00:09If you are contributing to knowledge, if you are a research scholar and if you'll add to the collective knowledge of humanity,
00:15if your PhD is really worth it, then you are doing everybody a favor.
00:20Wherever we stand today, a lot of that has to do with PhDs.
00:24Not of the kind that India regularly produces, but you know, the right kind.
00:28Because PhD is the only degree where you actually generate knowledge, not just consume knowledge.
00:35You generate knowledge.
00:37And we do need knowledge about the universe.
00:40If we don't have knowledge about what is happening there, wherever in quantum physics, wherever,
00:45then the vacuum will be filled by belief and that is superstition.
00:49So when you give knowledge, you are actually creating a barrier for superstition to enter.
00:56Because the mind does not accept vacuum.
00:58If it does not know something, it will fill up the vacuum with some stupid imagination.
01:06So if your research is authentic, stay put and do well there.
