00:00Welcome back to Warriors pregame live presented by Comcast Business. Look at 2022 NBA champion Andrew Wiggins averaged nearly 17 points per game in part of six seasons with the Golden State Warriors. Now he's balling for the Miami Heat having a good run averaging 16 points a game this season shooting 40 from the three point line 47 from the floor. Here's what his former coach Steve Kerr had to say about two way wigs.
00:22He's just a really good player. He was a good player before we got him and obviously helped us win a championship in 22 and and he's you know he's a guy who is not afraid of the moment and he will rise up and shoot at any time and
00:44so biggest thing for us tonight honestly is welcome hang welcoming him back you know for the first time since the trade so it'll be emotional. He meant a lot to us and our fans and so we're excited to see him.
01:02The two way player of course coming back to chase it for the first time as a member of the Miami Heat obviously traded last year for Jimmy Butler but Fezzi fell we can't forget what he did in that season when they won their fourth championship in nine seasons 21-22 the dunk over Luka Doncic the two way play the finals play against Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown he was a really good warrior.
01:23Yeah Andrew Wiggins from he's always been a scorer he was always a scorer from the first time he came to the league first first pick in the NBA draft so there's always that talent when he came to the Warriors he showed us a different part to his game not only was he more efficient being here offensively he has the total package offensively at six nine he can score from the post he can shoot the three three ball he can handle the rock actually playing a little bit of point forward he can dunk on your head with that athleticism what I saw was a defensive ability he became too
01:53two way Wiggs and while he was here matter of fact one of the biggest reasons the Warriors were able to win a championship in 2022 was the player of Andrew Wiggins the fact that you could put him on the best offensive player of the other team players during each series you saw him on Luka Doncic you saw him on different players and Wiggs was able to do that what I loved about his return tonight is watching all the guys surround Wiggs on the floor you could tell that people just love him people gravitate towards Andrew Wiggins and he was just an incredible asset on the court but even more off the court yeah
02:22tremendous play he's had a great career and highlighted with his champion championship here with the Warriors as you stated Fest is a great two-way play was always guarding the opposition's best scorer no matter what position he played did a great job came up huge offensively but I think what's understated is the way he just fit in from day one he's got a very understated personality quiet you know quiet demeanor
02:46but but but a big time competitor and he's always ready to play he missed very few games he always shows up to play I enjoyed watching him and I love the way he carries himself Wiggs has hit five game winners this year for the Miami Heat so all the kumbaya is cool but don't let him have those late game shots
03:06you're right he's been really good at crunch time making 22 and 39 in the fourth quarter there as we go to the cross lover to the gentleman calling the action as always Bob Fitzgerald and Kalina Azebuki and we're talking before we got him on camera keep the good times rolling to make Mully look like a smart player for once or a smart analyst Warriors he said they were going to go seven and one on his homestand so far five and one but this will be difficult on the front end of a back-to-back no Draymond Green no Guy Santos and no D'Anthony Mountain how did they get this done tonight Fitz
03:35well I tell you what you guys don't know normally when the words get in the huddle they break and they say just us but right now they're going Mully because they want to be seven and one on this homestand so they're trying to get it done but you just ask the biggest question because I think with Bam out of bio are you guarding him as Festus going to guard him like you don't have Draymond you don't have Guy Santos is it Trace Jackson Davis and post do you slide Jimmy on Bam how do you deal with him he's a matchup nightmare it's going to be
04:05a little bit of everybody throw different bodies at him you may see quit and post on him at times and he'll try to use his quickness against him but Mully this heat team speaking of Bam out of bio they can be a little unorthodox at times you'll see some zone they'll switch a lot and Bam out of bio will switch on to the perimeter so what do you want to see against the zone or against the switching defense where you're trying to get under the guy you're screening and roll to the basket slip out of it you can get a little nuance there Mully yeah historically Fitz and Bukinami here played maybe more
