00:09recently announced her plans to run for the top state spot. Jenner's run for governor mirrors that
00:14of fellow public figure and Republican Schwarzeneggers in 2003. He also challenged an
00:19embattled Democratic incumbent facing a recall election and won. During an appearance on ABC's
00:24Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmy Kimmel asked the actor and former politician if he thinks Jenner
00:29could win. Anyone has a chance because I think that the people are dissatisfied with what's going on
00:34here in California and I hope that as many people as possible are jumping into the race.
00:39Schwarzenegger noted when he ran for governor during a recall election, there were 150 candidates.
00:44He believes there will be at least 100 candidates this time around. The key thing about all of this
00:49is it doesn't matter if it's Caitlyn or if it's anyone else, do you have a clear vision of where
00:53you want to go? What are the kind of changes you want to make and why are you qualified to become
00:58governor? The star added he is, quote, very good friends with Jenner, but declined to say if she
01:03called him concerning her decision to run. I have the utmost respect for her, but I'm also very good
01:08friends with Governor Newsom and I'm good friends with all the other people that have contacted me
