00:01:47In the middle of the 19th century, Moses Hess formulated the first written principles of
00:02:11communism. In 1862, Hess wrote the book Rome and Jerusalem, in which he laid the
00:02:22foundations for a Jewish nationalist movement called Zionism. In the book he called on the
00:02:30Jewish people to become separatists and to prepare for the creation of a future homogenous
00:02:36Jewish ethnostate. Palestine would be occupied by the Jewish people, but the big problem was