04:35more zone possessions than anyone in the league and offensively you got to get the ball to the nail get the ball to the nail to your playmaker and attack that thing get into the paint kick out for open shots this heat seems very different from what we're used to seeing Eric Sposher made a big chain one of the fastest paced teams in the league and they got a deep bench so if you're going to play fast you need a deep bench the Warriors got the third best bench in the league the Heat have the sixth and we know some guys are not playing on the Warriors bench tonight so other guys have to step
05:03up you know Festus the way Charlotte guarded Steph with nine guys around him all the time when he went to get out of his car walked in the building there were four guys guarding him Davion Mitchell will guard Steph that way but I think against Charlotte Steph could give up the ball I think Steph has to have a huge game tonight Festus even though it's Davion Mitchell can Curry just say I don't have Draymond I don't have Melton it's my time to go for 30 or 40 tonight
05:33any night against anybody but what I've loved over the past few games is that the bench and the role players have been aggressive when Steph has that much attention which Steph is always going to get attention he's always going to get double teamed and sometimes triple teams because even two guys might not be enough when he has that much attention somebody's open so moving the basketball taking care of the basketball is first and paramount because you don't want to let them get those easy layups on the other end but taking care of the basketball moving it getting to the open guy getting layups
06:03it puts a lot of pressure now on Brandon Pajemski to be that off ball handler and come into the game and really get Steph off the ball where he's also dangerous
06:10all right
06:10the Warriors looking for some payback here over the next two games against Miami and Toronto should be going inside the chase center tonight as we send it back to the lazy boy broadcast booth
06:19Fitz Buki have a great call tonight
06:21yeah we're having fun with the homestand being five and one but I do think this is the biggest challenge not having Draymond Green against BAM not having D'Anthony Melton and not having Guy Santos
06:32these are three of the nine best Warriors and you're playing a Miami team that just beat OKC
06:38true that the revenge portion of your homestand recommences but it's going to be hard tonight because of all those reasons you said Warriors have been playing so well and you get a team coming in off of a really nice win that plays super fast
06:51I know the Warriors have struggled against teams that play super fast they're number one when it comes to transition frequency so Warriors got to make sure they get back handle that balance between crashing and getting back
07:02yeah and it's not just a nice week or a nice homestand for the Dubs they're eleven and four in their last fifteen games the defense has been solid most of the year but Kay here comes the offense this is how you're eleven and four shots start going in this is what you envisioned when you watch the Warriors earlier in the season what are they going to be like when they're actually playing well offensively the turnovers are down they're playing so well together the bench has been unbelievable yeah and you're definitely going to need that tonight
07:32one of the best bench point teams in the league to the Heat are so you're missing some guys need all hands on deck everybody that's playing has to play well yeah and we kind of looked at okay the Warriors take the most threes in the NBA what if they started making a lot of them in the last three games our Xfinity powerful performance they're chucking up a bunch of threes and they're all going in it's about how you get them always high percentage shots can you break the paint make the defense work kick it out
08:02a walking high percentage he can shoot any three ball he wants but everybody else move it around really make the defense work multiple efforts for them you get the ball in the paint you change sides of the floor you're going to get open looks that way the Warriors want to keep doing that and the Warriors go against Eric Spolstra the two most experienced coaches in the NBA and Steve Kerr and Spolstra the Heat have always bothered the Warriors and they have two guys that can take over a game and you better stop either Norman Powell or
08:32BAM out of bio and without Melton and without Draymond someone's got to guard these guys Norman Powell is pretty multifaceted you can feel like you have him hemmed up for a lot of the game and he'll make an adjustment and burst out on you like he did the last time we saw this team and BAM out of bio matchup nightmare he does a lot Swiss Army knife with that size with that agility can move his feet he'll switch out onto you he's the reason they're so
09:02zone and they can do all these different things and give you problems so you got a lot to think about tonight you got a revisit of a trade that really helped both teams about a year ago but you had Jimmy Butler six years with Miami fantastic player with the Dubs he's fantastic and then Andrew Wiggins helped the Warriors win a title six years with the Warriors he's the best three point shooter in the fourth quarter in the NBA so Wiggins and Jimmy the Heat the Dubs and Botte and the crew back at the
