00:00American Airline Center. This is the calm before the storm. They are expecting some serious weather tomorrow afternoon. But people are lined up to see this man play. Steph Curry, one of the superstars of the game against one of the young stars in the NBA. Cooper Flagg and the improving Dallas Mavericks. It's the second of three meetings between these two teams, the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks.
00:27And we've got all the action for you tonight right here on Prime. As we join you courtside, hi everybody, Ian Eagle, Bones, Brent Barry, Cassidy Hubbard, the rest of our NBA on Prime crew. Golden State had been playing its best basketball of the season. Warriors finally found their footing and then a crushing injury takes place earlier in the week that changes the complexion of the year.
00:52I don't like your energy to start the podcast. But yes, the Warriors were in a Golden State. 5-1 on that eight-game homestand. And in the third quarter against the Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler with that right ACL going down out for the remainder of the season.
01:09And I'll tell you what, took the energy out of the building. The lights dimmed on what Jimmy Butler was going to mean to the Warriors.
01:18But the light shone brightly on Jonathan Kaminga playing in the next game against Toronto. 21 minutes in that game, 20 points and a devastating loss.
01:26Just not a lot of energy from the Warriors. But Kaminga is going to get his chance in the next chapter for him.
01:31Speaking of lights shining bright, though, it's this guy, Steph Curry, again, at his peak powers in his 37th year on this planet, doing ungodly and unworldly things with the basketball this year.
01:44And taking on the Dallas Mavericks tonight. This team improving. The pace has certainly gone up and it's working for the Mavericks.
01:52And they've got a young standout of their own. And Cooper Flagg, a moment to go, our own Cassidy Hubbard, caught up with.
02:00Thanks, Ian. Cooper, Jason Kidd called you a unicorn. You're leading your team in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
02:08What's been the biggest adjustment, taking on so much responsibility this early in your career?
02:12Yeah, I think, you know, obviously it's been tough. It's been a lot. But just being myself, you know, my teammates have been great.
02:18And just helping me with that, being confident in me, giving me that confidence and just letting me be myself.
02:23Now, we know you grew up a Warriors fan. You even attended Steph's summer camp.
02:28You guys faced off against them on Christmas Day.
02:31But what was the biggest challenge facing off against Steph specifically when you're actually living and taking on him on the court?
02:39Yeah, I think it's what you see, you know, on TV. You know, just the movement, the pressure, obviously the way you can shoot the ball.
02:44So, you know, it's a tough guard. But, you know, we've got to stay locked in, you know, as a team.
02:48Five guys, you know, locked in together, playing team defense. And, you know, we can get the job done.
02:52Thanks for your time and good luck today.
02:54Back to you, Ian.
02:55All right, Cassidy, this is the rarefied air that Flagg currently occupies the names on this list.
03:02Youngest players to lead their team in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
03:05Is this a good list?
03:06This is good.
03:07I want to study this to make sure that these are some of the all-time greats. I'm pretty sure they are.
03:12So, you talk about a young player meeting expectations. Cooper Flagg has certainly done that.
03:17It is remarkable that he is 19 years old and has gained the respect of not only the coaches around this league,
03:24but the players immediately recognize what it is that he is capable of doing competitive every night.
03:30And in most cases, youth means potential. In this case, it means massive production.
03:35One area where they'd like to see an uptick, if possible, is three-point shooting for Cooper.
03:41Yeah, I think a lot of rookies coming to the league, they don't recognize how far the three-point line is
03:46and what that distance means.
03:47So, why not bring in our resident Dallas Maverick legend in Dirk Nowitzki and talk to Dirk
03:53about first-year struggles from the three-point line and what you have to do, Dirk,
03:58to improve how you get to become an efficient, effective three-point shooter in the NBA.
04:03Well, I think, you know, he had a lot on his plate early on in the season with running the point guard,
04:08trying to get the ball to everyone.
04:10And I think he's been a lot better from month to month.
04:13He's been, you know, more comfortable, I'd say, stepping into shots.
04:17And, you know, it's not like he's changed any of his shooting clinic right now or shooting form.
04:22He's just stepping into it with a little more confidence.
04:25He's been in a great rhythm since he moved more to his normal spot,
04:28averaging like 26 and 5 and almost 50% from the floor.
04:32So, he's been shooting at an incredible clip.
04:35And, like I said, nobody here in Dallas is worried about his three-ball.
04:39I think that's something you can come.
04:41Quick fun fact, that was actually my rookie season.
04:43I shot 29% from three and it ended up being okay.
04:48So, we're not worried about Cooper's three-ball.
04:52Yeah, certainly seeing a lot of improvement from him game by game.
04:55BG, what stands out to you as the biggest area of growth for Cooper Flagg so far?
04:59Yeah, I think for him, as he's gotten more comfortable, you know,
05:01he said he's playing with more confidence.
05:02But part of that is just him getting the ball on the move,
05:06cutting out the decision-making.
05:07A lot of times when you catch a static pass and now you have to create,
05:11it can lead to overthinking.
05:13So, for him, and if I'm the Dallas Mavericks,
05:16I want to keep him on the move, get him running out of the corners,
05:18and allow his athleticism to then create for others
05:21because he knows how to play basketball.
05:23He wouldn't be the number one pick if he wasn't.
05:25He's leading the team in all these categories,
05:27and it shows when he just doesn't have to think.
05:30I mean, turned 19 on December 21st,
05:32meaning he will be a teenager until the middle of his sophomore season.
05:35But, I mean, Steve, for as young as he is,
05:37he has such a maturity about him.
05:40He really does.
05:41I mean, I think having that spotlight on you from a young age helps.
05:43He's coming in this year.
05:45They put him at point guard, which is kind of an adversity for him
05:48right off the bat.
05:48He kind of handled it fine in my eyes.
05:51My question was, can he be a number one or is he going to be a 1B?
05:54I think he's going to be a number one.
05:56Like, I think the shooting is going to come.
05:57I think the playmaking is there.
05:59The defense, playing off the move.
06:01So, as BG said, you know, quick decisions.
06:04He's improved so much so quickly this year.
06:06I just think the sky's the limit for this kid.
06:08All right, they're facing the Warriors tonight.
06:09UD, how do you think Steph Curry will have to adjust without Jimmy out there?
06:14I think normally or naturally people would assume that he has to score more.
06:17But I think he has to get guys involved more.
06:19I think he has to facilitate more.
06:20He's going to get a lot of attention tonight.
06:22And I'll tell you, this team is 8-1 when they make 20-plus threes.
06:25So, he's going to have to get in the paint.
06:27Quentin Post is going to have to get threes.
06:28Will Richards is going to have to get threes.
06:29Those guys that don't create for themselves.
06:31I think if they can get a steady diet of that, a recipe of that,
06:34they can put themselves in a good position.
06:36Well, Steph is responsible for a lot of those.
06:38He has 156 made threes this season, made or assisted on 223 threes this season.
06:45So, Steph isn't just a big part of their offense.
06:48He kind of is their offense.
06:50So, we will see how he adjusts without having Jimmy by his side.
