Interview with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar
Transcript
00:00Yeah, it's definitely a line we, we, we, it's tightrope we, we balance on.
00:04I think season one had its moments of horror in terms of like, you know,
00:08we were thinking about the first episode where Rowan is, is, is murdered right in front of, by the hide.
00:14But, you know, we have definitely some more moments in this season and we have a zombie who's eating brains.
00:19So I think organically it felt we needed to go there in terms of that.
00:23And we have this moment in episode two with the birds in Galpin's house, which is a homage to birds.
00:30But it's, it's, you know, we're a huge horror fan.
00:33So it's something that feels very natural to us and feels, you know, as Wednesday grows up,
00:37the show should grow up a little bit, but hopefully it's not so, so scary that, you know,
00:45kids will, you know, be screaming and have nightmares for the rest of their lives and be traumatized.
00:49But it's sort of hopefully moments where they can cover their eyes and, and it's safe.
00:54I mean, I think the show for us is always, it's, we always see it as a comedy.
00:59And I think it's, it may be a bit scary and have more horror, but it's also funnier this season.
01:04So those are sort of like horror and comedy definitely go together.
01:07And that's something that it's a weird marriage, but it's true.
01:10Yeah.
