Shadow Cabinet Minister Alex Burghart says that it's "very important that your honest and firm with your friends", and that US threats to annex Greenland are "entirely wrong". 00:00It's very important that you're honest and firm with your friends.
00:04And what the Conservative Party thinks is that what America is currently saying about Greenland is entirely wrong.
00:13But what really needs to be happening at the moment, and what I'm disappointed hasn't yet happened,
00:18is I think we need to have a full meeting of NATO because there's clearly a very serious point of contention.
00:24And if this goes wrong, we might end up in a situation where America leaves NATO and NATO effectively becomes redundant.
00:32And that will be incredibly dangerous because in those circumstances, it's very likely that Putin will win in Ukraine.
00:38And you will then, in quite short order, have a very large mobilized Russian army on the borders of Europe with no American backing.
00:48And that's scary.
00:49So let's get everybody around the table and let's start having serious conversations.