06:53All right, thank you all so much for watching NBA On Prime pregame presented by CarMax.
06:59A live look at American Airlines Center.
07:05Warriors and Mavs getting ready to go in Dallas.
07:07Tip-off just a few minutes away with Ion Eagle.
07:10You're watching a special presentation of the NBA On Prime.
07:13We'll see you next time.
07:43It's an incredible shot.
07:45Oh!
07:47Y'all gonna make me,
07:48y'all gonna make me,
07:50y'all gonna make me do my mind.
07:52Next season from David,
07:54number 13,
07:55that's right,
07:56Darcy!
07:58We welcome you to AWS Rivals Week on Prime,
08:01presented by Wingstop.
08:03Tonight, it is the Golden State Warriors
08:06and the Dallas Mavericks,
08:09a rematch of the 2022 Western Conference Finals.
08:13Warriors interaction at 25-20.
08:16The Mavericks are 18-26.
08:20Mavs have won three in a row.
08:21Golden State, four of its last five.
08:23Let's check out the starting lineups
08:25for the Warriors.
08:26Curry, Pajemski, Moody, Green, and Santos.
08:30Of course, Jimmy Butler is done for the season
08:34after the torn ACL against Miami.
08:37The Mavericks.
08:39This is a lineup that has been very fluid
08:43based on the injuries that they've dealt with.
08:45Marshall, Christie, Flagg, Martin, and Powell
08:49for Jason Kidd's squad.
08:52Now in his fifth year as the head man of the Mavs,
08:55he just really likes what they've been doing
08:57with their pace,
08:59getting into the offense quickly,
09:01converting in transition.
09:03Steve Kerr,
09:03this is a big challenge now without Butler,
09:06and pace actually could be an adjustment
09:09that the Warriors make in the absence of Butler, Brian.
09:12Yeah, really interesting, Berg,
09:14to talk about how the Warriors last year
09:16after coming out of training camp
09:17were talking about playing super fast
09:19until they acquired one, Jimmy Butler,
09:21who made them slow down, play more half-court offense.
09:24Now that option is gone,
09:25so Steve's going to tap back in
09:27to the pace of this young Warrior legs
09:29as much as he possibly can.
09:31Golden State trying to forget about
09:32the blowout loss to Toronto on Tuesday night.
09:35Meanwhile, Dallas blew out the Knicks
09:37on Monday night.
09:38They shot 49% from the field.
09:40Flagg went for 18 points
09:42and seven rebounds.
09:44So more starting lineups used in the NBA.
09:47Dallas 23 tonight.
09:49Golden State with its 20th
09:51unique starting lineup this season.
09:56Well, one ability in this league
09:58is adaptability,
10:00and these coaches have had to do this
10:02all year long.
10:03Significant pieces missing
10:05from each of these lineups
10:06as the young season.
10:08We're not even at the All-Star break,
10:09and they've had to shuffle the cards quite a bit.
10:14Golden State Warriors,
10:16eighth in the Western Conference.
10:18This is the start of a four-game road trip.
10:20They played their last 10 games
10:22all in the state of California.
10:25Our officiating crew tonight,
10:26Courtley Kirkland,
10:28Gediminis,
10:28Petritas,
10:29and Tyler Ricks.
10:31We are set to go.
10:34Second of three meetings.
10:36Warriors won the first on Christmas over Dallas.
10:38We're underway from Big D.
10:41And the Mavis control the tip.
10:43Cooper flagged the versatility
10:45with playing a lot of board guard
10:47for this squad.
10:50Christie
10:50coming off a tremendous effort
10:53against the Knicks
10:53where he put up 26 points
10:55over Poczymski.
11:00The Warriors,
11:02as much as they want to play with pace,
11:04need to get shots every time
11:05down the floor.
11:05Turnovers have killed them.
11:07They've been much better
11:08in the last five games
11:09in terms of not turning it over,
11:11but Dallas will take advantage
11:12of any miscues.
11:14Green's jumper is short.
11:16And Powell grabs the board.
11:20Well, the offense runs through Flagg,
11:22the rookie attitude.
11:24Lines of a three.
11:26And it bounces off a discard there
11:28as Santos hit the deck.
11:29Green runs the floor,
11:31challenges Flagg,
11:32but couldn't finish.
11:34And it's cleared by Powell.
11:36Flagg went ahead of Steve.
11:38All the way.
11:39Hands and hits.
11:40Plus one.
11:41Two, three, three.
11:43Just a prime example
11:46of the talent,
11:48the body control,
11:49and the ability of Cooper Flagg
11:51at his size.
11:53The in-and-out dribble,
11:54the use of the glass,
11:54and the great finish
11:55to get to the free throw line.
11:58And the foul on Steph Curry.
12:00Cassidy mentioned it.
12:01Cooper Flagg was a camper
12:02at the Steph Curry basketball camp.
12:06And that's how life can come at you fast.
12:10Yeah, but how long ago was that?
12:11He still wears the same size
12:13shirt he wore that he got from the camp.
12:15It was three weeks ago, Brett.
12:17He was a camper.
12:18They got smoke juice.
12:20Pull up pop,
12:20and doesn't go for Curry.
12:23And it's saved there by Christie.
12:27Magic Marshall is giving Dallas
12:29quality minutes.
12:31Whatever they needed from him,
12:32he's provided,
12:33and he comes up short.
12:35Moody comes out of the pack with it.
12:38Warriors still looking to get on the board.
12:40Green, back door.
12:41That was risky.
12:43And it bounces off of Curry.
12:44Turnover.
12:45Five on four developing.
12:47Marshall challenging Santos,
12:49and he drips it up and in.
12:53Moody's been so good around the rim,
12:55his vote game has really improved
12:57since the start of the season.
12:58Coming on strong offensively.
13:00Bulldog mentality as Pajemski kicks it up
13:03for the Santos three.
13:05It's short.
13:06Golden State is four,
13:07four from the field.
13:09Four nothing lead for Dallas.
13:12Switch.
13:12Flag now has Green.
13:17Four.
13:18The touch for Flag.
13:19Really great recognition.
13:20Cooper didn't want to shoot that three.
13:22That secondary screen pushed
13:23Green so deep down into the paint
13:26that Cooper could get to the foul line
13:28and be more effective there.
13:29He had 27 points in the first meeting,
13:31which was a Warriors win on Christmas.
13:34Pajemski hits the deck,
13:35needs some help.
13:36Santos takes the baseline.
13:38Shot clock is down to five.
13:39Handoff.
13:40Curry.
13:42Shot clock down to one.
13:43Green.
13:45They just get it off in time,
13:46but Santos is off.
13:49Dallas is three of six from the field.
13:52Flag sets it up for Marshall.
13:53Martin's three.
13:57Off the rim.
13:59Dallas doing a really good job
14:00after the rebound so far,
14:02Bergen,
14:02just keeping the floor spread
14:03and letting guys be exploratory
14:05early in the shot clock.
14:07Push shot comes up short
14:08from Green.
14:09They can't buy one.
14:110 of 6 to open action.
14:156-0 advantage here for Dallas.
14:17It's just over three minutes gone by
14:19in the opening quarter.
14:21Christie one-on-one with Curry.
14:22Flag three.
14:25It bounces off.
14:28So Curry off the ball,
14:30Pajemski handles it.
14:32Curry, clean look.
14:34Bottom.
14:36That's one way to get on the board.
14:38Yeah, just give it a hip.
14:39By step, yeah, get step a shot.
14:41Curry had just 16 points
14:43at that loss to Toronto.
14:45Shot a 6 of 16 for the field.
14:47And how good was Emmanuel quickly
14:50in that game.
14:51Unbelievable efficiency for him.
14:53A 40-point game for him on the road.
14:57Pretty significant.
14:58Turnover.
14:59Pajemski tried,
15:00but couldn't slam it.
15:02And it's out of bounds.
15:06Pajemski was looking for a call.
15:08Well, no quit.
15:09And Caleb Martin as he comes down,
15:11catches up,
15:12and gets a piece of that ball.
15:14That's a blocked shot for Caleb Martin.
15:16And I don't know
15:16why Brandon slowed down at all
15:19trying to get to that dunk.
15:21Great defense.
15:23Change here for Golden State.
15:25Santos sits.
15:26Gary Payton, the second,
15:28is in.
15:32Payton, there's no one there.
15:34And he couldn't finish it.
15:37The struggles continue
15:39for the Warriors.
15:396-3 Dallas.
15:41Powell, not a threat from out there.
15:42Christie is.
15:45Powell.
15:45He's a threat inside.
15:47And he'll go to the free throw line.
15:49A foul call.
15:53It'll be Drayvon Green
15:54picking up the personal.

