00:00Hello, this is Sky Broadband.
00:03What are you doing?
00:04I was doing an impression of you.
00:06Stupid boy.
00:12Hi, guys.
00:13How are you getting on with your Wi-Fi and signal training?
00:15I'm doing quite well, but this guy is really struggling,
00:18so maybe you could give us some of your top tips.
00:20Of course I can.
00:21So, in the first instance, we always say to check that everything
00:24is securely plugged into the router.
00:26Keep the router up off the floor to boost the range
00:29and away from other electrical devices to avoid interference.
00:32Maybe I should write stuff down.
00:34God, I built my pen.
00:35So, to improve performance, we suggest a central location
00:39and to add a booster to anywhere in the property
00:42where the signal will drop below two bars to any connected device.
00:45If speeds are still consistently low,
00:47turn off any connected devices that aren't being used
00:50as they still use Wi-Fi.
00:52And if you have a lot of connected devices,
00:54it's probably best to upgrade to a faster broadband.
00:57Have you written all of that down?
00:58Well, I haven't got it all.
00:59I've got two bars and devices down.
01:02Don't show me up in front of Pamela Burke.
01:04Okay, I'll leave you there.
01:07The top tips for improving your Wi-Fi performance are
01:10place the router off the floor away from other electrical devices.
01:14Add a booster where you see the signal drop below two bars.
01:18Turn off connected devices not in use as they still use your Wi-Fi.
01:23Can I ask you a question, Jack?
01:27Who has two bars in their house?
01:30Surely one's enough.
01:32It's not bars like a bar with drinks.
01:35Just forget it.
