01:04:20I would like to read you a prepared statement.
01:04:22If you recall one month ago,
01:04:24as a result of her actions at Bash at the Beach,
01:04:28Sherry Martell was fined $25,000 by this office.
01:04:32The fine was paid by Mr. Ric Flair,
01:04:34and she was allowed to continue in her present capacity at ringside.
01:04:38However, I am not delighted to be bringing you the following announcement.
01:04:42Recently, during a rematch between Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair at the Clash of the Champions.
01:04:48Flair's actions during the match jeopardized the career of WCW champion Hulk Hogan
01:04:54and made a shambles of WCW world title bout.
01:04:58Based on those actions, and on the many previous actions of Mr. Flair and Sherry Martell,
01:05:04I must announce that they have finally stepped over the boundary.
01:05:08Beginning August 27, 1994, Ric Flair is suspended indefinitely from competing in world championship wrestling in the continental United States.
01:05:18Let me also say that this suspension applies to Sherry Martell as well.
01:05:25She will not be allowed at ringside during any match in the USA.
01:05:30For the past months, I have let the rulebook slide.
01:05:34This will not be the case anymore.
01:05:36Mr. Flair thinks money can buy anything, as he quickly paid the previous fine for Ms. Martell.
01:05:43However, Ric Flair will not buy his way out of this.
01:05:47There is not enough money in the world to dictate the policies set forth by WCW Championship Committee.
01:05:55I only want to say that as a former competitor, I understand and I regret the decision that I've had to make.