16:08I didn't think this would
16:10come front of mind
16:11so early in this game.
16:13We talked to Steve Poole
16:15about the absence of Jimmy Butler
16:16and what he has to do.
16:17He talked about
16:18how much he has to experiment
16:20with the lineup.
16:21So not only do we have
16:22the 20th starting lineup,
16:23but these rotations
16:24and the minutes
16:25that we're going to see
16:26are going to be
16:28super experimental
16:29for Golden State
16:30to find the rhythm.
16:31and right now
16:32they still look like
16:33they're emotionally drained
16:35from what has happened
16:36to them
16:37in the wake of Jimmy Butler.
16:38And understood.
16:39It is such a damaging blow
16:42for what he meant
16:42to this team.
16:43Not just on court,
16:46but the leadership
16:47off the court.
16:49Curry's jumper
16:49is pure.
16:52And you look up
16:52and even though
16:53Golden State
16:54hasn't shot it well
16:55or executed well,
16:56they're down by one.
16:58Flag.
16:59Straightaway train.
17:01Too strong.
17:01He overcooked it.
17:03Green gets it ahead.
17:04Curry up the floor.
17:05Richard, the rookie, is in.
17:08Moody's jumper.
17:10Does it go?
17:11Long rebound to Marshall.
17:13Flag is 0 of 3
17:14from 3-4 territory.
17:17Moody doesn't fight
17:18on the fake,
17:19but Marshall rises up
17:20and cans it.
17:22Big pages from Najee there
17:24just waiting to create
17:25a shooting window.
17:26And again,
17:27he scores inside the paint.
17:29Oh, really deep
17:30for Steph Curry.
17:32Unlimited range.
17:36Curry is 3 of 3
17:37from downtown.
17:38We're tied at 9.
17:42Warrior team is 8
17:43and 13 on the road.
17:45They cleaned up at home.
17:46Hey!
17:47The fake and the flip
17:49for the veteran big.
17:50Dwight Powell injuries
17:52to Anthony Davis,
17:54to Daniel Gafford,
17:55to Derek Lively.
17:57That is why Powell
17:58is in the lineup.
18:02Rhythm shot.
18:03It's good.
18:04Max Christie
18:05from deep.
18:09The Mavericks
18:11up 14-9
18:12here in the early going.
18:14Steph Curry
18:15getting warmed up
18:17in Dallas.
18:23Mullen,
18:24Rolando Blackman,
18:25Baron Davis,
18:26Dirk Knozitski
18:27updated now
18:28with Curry and Flagg.
18:30The first meeting
18:31between these two teams
18:32was back in October
18:33of 1980.
18:35Golden State
18:36got the win
18:3686-79.
18:38Joe Barry Carroll
18:39led the way
18:40with 21 points
18:41and 13 rebounds.
18:43Jim Spinarco
18:44was the high man
18:46for Dallas.
18:46Okay.
18:47And he was rocking
18:47the mustache
18:48with 16 points
18:49and 10 boards.
18:51Very good trivia.
18:52I might have gone
18:52to that game.
18:53Did you be in the Bay Area?
18:54I might have been there.
18:54I think it was.
18:56That was Dallas'
18:57first season.
18:58P.J. Washington
18:59is now back
19:01for Dallas
19:02and he turns
19:02the ball over.
19:03That was after
19:04the Peyton layup.
19:08Curry for the tie.
19:10Rebounded by Christie.
19:11Also,
19:12Moussa Cissé
19:13in the game
19:14along with Brandon
19:16Williams
19:16for the Mavs.
19:21Way outside,
19:22Marshall.
19:23They showed two
19:24initially.
19:25Now he's one-on-one
19:25with Curry.
19:27Marshall
19:28and he's fouled.
19:30Two free throws
19:30for
19:31the sixth-year
19:33pro,
19:33Najee Marshall.
19:37NBA schedule
19:38tomorrow night.
19:39We've got you covered
19:40here on Prime Video
19:41with a doubleheader.
19:42Houston at Detroit
19:44and then Milwaukee
19:45hosting Denver.
19:47ABC on Saturday.
19:48The Knicks and the Sixers,
19:49the Warriors,
19:50will be in Minnesota
19:51and Dallas will be
19:53hosting the Lakers.
19:54More on these games.
19:56Go to NBA.com.
19:57Najee Marshall is playing
19:59such good basketball
20:00for the Dallas Mavericks.
20:02Coming over from New Orleans,
20:03always a guy around the league
20:04who talked about his toughness
20:06as Clay Thompson checks in,
20:07but talking about his toughness
20:09and his two-way ability,
20:10another product out of
20:11Xavier like David West
20:12and James Posey,
20:13but this is the first year
20:14that Najee Marshall
20:16has shot 70%
20:18in his two-point attempts.
20:2070% of his shots
20:21are coming from two,
20:22so he's doing a great job
20:23finely burned about
20:24just being patient,
20:25getting into the lane
20:26and producing
20:27better quality shots
20:28and he's capable
20:30of making.
20:31Let's get more
20:32from Cassidy.
20:33Jason K called him
20:34their Iron Man
20:35because whether he starts
20:36or comes off the bench,
20:37he gives him
20:38that same steady presence
20:39of toughness
20:40and Marshall told me
20:41his approach is simple.
20:42Defend,
20:43do the dirty work
20:44and stay consistent
20:45and whatever the team needs
20:47in your world will grow
20:48and that's exactly
20:49what he's been so important
20:50for them
20:51through all of the injuries
20:52that the Mavericks
20:53have suffered this season.
20:54And Cassidy and Brent Curry
20:56thought that his shot
20:58should have counted.
21:00Thought the defender
21:01was late
21:02and then on the other end,
21:03Golden State felt
21:04that they blocked
21:05Cissé clean twice
21:07and yet Cissé
21:09is going
21:09to the free throw line.
21:10Peyton was called
21:11for the foul.
21:12That's the fourth team foul.
21:13Curry has two personalities.
21:15Al Horford in the game
21:16for the Warriors
21:17at the Anthony Melton
21:18who has been giving them
21:19incredibly productive minutes
21:22also on the floor.
21:25It's the second time
21:26in the game
21:26that something has happened
21:27specifically to Steph Curry
21:30on the offensive end
21:31where he has not got a call.
21:32One was a bump on the drive.
21:33Steve was upset about that.
21:35Second one was the goaltend
21:36and then it ends up
21:37both times Dallas
21:38has capitalized down here
21:40and so frustrations building
21:41for Golden State
21:42in terms of the whistle
21:43so far.
21:44And Steve having
21:45a one-sided conversation
21:47with a young official
21:48Tyler Ricks.
21:51Cissé.
21:52Again,
21:52they've had to find minutes
