00:19Under the Programme, beneficiaries will receive fully developed residential lots at highly subsidised prices, with some sites offered as low as 30% of their open market value, making land ownership achievable for families who would otherwise be excluded from the open market.
00:40At the same time, beneficiaries will receive a 199-year deal of lease.
00:48Unlike other short-term leases that require frequent renewal and are difficult to manage, and limit long-term planning, these long-term leases give families the confidence to invest in permanent homes, improve their surroundings and their community, and establish routes that will endure across generations.
