00:00When AC Milan called me, it was a very special moment for me and for my family because every
00:12player or every football fan knows AC Milan because of its history or the legends. At the
00:20same moment I was proud, happy and ready because it's a special thing for me, for my family,
00:27for my friends. I was ready to come here and I decided very fast if I want to come here
00:33or not. It's a very big thing for me because now I'm living alone and it's very good for
00:39me. When I came here it was another world for me because I only knew Milanello in Schalke
00:47and it's very nice here. It's a very big building and I feel good here. I started playing football
01:00when I was five years old in a small city. Later, in 2014, I joined Schalke. I was for 11 years
01:10there, which shaped me a lot as a player and as a person. It was a very good time because
01:16I was born in Gelsenkirchen. It's a city from Schalke, so it was very close to my house. I
01:24drove maybe 10 minutes for training and I learned a lot. I learned discipline, to work hard. I
01:31learned mentality and to compete on a high level. For example, Malik Chau and me, we had
01:39the same coach in the under-19. I played 11 years there and I played very good, I think.
01:47I played in every season and I had moments which were not that good. For example, injuries. In
01:57the under-17 and under-19, I was injured for more than half a season. If I look back, it
02:06was good for me because it made me mentally stronger and I focused more on taking care about
02:15my body. In the under-18, I was nominated for the first time for the national team of Turkey.
02:23It was a very special moment for me and my family, too. It was a very nice time.
02:29My parents were born in Turkey and I was born in Germany, so I'm both. I'm Turkish and German,
02:37and so I can decide if I want to play for Turkey or for Germany. I decided for Turkey because my
02:45parents are Turkish and it was especially for my parents very special when I played for the first time.
02:53Zlatan Iran, which is our generation, so it was very nice to watch. And yeah, so the legends like
03:02Hullet, Maldini, it was crazy when we saw the videos, especially Ronaldinho. It was very nice to watch how he played football.
03:13So when we watch YouTube videos or something. In Milan Futuro, every player has the same goal to grow up and
03:21to go to the first team to get the maximum out of my career. So this is the goal to develop, to be better,
03:30better, better and to get better. And of course, it's a dream to play San Siro. But I think every player has the same dream
03:37and everybody knows that we have to work hard. And yeah, but it's a dream which is possible. So we have to work
03:45and to work harder and harder.