21:54at that center spot.
21:56Cissé is a rookie
21:57out of Memphis
21:57and he goes
21:59one out of two.
22:00Clay Thompson,
22:01Splash Brothers
22:01are guarding
22:02one another right now.
22:03Williams,
22:04the jump shot
22:04doesn't go.
22:06And the uncontested board
22:07for Curry.
22:10Curry,
22:11a little stop and go.
22:11He fakes out Martin,
22:12drive,
22:13kick,
22:13extra Kaminga in
22:15for the Warriors.
22:19Had a DNP
22:20coach's decision
22:2116 straight games.
22:23The touch
22:23and the foul
22:24for Kaminga.
22:26A little extra celebration
22:28not only for Kaminga
22:29just to score
22:30but for them
22:31to get a whistle
22:32as Jonathan finds
22:33his way to the line
22:34and that's what he can do
22:35athletically,
22:35get downhill,
22:37use his broad shoulders,
22:38use that athleticism,
22:39a nice fade
22:40and the good touch
22:41for J.K.
22:42What does this look like
22:43moving forward?
22:44It's not simply
22:45oh, okay,
22:46Kaminga just replaces
22:47Jimmy Butler.
22:48That's not the expectation level.
22:50No, it's still up
22:51in the air.
22:52Obviously,
22:52they have to start
22:53playing Jonathan Kaminga
22:54for the positional need
22:57that Golden State has.
22:58There's a couple weeks
22:59for Mike Dunleavy
23:00in this front office
23:00to make a decision
23:01and we know
23:02that it's just
23:03an interesting
23:04factor
23:04that almost gets a lot
23:05to Cissé
23:06in a Jonathan Kaminga saga.
23:09Run it the other way,
23:10Milton was trying
23:11to set it up
23:11for the high flyer
23:12Kaminga
23:12but they turned it over
23:13and Dallas
23:15just gives it
23:16right back.
23:17Martin couldn't hit
23:18Williams along the sideline.
23:24Yeah, I mean,
23:29I think as far
23:29as the demand
23:30I'm aware of that.
23:32I think when you
23:33turn to demands
23:35when you make a demand
23:36there needs to be demand
23:37on the market
23:39so we'll see
23:40where that unfolds
23:41but Bird
23:42always with these guys
23:44I tell them
23:45I'm willing to work
23:45with them
23:46and I want to help
23:47people out
23:48whether that's
23:49JK
23:50or any player
23:51in our roster
23:52so we're good
23:53with, you know,
23:54if that's his wishes
23:55trying to figure that out
23:56but he's got to do
23:57his best way.
23:58You get a bucket
23:59from Milton.
24:00Martin has called
24:01for a hook
24:02on the other end
24:02so that won't count.
24:04The words of GM
24:05Mike Dunleavy
24:05and it's interesting, Brent
24:07because
24:08when you saw
24:09the words printed
24:11initially
24:11when it started
24:12spreading on social media
24:13it came across
24:14much harsher
24:15than the actual
24:17comments from Dunleavy
24:18in regards to
24:19a trade demand
24:20and there needs
24:21to be demand.
24:22Yeah, when you give it
24:23that kind of context
24:24the way Mike was approaching
24:25as Kaminga gets
24:26another bucket
24:27Mike was saying
24:29just the honest truth.
24:30I don't think
24:30there was anything
24:31biting about it.
24:32They are in this situation
24:33trying to work
24:34through it
24:35as best they can
24:35and involving
24:36the parties
24:37that need to be involved
24:38to find a solution
24:40to what it is
24:41that's happening.
24:42I don't want to say
24:42problem
24:43because Jonathan Kaminga
24:44can play
24:45and if they
24:46ask him to do
24:47certain things
24:48and he does those things
24:49he will continue
24:50to play
24:50he will continue
24:51to improve
24:51but if there's
24:52something out there
24:53to Golden State
24:54to do
24:54in terms of
24:55a roster change
24:56Mike Dunleavy
24:57is listening to those
24:58calls and we'll see
24:59in the next two weeks
25:00if there's something
25:01that happens.
25:01And by the way
25:02by all accounts
25:03Kaminga's handled it
25:04like a pro.
25:05Thompson misses on a three ball
25:06Washington flies in for the board
25:08and he makes it
25:10and that ends
25:10an 8-0 run
25:12for the Warriors
25:13we're tied at 19.
25:14And how much has Dallas
25:15even in their recent stretch
25:16just missed
25:17a presence
25:18on the rebounding
25:18weather's defense
25:19in this case
25:20offense
25:21for P.J. Washington
25:22to get that score.
25:24Pajemski gets the screen
25:25from Kaminga
25:25it's blocked
25:26by Martin
25:27Pajemski tried
25:27to hoist a three
25:29Williams
25:30navigating
25:32Thompson's really
25:34shot it well recently
25:35but he turns it over
25:36nice defense there
25:37from the Warriors
25:38Richard bounces
25:393-on-1 developing
25:40the extension
25:41by Melton
25:42and he gets the run
25:43with a little bit
25:45of body English
25:46to make sure
25:46it went through
25:47Williams
25:48in tape mode
25:49and he lays it in
25:50pedal to the metal
25:51Now nobody's
25:53stepping up
25:54in Brandon Williams' way
25:55so he made his way
25:56all the way
25:57to the bucket
25:57that time
25:58with a nice finish
25:59Melton turns the corner
26:02and he got hacked
26:03in the paint
26:03good action
26:05end-to-end
26:062-34 to play
26:08in the first
26:08we're all mounted
26:09up to 21
26:10well pretty good time
26:15just to give you
26:16an update
26:16on the Mavericks
26:17the arrival
26:18of Cooper Flagg
26:19and he has lived
26:20up to the billing
26:21they made a decision
26:23to let go
26:25of Nico Harrison
26:26their GM
26:27in November
26:28they've dealt
26:28with a ton
26:29of injuries
26:30throughout the year
26:31and the play
26:33of Klay Thompson
26:34last seven games
26:35the numbers
26:35are up
26:36he has handled
26:37the bench roll
26:38quite effectively
26:39and the decision
26:41makers right now
26:42for Dallas
26:43it is
26:44Matt Riccardi
26:45on the left
26:45Michael Finley
26:46on the right
26:47they are the
26:47interim co-GMs
26:49for the Mavs
26:50yeah there's such an
26:51interesting combination
26:52of course Riccardi
26:53has been around this league
26:54with many different teams
26:55I think you had some time
26:56with him in
26:56Brooklyn Bird
26:57they're coming here to
26:58Dallas
26:59a great opportunity