09:32the gatehouse coming up next Warrior basketball on NBC Sports Bay Area is brought to you by Toyota class leading MPG and more hybrid models than any other brand Toyota let's go places by Jack in the box Jack's bringing back his classic chicken supreme now on a meal starting
10:02at 549 and by the Bay Area BMW centers in attendance will receive a Jamon Green Michigan State University bobblehead January 30th against his hometown team the Detroit Pistons so you know a lot of people will be lined up for that bobblehead right there go ahead check it out there it is look at Will Richard with the new do I come back from Seattle he's got a new cut what's going on with this young man but he's going to get to start tonight
10:31his 15th start of the season and Mully I think you made a great point he's going to be in one of those quarters against Miami as a shooter to try to get him out that zone yeah get get Will Richard deep corner and I can see Festa Sabante Jimmy Butler trailing to break some like Draymond handling the ball on the top of the floor who's who's Miami going to put on him if they do show zone I like Jimmy Butler at the now turning facing and attacking
10:58all right Draymond you got to keep the pace tonight right yeah I mean that's going to be you got to be the more aggressive team
11:06Draymond's bobblehead is going to be huge here it's going big at Michigan State who's got to be who's got to have a big night tonight
11:14Steph Will Richard Jimmy the whole team got to play good team basketball trying to impress
11:20that's what you're doing I'm trying I'm probably feeling like remember last time Jim or excuse me last season when Jimmy Butler was on when he got traded to go to State Warriors and Miami Heat used Bam out of bio to defend him
11:34so yeah yes um but they got to put some length on on Jimmy Butler but you just really got to take care of the ball that's the biggest thing and I punished them for putting so much pressure on Steph Curry
11:43tonight Wiggins versus Butler oh I like that match up there I like it a lot as the Warriors get ready to roll front end of a back-to-back for the doves they'll take on the heat enjoy the first half everybody
11:52A special day around the Bay the NBA and the USA commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday with the heat and the Warriors to run the game
12:21and the Warriors to wrap it up with the doves 5-1 in this homestand 11-4 in their last 15 against a team that traditionally bothers them
12:30yes this could be difficult happy MLK day everybody the Warriors have their hands full because this is the fastest paced team in the league you've got to get back transition defense is going to be so important
12:44Bam out of bio is in the middle of everything they do dealing with their switching defense
12:50and their zone and how they can get unorthodox on you can you get up under the guy that wants to switch on to you and screen him can you slip out of some screens can you get creative can you drive by people can you hit the middle of the zone play out of that get your threes up and then taking care of the ball it's really interesting they went from 14th in opponent turnovers last time we saw this team
13:13they're fourth now they're forcing so many more turnovers than they used to so you have to take care of the ball in the first quarter
13:20the heat are spectacular and the doves they're slow starters and now the last six games Warriors have been different but you don't have Draymond you don't have Melton you don't have Guy Santos so the matchups defensively are going to be a problem but getting off to a good start so you're not in that trail position against Miami is also equally important
13:40oh it's so true in the bench battle I'm going to be watching that tonight just because the Warriors got to keep their bench production up they've been playing so well off the bench but this Heat team they get a lot of production off their bench too they're sixth in bench points they defend at a high level off their bench they're a pretty good shooting team all the way around so there's a lot you're thinking about tonight but man you said it getting off to a great start see if you can punch first how about that
14:05Jimmy Butler against his former team Andrew Wiggins against his former team
14:14the Warriors first possession so without Draymond you've got Steph Curry with Moses Moody Will Richard Jimmy Butler and Quinton Post
14:24played 30 minutes the other night against Charlotte Davion Mitchell is an excellent defender he is there to bother Steph all night
14:34mid-range fade and he Butler the rebound trying to bank it home Quinton Post a third opportunity no he fouled as he pushed off
