00:00Dog the Bounty Hunter announced Tuesday morning that his wife, Beth Chapman, has died. She was 51.
00:05Hawaii-based bounty hunter Dwayne Dog Chapman said via his verified Twitter account,
00:10"...it's 5.32 in Hawaii and this is the time she would wake up to go hike Cocoa Head Mountain.
00:15Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side."
00:19Beth Chapman had been placed in a medically-induced coma on Sunday.
00:23She was diagnosed with throat cancer in early 2017.
00:25And despite her cancer being removed, the couple later revealed during the A&E special
00:29Dog and Beth fight of their lives in November 2017 that it had returned.

00:37I want my children to be able to see what a fight their mother put up.
00:41Beth was hospitalized in April of this year due to an accumulation of fluid in her lungs.
00:46The couple said in a statement at the time that doctors performed an emergency procedure to alleviate pressure.
00:50Beth Chapman starred with her husband on the A&E reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter,
00:55which ran from 2004 to 2012.
00:57The show followed the couple as they tracked down bail fugitives.
01:01They also starred in the spinoff series Dog and Beth on the Hunt,
01:04which aired on CMT from 2013 to 2015.
01:07The couple had two children together in addition to their children from previous marriages.