27:00in front of him
27:01to make some huge
27:02decisions
27:03but leaning on
27:04a former player
27:05that's also been here
27:06for over a decade
27:07and Michael Finley
27:08not only playing here
27:09but in the front office
27:10that relationship
27:11with Jason Kidd
27:12as a triumphant
27:13they have an opportunity
27:15to build around
27:16what is their future
27:17and their future
27:17is without a doubt
27:19Cooper Flash
27:20let's get a Kyrie Irving
27:21update from Cassidy
27:23yeah Dallas has been
27:24waiting on Kyrie
27:24all season
27:25after that left
27:26ACL tear
27:27back in March
27:28and while there was
27:28early hope
27:29that he'd be back
27:30around December
27:31or January
27:32the latest has been
27:33a little more cautious
27:34Jason Kidd said today
27:35at some point
27:36there'll be a timeline
27:37but right now
27:38there is none
27:39and he isn't clear
27:40to practice
27:40but he said that
27:41Kyrie wants to get back
27:42and he wants to play
27:43and he'll likely be there
27:44there'll be a scheduled
27:45post all-star break guys
27:47yeah they certainly
27:47want to see that
27:48Kyrie Cooper flag dynamic
27:50how that chemistry
27:51could develop
27:52the jump shot
27:54from Buddy Heald
27:55misses from the corner
27:56came back
27:56and made a good
27:57defensive play
27:58to knock it away
27:59from Caleb Martin
28:00while Cassidy was talking
28:01I can't believe
28:01Caleb Martin had
28:02that happened to him
28:04to go in for a dunk
28:05he just did that
28:05to Pajemski
28:06amazing
28:07chase down blocks
28:08Washington
28:09works through
28:10missed it
28:11for the offhand
28:11of Pajemski
28:12got his body in there
28:14for the rebound
28:14a minute and a half
28:15to play in the first quarter
28:17Horford steps into the three
28:18put it on the board
28:19and this is huge
28:20this is what Steve
28:21was talking to us
28:22about Steve Kerr mentioning
28:23I'm going to lean on
28:24Melton and I'm going to lean on
28:26Horford
28:26when we won't have
28:27Jimmy Butler
28:27for the rest of this way
28:28the veteran presence
28:30of these two guys
28:31to produce for us
28:32on the offensive end
28:32is going to be key
28:34Horford at year number
28:3519 in the NBA
28:37Thompson
28:37loses the ball
28:38a turnover
28:39Kaminga up the floor
28:41swing it
28:43Pajemski
28:44hard drive
28:45nice fake
28:46he ducks in
28:47for two
28:48so many players
28:49going to that
28:50Pinoy step
28:51where they slow down
28:52on that last step
28:53completely legal
28:54defense not able
28:55to catch up
28:56beautiful move
28:56by Potts
28:57Robinson
28:58Burrell is in the game
28:59for Dallas
29:00Washington
29:01knocks in
29:02a triple
29:03that ends
29:05an 8-0 run
29:06Warriors lead
29:07by three
29:08two for one
29:11here for
29:11Golden State
29:12we're down to
29:1238 seconds to play
29:14Pajemski
29:16against Williams
29:17screen
29:17swing
29:19open look
29:19Horford
29:20missed it
29:21and rebounded
29:22by Martin
29:23there's a seven
29:23second difference
29:24shot clock
29:24at the game
29:25clock
29:25Williams
29:26wasting no time
29:27from the corner
29:29Robinson
29:29Earl
29:29too strong
29:31and now Golden State
29:32can hold for one
29:34into the hands
29:34of Melton
29:36Steve Courage
29:38has had nothing
29:38but praise
29:39for DeAnthony Melton
29:40he's called
29:41the ultimate pro
29:42so coachable
29:43professional
29:44in every aspect
29:46and a foul
29:47called on
29:48Williams out front
29:49with 6.2
29:50they
29:50made the decision
29:52to
29:53pack Melton
29:54on the outside
29:55so on the side
29:57with just over
29:58six seconds to go
29:58yeah Melton
29:59the best plus minus
30:00warrior
30:01in the last 15 games
30:03I mean he's been
30:04huge in December
30:05to get Golden State
30:07into a much better
30:09positive momentum
30:10moving forward
30:11and he can do it
30:12on both ends
30:13torn ACL
30:14November of 24
30:15heel
30:16he gets to the rim
30:18but he missed it
30:19Christie
30:20three quarter court
30:21and there was contact
30:23on a heed
30:24by Christie
30:25now they're gonna check
30:26to see if there was
30:27still time on the clock
30:28Horford
30:29and Melton
30:30they're saying
30:31no no no
30:32there was a body
30:37bump right here
30:39on the extension
30:40but the contact did come
30:45with zeros on the clock
30:48red light was on
30:54Christie sold it
30:56a little bit
30:56curious if they're
30:59gonna give three
30:59three throws
31:00from three quarter
31:01it's obviously
31:01a bang bang play
31:03bones
31:04exploration of time
31:09is this a great time
31:10to talk about
31:10phase two
31:11of the referees
31:12using the headsets
31:14yeah this is real
31:15this is the
31:16the new technology
31:18for the officials
31:21with one ear
31:22covered in a headset
31:24and it's an adjustment
31:25period for them
31:26this is something
31:26different
31:27but the communication
31:28is directly
31:29to Secaucus
31:31there are conversations
31:32that are happening
31:33in real time
31:34to help the referees
31:35with efficiencies
31:36in some of the decisions
31:37that are made
31:38and hopefully
31:39that will speed up
31:40some of these incidents
31:44well the goal is
31:45to do it efficiently
31:46and to get it right
31:48and the fact that
31:49you can also get
31:50a subscription
31:50to people magazine
31:51while you're out
31:53on the court
31:54are people
31:55there's an operator
31:55hold on a second
31:57are people reading magazines
31:59they're not
31:59and it's a very
32:00it's a very dated reference
32:02I take it back
32:03strike it from the record
32:04you were telling me
32:05before the game
32:06how easy the crossword
32:07were
32:08in people magazine
32:09time had expired
32:10there was no foul
32:11to play
32:11in the period before
32:12so no foul
32:13I'm glad we had
32:14that time together
32:14we did
32:15we did
32:15that was
32:16unexpected
32:17back and forth
32:19end of one
32:21in Dallas
32:23Golden State
32:24up on the Mavericks
32:2627-24