14:42Wiggins was on and trying to box him out he had the right idea and again it's the switching defense he had Davion Mitchell switch on to Jimmy Butler and he tried to get one up that's how he got the rebound and the Warriors are getting their crash rate up early you just don't want to do too much Davion Mitchell with Norman Powell
14:57Pelo Larson Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo
15:01Bam has been rolling the last three but he throws that away
15:05Jimmy Butler's great steal
15:07Steph and Larson get a piece of that
15:11No they're gonna say Curry just threw it into the backcourt
15:15Larson was just there to contest and he caught Steph off guard clearly so that's one turnover
15:21you want to limit that as much as possible because Spoh has his guys playing well well they only had four turnovers against OKC
15:28the Miami Heat four turnovers in an entire NBA game
15:31against a team that forces the most turnovers
15:34Abayo has been shooting threes 13 in his last 23
15:38Richard there and Will Richard blocking Larson from behind
15:41and then Richard three
15:43here comes Roman Powell
15:45Powell coming over from the Clippers
15:47he's out of the 23 again great three point shooter but
15:51Larson couldn't follow that in and then tipped in by Andrew Wiggins
15:55they're getting on the glass too
15:56Rudy after a main basket had it blocked
15:58this is the fast pace that he wants can you play with it
16:01and you attack when you get a chance and get back with him
16:03and you attack when you get a chance and get back with him
16:05and you attack when you get a chance and get back with him
16:09and you attack when you get a chance and get back when they're running
16:13Arson inside and Cory will pick up the foul
16:16and that pump fake worked and had inside position there
16:20he's just going to power up on Steph because he is smaller
16:23he's got the power advantage there but
16:25this Heat team it's really interesting on the road
16:27they've kind of struggled especially this month
16:30their last in offensive efficiency on the road
16:32one of the reasons is because they haven't gotten to the frequent line at all
16:36that's on the road
16:37and so it's a good sign for Spolster to see Larson at the prequel lines
16:41he makes the first one
16:43USF and Gonzaga coming to Chase Center
16:45that'll be on Wednesday February 18th
16:47all the tickets available now at ChaseCenter.com
16:51but you're always worried when you see a team isn't doing something well
16:53like not having road games that means
16:55well they could be due you don't want to let that happen on you
16:58I think the Heat are looking at the Warriors three point shooting the last three games
17:03and saying you have to defend that three
17:05Steph
17:07hop back on there
17:09post with another opportunity
17:11so the Doves start 0 for 5 here
17:13that ball kicked
17:16but you saw how Adebayo switched on to Steph
17:19and they'll do that so much
17:20and Adebayo they're just comfortable with him on the perimeter
17:22he bothered Steph a little bit there
17:24contested as well as he could
17:26and the three ball is always going to be a big part of these games
17:29Warriors shoot the most
17:31and their three point shooting percentage has come up
17:33and the Heat are actually eight the three point shooting percentage
17:35so they're not too shabby
17:36and the Heat are fourth best defending the three
17:39and Warriors defended three ball too
17:41so some has got to give
17:42it's going to be a lob
17:43and Jimmy
17:44Smartly just came down and then went back up with it
17:46and how about the decision making from Quinton Pulse
17:48that's why they love him out there
17:50the three ball eventually is going to start falling for him
17:52but he's making great decisions playing great basketball
17:54Post left his feet there and has already picked up two fouls
18:00and I will ask the same thing
18:02who's going to guard Bam?
18:03This is what you were mentioning before the game
18:05so you see the late switch there
18:07you saw how Dave Mitchell tried to fight over the screen
18:09now he's on the wrong side
18:10they had to get someone else over there and help
18:12so Quinton Post did the right thing when that next defender came over there
18:15but it is going to be Quinton Post at times
18:18because it just has to be that way
18:20and Bam Adebayo has that quickness advantage
18:24he has the know-how
18:25he's one of those guys that really studies the game
18:28he knows exactly who he's going against
18:30what he can use against him
18:31because he's got so many physical tools
18:33alright you see the season numbers for Bam
18:35but the last three
18:36twenty-seven, eight rebounds, four assists
18:39fifty percent from the field
18:41and thirteen of twenty-three on threes
18:44and that's what I'm saying
18:45don't sleep on his three ball from the corners
18:47he loves those corners
18:49so just as Kalina said
18:51hey the Heat aren't getting to the line
18:52they already have four free throws
18:56that is always the way it works
18:58right
18:59and then Quinton Post and Moody
19:01not able to connect on that
19:03so very ugly beginning for the Warriors offensively
19:06one of the better defensive teams in the league
