00:00Okay, thank you very much for coming.
00:03Despite the trade challenges that threaten our exports,
00:07among others, the US reciprocal tariff trade reached highest ever recorded value of 3.06 trillion
00:14with exports amounting to 1.61 trillion ringgit and imports 1.45 trillion ringgit,
00:22resulting in a surplus of 151.8 billion ringgit.
00:27Higher exports were largely contributed by electrical and electronics products,
00:34particularly higher demands for electronic integrated circuits,
00:38reflecting the acceleration of global technology adoption, including artificial intelligence.
00:45The manufacturing sector remained the main driver of export growth,
00:49supported by strong demand for palm oil-based products,
00:54as well as continual expansion in machinery, equipment, and parts.
01:00Meanwhile, in the commodity sector, palm oil continues to be the nation's key export.
01:08Malaysia's active participation in global supply chains,
01:11namely in the area of technology, has led to healthy and higher import,
01:18mainly capital goods, to support increased manufacturing activities.
01:24Ladies and gentlemen,
01:27to ensure sustainable growth,
01:29Malaysia must diversify its trade partnerships,
01:32broadening trade relations beyond traditional markets,
01:37and forging stronger ties with emerging economies,
01:41will reduce reliance on any single region,
01:45mitigating potential risks.

02:20and to sustain our trade momentum,
02:23not only for this year,
02:25but for the years to come.
02:27Malaysia's competitiveness will further strengthen
02:30through digital economy,
02:31including cross-border e-commerce.
02:34Technologies and digital platforms
02:36provide Malaysia businesses
02:38with access to new opportunities in e-commerce,
02:42digital services,
02:43and cross-border data flows.
02:46This digital transformation
02:47not only expands market reach,
02:50but also improve operational efficiency
02:52and foster innovation positioning Malaysia
02:56as a forward-thinking hub in this region.