32:41vacationing together
32:42during All-Star
32:43I went to bed
32:44dreaming of lemon

32:46just saying
32:47I am as one
32:48with lemon pepper
32:49it is the best flavor
32:51it's in my soul
32:52Stan do you hear us
32:53it's the best flavor
32:54it's the first time
32:55napkins were optimistic
32:57watching you two
32:58well we appreciate

33:02from Wingstop
33:04it was

33:06a blast
33:08we got some sauce
33:09still
33:10still
33:11you got a little
33:12let's focus on
33:13the game
33:13right there
33:14start of the second quarter
33:16Green couldn't grab it
33:17Nembhardt
33:18does
33:19and Thompson
33:20gets a clean look
33:21at a tray
33:21feet set
33:25such a quick release
33:26from Klay Thompson
33:27how many times have we
33:27seen that
33:28Nembhardt
33:31oh getting physical
33:33with heels
33:34and the scoop
33:35to the hoop
33:35goes for Ryan Nembhardt
33:38Dallas the number one
33:41team in turning
33:42turnovers into offense
33:4318 points a game
33:45for them
33:45in transition
33:46Green turns the corner
33:47post swing
33:48they give Peyton the shot
33:49they don't even contest it
33:51and he misses it
33:52from three point territory
33:54Nembhardt
33:58undrafted
33:59out of Gonzaga
34:00Mark Few
34:01the head coach
34:02told Jason Kidd
34:03you're going to love him
34:04Christy
34:05off the mark
34:06and Jason Kidd
34:08told us
34:08prior to the game
34:09he was right
34:10he loves him
34:11and he's been so helpful
34:12to Cooper Flagg
34:13obviously starting the year
34:14Cooper playing the point
34:16when Nembhardt came in
34:17Cooper's numbers
34:18they all went up
34:19off the offensive rebound
34:21post
34:21can't hit the three
34:22rebound grabbed by Powell
34:25we are tied at 29
34:26two minutes left
34:28in the second quarter
34:29I think Jason Kidd
34:30will take a one
34:31three-pointer differential
34:32with Golden State
34:32at any time
34:33especially after their
34:34first meeting
34:35Golden State
34:36lit them up
34:36from the three-point line
34:37activity there
34:39as Buddy Heal
34:40got tied up
34:41with Powell
34:42Golden State
34:43is shooting just
34:4434% from the field
34:45but Dallas
34:46has turned it over
34:47eight times
34:48in this first half
34:49flag triggers in
34:52for Powell
34:52Nembhardt
34:55from Aurora
34:57Ontario
34:57flat
34:59contact
35:00is an offensive
35:01foul
35:02Draymond Green
35:03beats
35:04Cooper Flagg
35:05into the bump
35:06I think I read
35:08Cooper's lips
35:08he said that is so
35:09soft
35:10and Draymond with a bit
35:12of an embellishment
35:12there on the drive
35:13but if we have a shot
35:15of it
35:15maybe we'll get to
35:16Cooper not happy
35:17that Draymond
35:18kind of pulling the
35:20chair on that
35:20time to get the charge
35:21Warriors trying to
35:24break the tie here
35:25with Curry
35:26against Thompson
35:27still weird to see him
35:29in this Dallas
35:30uniform
35:31against Golden State
35:32Post hits the deck
35:34Flagg saves it
35:35Curry is down
35:36and now Curry is up
35:38Thompson turns
35:39listening
35:40slap down
35:42the follow jam
35:43Flagg going to the top
35:46great timing by Cooper
35:49offensive rebound
35:50and the quick putback
35:52heel
35:53return speed
35:54Green gets hit
35:56by Powell
35:56and Draymond Green
35:58is going to the
35:59free throw line
35:59how many times
36:01in practice
36:02has Clay
36:03had to match up
36:04against Steph
36:05and this time
36:05Steph with a bit
36:06of a mishandle
36:07Cooper right on top
36:08of it
36:08man on the case
36:09gets down
36:10and then the offensive
36:11putback there
36:12flying in there
36:13great hands
36:15great timing
36:15good finish
36:17Draymond Green
36:21shooting it at
36:2268% of the free throw
36:24line this season
36:25in year number 14
36:27in the lead
36:28has one more coming
36:30have you been
36:33in a situation
36:34where you lose
36:35a player
36:36of a certain stature
36:37at midway point
36:39of the year
36:40and you just know
36:40that hey
36:41the games are going
36:41to keep on coming
36:42and nobody is going
36:43to pity you
36:43I can't remember
36:44midway bird
36:45but certainly
36:46later in the season
36:47or in a playoff run
36:48losing somebody
36:49that wasn't going to
36:50play the rest of the
36:51series
36:51and how much that
36:52impacted everybody's
36:54role
36:54and the best teams
36:55they try to find a way
36:57to just collectively
36:57better be better
36:59in what they do
37:00and what they do
37:00not doing anything more
37:01and that's where
37:02Golden State finds itself
37:03the miss by Nembhard
37:05Curry
37:05perfect pass
37:06Payton
37:07extra heel
37:08can't hit the three
37:09Green keeps it alive
37:10and it's grabbed by Thompson
37:12ahead
37:13Christie turns
37:14it's blocked by Green
37:15nearly goes in
37:17and it's Flagg
37:18on the follow
37:19Clay a little late
37:22on the delivery
37:22to Christie
37:23he took one extra
37:24dribble
37:24that allowed Draymond
37:25to get the block
37:26and Cooper
37:27man on the scene
37:28again
37:29Payton to the corner
37:30post shooting practice
37:32no
37:32rebound knocked over

37:57from the field
37:57Mavericks go up by five

38:00From the Wing
38:00presented by
38:01the great people
38:02of Wingstop
38:03well let's talk about
38:04two guys we're very
38:05familiar with
38:06behind the three-point line
38:07in the first quarter
38:08all Steph Curry
38:09three
38:09three-pointers for him
38:11nine of the starters
38:1213 points from Steph
38:14and then Clay
38:14he gets into the action
38:16he's hit two of four
38:17from the three-point line
38:18and Dallas right now
38:19with a five-point advantage
38:21and Clay Thompson
38:22fourth in NBA history
38:24and three-pointers made
38:25Golden State is getting
38:27crushed
38:28on the offensive glass
38:29Curry
38:29gets to the cuff
38:31and spins it in
38:32and finally Steph's
38:33first two-point bucket
38:34a tough lefty
38:35off the glass
38:36six offensive rebounds
38:38for Dallas
38:38that's turned into
38:39ten points
38:40Christie lines it up
38:41short
38:42Powell
38:44is running with two guys
38:45and the offensive board
38:46for the Mavs
38:48Ryan Nembhardt
38:49transferred from Creighton
38:51to Gonzaga
38:52and Green takes it away
38:53oh he goes long
38:55for Post
38:56and Christie and Thompson
38:58were back there
38:59would you call that
39:00a Post route?
39:01yeah
39:01no
39:02no
39:02Christie zigzags
39:05and Tim Burr
39:07Melton goes down
39:08Powell goes down
39:09again go back to Draymond's
39:11decision
39:11Steph is right next to him
39:12and Post is running
39:13with two guys
39:14getting back there
39:15a bad turnover
39:17for Golden State
39:18and Dallas comes right back
39:19Dallas ball
39:20so the foul gets called
39:22on Melton
39:23Curry and Green
39:25will get
39:25a breather
39:26and Melton
39:28since
39:29Pajemski is in
39:30so is
39:30Kaminga
39:31well Melton remains in there
39:35he's matched up with Thompson
39:38Flack
39:39floated
39:40he's fouled
39:41and Post can't believe it
39:43so Cooper Flack going to the

40:05for the Warriors
40:06and the Mavs
40:07I was digging around
40:09bird on some of the numbers
40:10from Cooper
40:10obviously the point totals
40:12and the rebounds
40:12the assists
40:13but just in terms of
40:15how he's getting this done
40:16look 26% of the time
40:18he's going to be playing
40:19in pick and roll
40:19he loves to get to that
40:21left hand
40:21he has made 32
40:23left-handed buckets
40:24on the season
40:25out of 99 attempts
40:26he's so devastating
40:27but the drive percentage
40:29he's going to go left
40:3064% of the time
40:31and even with teams
40:32loading up on that side
40:34he's still finding a way
40:35to be very effective
40:36he's averaging 22 points
40:37per game
40:38in the Dallas wins
40:39in the losses
40:41scoring numbers
40:42down
40:43as expected
40:4316.7
40:45Kaminga
40:46mismatch with
40:47Nembark
40:48Kaminga
40:49using his strength and size
40:51kick it out
40:51Moody keeps the ball moving
40:53Melton
40:54slashing to the rim
40:56and that was crafty
40:57really good hesitation
40:58by DeAnthony
40:59getting into the lane
41:00and just keep the Cooper
41:01out
41:01with a great shot locker
41:03off balance
41:03flag ahead
41:04Marshall the power
41:05he gets under

41:11Pajewski
41:11lob it up
41:12slow it down
41:13Kaminga
41:15high flyer
41:17great late feed

41:20and Kaminga
41:21way up there
41:22that time
41:22flag gets through
41:24the first way
41:25kick to the corner
41:25for the ball
41:26partially tipped
41:27by Horford
41:28and a foul
41:29is called
41:30on the floor
41:31it's on Kaminga
41:33the pod's in transition
41:35he knew Kaminga
41:36had slept
41:36or snuck behind
41:37to get there
41:38and you can kind of
41:40throw that thing
41:40just about anywhere
41:41for JK to get up
41:43and put it down
41:44let's go
41:45Jonathan Kaminga
41:49hadn't played
41:51since December 18th
41:53before
41:53appearing in the game
41:55the other night
41:56a jump shot
41:56doesn't go
41:57for Nembhard
41:58and this time
42:00Melton comes away
42:01with it
42:01looked like it could
42:02have been another
42:02offensive rebound
42:03for Dallas
42:04Melton crosses
42:05drives into Washington
42:06and scores
42:07second time
42:09Melton has that
42:09hesitation around the
42:10rim just to keep
42:11the timing of a
42:12shot locker off
42:13that time
42:14P.J. Washington
42:15the lean
42:16and the finish
42:17from Melton
42:18and a technical
42:19foul called
42:20on Marshall
42:22so nine points
42:24for DeAnthony Melton
42:26and Moody can
42:28tack on
42:29a point here
42:31for the Warriors
42:31and does
42:33he's a 79% shooter
42:35and it's his first
42:37scoring of the night
42:37and I
42:39I didn't see
42:40where Najee's reaction
42:42was to
42:42the previous play
42:44he caught the ire of
42:45one of the officials
42:46and Moody knocks down
42:48the free throw
42:48so Warriors now
42:50up by three
42:51we're just about

