00:08Before she was an attorney, outspoken Fox News host, advisor to President Donald Trump
00:12ā or Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend ā Guilfoyle had humble, middle-class beginnings.
00:17Growing up in the Mission District of San Francisco, California, with an Irish father
00:21and a Puerto Rican mother, there was nothing Guilfoyle couldn't do.
00:25As she told SFGate in 2001,
00:27I remember feeling safe and happy, and like there was nothing in the world a boy could
00:32do that a little girl couldn't, and that has carried over all my life."
00:36Today, it seems there's nothing the hungry-eyed Guilfoyle hasn't done.
00:40She graduated magna cum laude from UC Davis and received her law degree from the University
00:45of San Francisco.
00:46Guilfoyle even modeled for Macy's Aunt Victoria's Secret while nabbing that advanced degree.
00:51In reminiscing about her modeling days, Guilfoyle told Cosmopolitan,
00:54I was able to meet a tremendous number of interesting people through modeling, and I really learned
00:59a lot about self-confidence and self-esteem."
01:01However, the prosecutor didn't gain public notoriety until she married would-be mayor and current
01:07California governor Gavin Newsom in 2001, becoming the first lady of San Francisco.
01:12While the couple split just four years later as Guilfoyle opted to pursue her career in
01:16television, she soon became a Fox News mainstay, appearing on multiple shows, including The Five.
01:22And in 2018, she started dating Donald Trump Jr.
01:25But how did this former on-air personality transform from rookie lawyer to rising Republican
01:30figurehead?
01:31Well, if you look at photographs from her past and present, it's easy to see that Kimberly
01:36Guilfoyle's rise to fame has changed both her appearance and energy.
01:40Just look at how her style has evolved between 2007 and 2020.
01:44She might have started her career as the Los Angeles deputy district attorney, but Guilfoyle
01:48clearly emerged from behind her metaphorical curtain as she literally took center stage
01:53at the 2020 Republican National Convention to deliver her impassioned speech in support
01:58of President Donald Trump's reelection campaign.
02:01Guilfoyle's RNC speech, in fact, was likely her most notable political moment to date.
02:06Her intense six-minute oration garnered plenty of buzz, especially for its conclusion.
02:11While throwing her hands in the air and punctuating each word, Guilfoyle shouted,
02:15"...Ladies and gentlemen, leaders and fighters for freedom and liberty and the American dream,
02:23the best is yet to come!"
02:27For the driven Guilfoyle, that last statement might also apply to her professional life.
02:32But in the meantime, Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend isn't letting the haters bother her.
02:36As Guilfoyle told Mediaite in 2015,
02:38We're sure this isn't the last time Guilfoyle will make a splash on the national stage.
02:53Although her public persona is fiery and fashion-forward, like the fact that she once admitted having
02:58500 pairs of shoes, Guilfoyle is way more low-key behind-the-scenes, especially as a mom.
03:04After divorcing from Newsom in 2005, Guilfoyle wed interior design mogul Eric Valenci.
03:10Though the second marriage didn't work out, either.
03:12With the pair splitting in 2009, they co-parent son Ronan Anthony Valenci together.
03:17And when Guilfoyle is with her son, she dresses way more casually.
03:21She also appears to tone down her makeup, opting for less lip gloss and mascara, as well
03:25as forgoing waves in her hair.
03:27Not only is Guilfoyle's fashion more chill when she's at home, but she also seems to showcase
03:31a softer side than her onstage image.
03:34In May of 2020, Guilfoyle wrote on Instagram,
03:36I'm thinking about how blessed I am and lucky that God gave me my greatest treasure, you Ronan.
03:42She's even on good terms with her ex-husband, calling Valenci a, quote, great father on
03:47the platform.
03:48As for Kimberly's parenting skills, one of her friends had this to say to Metropolitan
03:52Magazine,
03:53Kimberly is loyal, generous, and an amazing mom.
03:56Ronan is so sweet-natured, and he really looks up to his mother and father.
03:59Now that Donald Trump Jr. is in the picture, appearing in snaps with Guilfoyle and her son,
04:04a blended Trump family may be in the works.
