This Saturday, South Africans, called upon by the National Union of metalworkers of South Africa, marched to the US consulate in Johannesburg to demand the release of president Nicolas Maduro and First Lady and deputy Cilia Flores.

00:04marched to the U.S. Council in Johannesburg to demand the release of President Nicolas Maduro
00:09and First Lady and Deputy Celia Flores.
00:13Protesters also called for the immediate end to U.S. aggression and blockade against Venezuela.
00:19They condemned as well the military actions promoted by the Donald Trump administration
00:23with the aim of taking over Venezuela's natural resources.
00:30Meanwhile, South Africa's National Workers' Union is demanding that the United States
00:39withdraw its military presence from Venezuelan waters and airspace,
00:43for it constitutes a violation of international law.
00:46They're also requesting the Trump administration to end the economic blockades and sanctions
00:51on Venezuela and Cuba, including interfering with their oil and mineral resources.
00:56They have also urged the U.N. Security Council to defend the United Nations Charter
01:01and to hold the United States accountable for violating international law.