43:13tip in
43:15doesn't go for
43:16Horford
43:16trying to save it
43:17out of bounds
43:18Al frustrated with
43:19himself
43:20he had two hands
43:21the ball was right
43:21in front of the rim
43:22just couldn't squeeze
43:24the orange that time
43:24hard drive
43:27the speed
43:28of Brandon Williams
43:29he is so confident
43:31going to the hoop
43:32great athleticism
43:34and you mentioned
43:35it that burst
43:36getting by
43:37the interior part
43:38of the defense
43:39for the Warriors
43:39there's a major
43:41recruit coming out
43:42of high school
43:42went to Arizona
43:43dealt with injuries
43:45he's got a great story
43:47Moody
43:48catch and shoot
43:49bottom
43:49a three
43:50yeah Moody's had
43:53a run of some
43:54double figure games
43:55here for the Warriors
43:56just shooting
43:56really the eyes
43:58out of the basketball
43:59over the past few
44:00for Golden State
44:01averaging just under
44:0211 points per game
44:03for Steve Kerr squad

44:06Thompson
44:07one dribble
44:08and a J

44:13the box score
44:14Pajemski
44:17to the rim
44:19it's blocked
44:20by Washington
44:21he took a swipe
44:22at it
44:22and it was clean
44:23Washington
44:26end to end
44:27blocked by Moody
44:29Kaminga
44:31off to the races
44:32right down the middle
44:33and he's fouled
44:34and Kaminga
44:36looks to be okay
44:39but
44:39for a moment there
44:41bit of an awkward
44:42step right
44:43yeah he did
44:44and he might need
44:44a moment
44:45he's taking a chair
44:46on the baseline
44:47just to collect himself
44:49yeah that left foot
44:53I mean
44:53definitely
44:54a bit of a turn
44:56and you could see him
44:57a little bit ginger
44:58getting to the free-to-line
44:59so it's the drive here
45:02he takes a step
45:03yeah
45:03left ankle
45:05and then
45:06also caught
45:08Melton on the back end
45:09comingo remains in there
45:15he'll shoot his free throws
45:16extend the Golden State
45:18lead to five
45:19Christy back in
45:21comingo already
45:26with a quick
45:27nine points
45:29Jonathan Kaminga
45:33signed a two-year
45:34forty-eight and a half
45:35million dollar deal
45:36during the offseason
45:37there was a lot of
45:37speculation
45:38as to how this would
45:39play out
45:40ultimately
45:41they came to terms
45:43Mike Dunleavy
45:46GM of the Warriors
45:47will have decisions

45:52the trade deadline
45:53two weeks away

45:55Washington
45:55misses on the push
45:56and the rebound
45:58dug out of there
45:59by Moody
45:59well the curious thing
46:01for Mike is now
46:01with Jimmy Butler
46:02not being here
46:04for the rest of the year
46:05what did they do
46:05with Jonathan Kaminga
46:07whose opportunity
46:07has now
46:08opened up
46:09Melton misses badly

47:13his career
47:15with Golden State
47:15he's a Hall of Fame coach
47:17has a tremendous feel
47:19for situations
47:21for handling
47:22his players
47:23for rotations
47:25and for dealing
47:27with adversity
47:27as well
47:28I think the last thing
47:29is the most impactful
47:30one right now
47:31it's dealing with
47:32the unknown
47:33for the Warriors
47:34and for many years
47:35that no one was
47:36I'll see you in the finals
47:37he's had 14 guys
47:39that have averaged
47:39more than a quarter's
47:41worth of minutes
47:41that are playing
47:42for him this year
47:43and juggling the lineups
47:45to stay competitive
47:46in what Steph Curry
47:47you know
47:48as the career
47:48is winding down
47:49there's great concern
47:51and care
47:51around
47:52this team still competing
47:53at a high level
47:54after the Christie 3
47:56Moody couldn't answer
47:57and now Dallas
47:59with a chance
47:59to regain the lead
48:01Kling
48:02off the hesitation
48:03he just makes it look
48:05so easy
48:06Kerr
48:09wanting to see
48:11his team push it
48:12which they did
48:13but the ball
48:13was knocked out of bounds
48:14by Dallas
48:15well push it
48:16and retain possession
48:18of the ball
48:18he wanted to take care of it
48:21again Cooper
48:21on the left side
48:22Berg
48:23to the left hand
48:24the hesitation
48:25body control
48:27and there's number 33
48:28in terms of the field goals
48:30he's made
48:31with the offhand
48:327-0 run
48:33flag now has 11
48:35and that was too high
48:38for Santos
48:39turnover
48:41you mentioned it
48:44turnover troubles
48:45on the road
48:47they averaged
48:4717.7
48:49overall
48:50but still
48:507th highest
48:51in the league
48:52at 15 and a half
48:53per game
48:54and Steve Kerr
48:55recently told us
48:57hey
48:57we just didn't
48:58talk about it
48:59anymore
49:00we talked about it
49:01so much
49:02that it became
49:02a huge issue
49:04we decided not to talk
49:05about it
49:05Williams on the crossover
49:07and he is a blur
49:09again Williams speed
49:12and getting all the way
49:13into the paint
49:14where not much
49:15rim protection there
49:16for Golden State
49:16and another
49:17turnover
49:18for the Dubs
49:19and that is
49:20number 8
49:20for the Warriors
49:229-0 run
49:25for the Mavs
49:26Williams
49:27for Powell
49:28now they get
49:29flag involved
49:30doesn't take the 3
49:33instead
49:33he brings out
49:35the veteran
49:35Horford
49:36pulls up
49:37arms out
49:39it was around
49:39the world
49:40and off
49:40Majemski
49:43rushing up the floor
49:44we approach
49:452 minutes to go
49:46on the second
49:46Curry
49:47catch and fire
49:48Majemski
49:50snags it
49:51and a reload
49:53here for Golden State
49:54Santos
49:56isolation
49:57that's a kick
49:58flag
49:59and really
50:03that kind of play
50:04bird is indicative
50:05of what Golden State
50:06has to avoid
50:07just don't force
50:09plays to Steph Curry
50:10because Jimmy's not there
50:11just don't force
50:12backdoor passes
50:13that are 50-50
50:14and have another
50:15turnover
50:15they've got to be
50:16patient
50:17they've got to be
50:17poised
50:18and not rush things
50:19a court screw
50:21layup doesn't go
50:21for Green
50:22Golden State
50:23has missed
50:23its last 5 shots
50:24Williams
50:26the trailer
50:27get it back
50:27under 2 minutes
50:28to go
50:29first half
50:29flag
50:32asking Williams
50:33to move
50:34into the area
50:35they get the switch
50:36Pajemski
50:36flag into a crowd
50:38corner
50:39Christie
50:40brings it
50:41Pajemski
50:43clears it
50:44early for Curry
50:47drive
50:48dish
50:48extra
50:49Pajemski
50:50no
50:52lead feed
50:56Marshall
50:57leaves it
50:57for flag
50:58for now to a minute
51:01twenty to play in the
51:02second quarter
51:02Marshall
51:05kick
51:06corner
51:06Christie
51:07bullseye
51:08great job by
51:11Dwight Powell
51:12just holding off that
51:13screen on the box
51:14to give Christie
51:15a foot more space
51:17to let that three go
51:18and that ends
51:20a 12-0 run
51:21as Santos
51:22laces a three
51:24under a minute to play
51:26now
51:26both teams have made
51:27six field goals
51:28from the three-point line
51:29and we mentioned
51:30I think Jason Kidd
51:31would be fine with that
51:32Williams
51:35to the 10
51:37eight points
51:40instant energy
51:41off the bench
51:41for Brandon Williams
51:42and that was the toughest
51:43of the finishes
51:45he's had so far
51:4630 points
51:49in the paint
51:50for the Mavs
51:51he doesn't get the roll
51:56but he is going to the

