, I mean, if he, if he still wants to play, the hell can.
03:55What kind of question is that?
03:56Yeah.
03:57The answer.
03:58Yeah.
03:59You have to ask him.
04:00And we've been totally present.
04:01Um, he's, I know that if he wants to, he's still playing at a pretty damn good.
04:05clip.
04:06I mean, he's the MVP of the league and if he's not, you know, I got respect for it.
04:10Everybody else, but this guy played at a level.
04:11That's just different.
04:12I appreciate you guys to share.
04:13Thank you.
04:15Oh, he wanted to get out of there quick.
04:17Joe.
04:18Did you see that exit stage left?
04:19Yeah.
04:20It was.
04:20Not good.
04:21Yeah.
04:22He was not happy with that question, nor was he happy probably with his.
04:25not bad for his play calling and game management as well.
04:27Yeah.
04:28Yeah.
04:29Yeah.
04:30Yeah.
04:31Yeah.
04:32Yeah.
04:33Yeah.
04:34Yeah.
04:35Yeah.
04:36Yeah.
04:37Well, yeah, I think, I've had a little bit of play calling and game management as well.