52:29I still have nightmares

52:31up close
52:32in a lot of
52:34battles
52:34with the same
52:35and Dirk in the prime
52:37just an absolutely
52:38incredible
52:39all-time player
52:40you went somewhere else
52:42as we put that
52:42I'm zoning out on that
52:43I don't want to look away
52:45it's like
52:45looking at the sun
52:46yeah
52:47there's

54:21welcome on in
54:22I'm Taylor Rooks
54:23with Dirk Nowitzki
54:23Steve Nash
54:24Blake Griffin
54:25and Udonis Haslam
54:26four lead changes
54:27six ties
54:2823 guys played
54:29in that first half
54:30one guy that was doing
54:31a little bit of everything
54:32though
54:32was Cooper flag
54:33and he is one rebound
54:34away from a double
54:35double der
54:35yeah Cooper's been
54:36playing well
54:36he's been attacking
54:38he's best
54:39we all know
54:39in transition
54:40when he can go
54:40downhill
54:41here we have some
54:43clips of him
54:44crashing the
54:45offensive glass
54:46playing hard
54:47I mean the one thing
54:48he's a great
54:49competitor
54:49and he's best
54:51when he's downhill
54:52getting to the basket
54:53and in transition
54:53yeah he's done
54:54a great job
54:55like Dirk said
54:56my thing is
54:57you know
54:57I think we need him
54:58to take that
54:59three-point shot
54:59out here
55:00the Dallas Mavericks
55:00but if you're not
55:01comfortable with it
55:02and they're playing
55:03that far off
55:04he's so good
55:05with the ball
55:05in his hands
55:06and he can go
55:06both ways
55:07just attack that
55:08space
55:08right
55:09get downhill
55:09and you don't
55:10always have to
55:11get to the rim
55:12and score
55:12you can also
55:12create for somebody
55:13else
55:13but you can see
55:14how far
55:15Golden State's
55:16playing off of him
55:17and he did a great
55:17job in the second
55:18quarter of just
55:19nope
55:20I'm not going to
55:20take this shot
55:21attacks the gap
55:22gets all the way
55:23to the rim
55:23for a layup
55:24so that's just
55:25something he'll learn
55:26as time goes on
55:26for the Warriors
55:28UD
55:29Jonathan Cuminga
55:30went to the locker
55:31room with under
55:31four minutes left
55:32we will await
55:33an update on that
55:34before the game
55:35you said you wanted
55:36to see him be
55:36aggressive and make
55:37an impact
55:38how did he do
55:38that in the first half
55:39we saw Draymond
55:40talk about it
55:41a few weeks ago
55:42on Nightcap
55:43about how this kid
55:44prepares
55:44trust me
55:45there's no way
55:46you can go out
55:46and play the game
55:47he's playing
55:47if he doesn't
55:48stay in it
55:48prepare mentally
55:49right here
55:50he gets to his spot
55:51he's doing everything
55:52he can offensively
55:53he has ten points
55:54he's three for three
55:54from the field
55:55he's fourth and fourth
55:56on the free throw line
55:56and in the game
55:57right now
55:58when your best player
55:59Steph Curry
56:00is minus 18
56:01it's beneficial
56:02to have a guy
56:03like Cuminga
56:03be plus 18
56:04to balance that out
56:05and keep you
56:05in this game
56:06right now
56:06I'm so happy
56:07for him
56:07I'm proud of
56:08the way he's
56:08responded
56:09and I hope
56:09he's healthy
56:10and he can finish
56:10in the second half
56:11and I really
56:11like that moment
56:12with him
56:12and the young
56:13girl
56:14on court side
56:15she was like
56:15you can have
56:16my seat
56:16get some rest
56:17yeah
56:18I mean I think
56:19the Warriors
56:19gotta feel fortunate
56:21they're still
56:22in this game
56:22I mean they played
56:23poorly
56:2334% from the field
56:2424 from three
56:25they got up
56:2625 threes
56:27only made six
56:27and then getting
56:28beat 10-0
56:28on the offensive
56:29second chance points
56:31so you know
56:32we've seen the Warriors
56:33in this position
56:33win a ton of games
56:34but tonight
56:35they haven't shown
56:36a lot that they're
56:36gonna come back
56:37and play well
56:37yeah the Warriors
56:38came into tonight
56:39with a 4-11 record
56:40when they shoot
56:40below 30% from three
56:42they shot 6 for 25
56:44from three
56:44in the first half
56:45that is good
56:46for 24%
56:47so got some ground
56:48to make up
56:49all right
56:49it is time

56:57great core connection
56:59there
56:59did he turn around
57:01oh he did
57:01oh he did
57:02I didn't see
57:03he leads
57:07Steph Curry impression
57:08let him know
57:11you still got it
57:12Derrick
57:12that's why I worried

57:30LeBron and the Lakers
57:32looking for their
57:32third win in a row
57:33against the Clippers
57:34who have won 13
57:36out of their last 16
57:38and there's some
57:39great news
57:40for Clippers fans
57:41Chris Haynes
57:42reporting that
57:42Kawhi Leonard
57:43will play tonight
57:44in the second game
57:46of our doubleheader
57:47and that is a
57:48welcome sign
57:49for Clippers fans
57:49Steve
57:50well that's exciting
57:51for me
57:51and Clippers fans
57:52because I'd much
57:54rather see the
57:55Clippers play
57:55with Kawhi Leonard
57:56I think that 13-3
57:57stretch they had
57:58is a large part
57:59because of Kawhi Leonard
58:00to no surprise
58:01but I think some
58:02of their young guys
58:03have played well
58:03as well
58:03yeah I think
58:04you know
58:05their young guys
58:06have come in
58:06and just been
58:06been bodies
58:07right
58:07I think they're
58:08a much older team
58:10they've given
58:12the chance
58:12to you know
58:13log down defensively
58:14but you're right
58:15when Kawhi is like
58:16this
58:16they're a different
58:17team
58:18and James Harden
58:18has had a great
58:19season
58:19hasn't shot the
58:21three as well
58:21but he's always
58:22just in control
58:23of the flow
58:23of the game
58:24and Zubak's back
58:25big Zubak there
58:26and to me
58:27that's your favorite
58:28center favorite
58:28center
58:28he's so underrated
58:29what he does
58:30he guards the
58:30rim
58:31he rebounds
58:32he finishes
58:33at a high rate
58:34at the basket
58:35so having him
58:36back definitely
58:36helps
58:36yeah LA
58:37versus LA