19:08one of the most physical ones
19:09Moody
19:10he misses it
19:11he just takes it from Davion Mitchell
19:16the man never left his feet
19:18Jimmy Butler had to earn that
19:20and it just takes a discipline defender
19:22to not buy the pump fake
19:23but you have to expect that
19:25expect them to get back
19:26be right on you
19:27you gotta have your entire repertoire on display
19:30because his team
19:31they're back
19:32and he's shooting threes
19:34I know he's been hot lately
19:35but you can live with that
19:36as opposed to him taking quick post
19:38to the side
19:39he was supposed to have the two fouls
19:41QP for three
19:42and he can hurt you out there
19:44okay
19:45well QP starts hitting that three ball again
19:47and opens everything up to the Warriors even more
19:49two good defensive teams
19:54two well coached teams
19:56two very deep teams
19:58with no call with that collision between Larson and Steph
20:03it was not a block and it was not a charge
20:06and that was incidental versus illegal contact
20:10post missing the turnaround
20:12I love that though
20:13just dribble into a post up
20:14take the bull by the horn
20:15got a hand on that one
20:16be like Davion Mitchell
20:17I'm so small
20:18Wiggins for three
20:20good post easiest rebound of the night
20:25let it mention Miami's tempo
20:27and you can feel it
20:28and he's butt firing right to the rim
20:31you can score early offense too
20:35you don't have to use the whole shot clock
20:37if you see awkward close out happening
20:39your man is not in good position like
20:41the amount of bio was it
20:42you gotta take advantage
20:43Kyle can score at every level
20:44you get respected at the three point line
20:46and he's able to put it on the deck
20:48and get all the way home
20:50Steph
20:51step back
20:52on fire there
20:54you can see Steph is hunting shots though
20:56he wants to have a big offensive night
20:58big score tonight
21:00they're gonna need him tonight
21:01because Melody's coming out 24
21:03not playing
21:04Draymond's been great
21:05on the homestand not playing
21:07and DeSantos gets you a lot of possessions
21:09not playing
21:10man missing there
21:19Moody for three
21:20Moses
21:22did not hit that
21:23that went off the neck
21:24that looked weird right
21:25now Wiggins
21:27will draw the blocking foul
21:28lay it up and in
21:30he sidestepped him
21:31and I've always said
21:32it's really hard to draw a charge
21:34in that situation
21:35look guys
21:36Euro stepping around you
21:37Andrew Wiggins has those sidesteps
21:39we know those well
21:40we've seen him
21:41here when he was with the Warriors
21:43attacking people like this
21:44that is a really nice
21:46Euro step
21:47and it's just
21:48one of the moves you have to have
21:49in your arsenal
21:50especially if you're a guard
21:51but
21:52Biggs are getting it too
21:53you have the open guard
21:54remember D-Wade used to do it a bunch
21:56he used to do it out
21:57pick and rolls
21:58any time he could
22:00and transition open court
22:02so
22:03all these Wiggins have
22:04every game now
22:05so GP2 in
22:07and as small as the Warriors
22:08are going to be tonight
22:09Gary and Moody
22:11along with Bajemski and others
22:12have to have a game
22:13and how about Bajemski
22:14putting it in
22:15and drawing the foul
22:17the Warriors are getting
22:18attention about pushing it
22:19themselves
22:20throw it up the floor
22:21and lets someone attack
22:23and you kind of have
22:25Larson in a bad way
22:27he's backing up
22:28he doesn't have you square
22:29oh flex on him too
22:30little flex action
22:32and power up
22:33that is powerful
22:34that is an appropriate flex
22:36well I think you hit on it
22:38before the defense
22:39don't wait for the heat
22:40to get set defensively
22:41because Bolster then can
22:42go zone
22:43and all these other exotic things
22:44that Miami does
22:45it's smart
22:47Bajemski completes a 3 point play
22:50he's just got so much know-how right now
23:02he will be a free agent at the end of the year
23:04and he will be coveted
23:05and Bajemski off back iron
23:07first action for Trace Jackson Davis
23:09in
23:10Bajemski super paid
23:13and Amaya's got Bajemski on a switch
23:16Steph came to double
23:17Larson on the baseline
23:19Bajemski if you're going to double from there
23:21he came off of Larson
23:22you got to get the rotation
23:23a little earlier than that
23:26Steve Kerr going to use the timeout
23:28this is going to be a challenge tonight
23:31he's going to hang in there
23:32find a way to be there when it matters
23:39our Kaiser Permanente
23:41teamwork in action
23:42turnovers
23:43we've talked about them a lot this year
23:45but since January 5th
23:48the Warriors the fourth fewest turnovers in the NBA
23:51and then all the rest of the offense has come along for the ride
23:54because they're taking care of the basketball
23:56they're taking their time when they need to
23:58even in some of these clips
24:00you'll see the Warriors pivot
24:01kind of showing the ball at times
24:03or pumping here and there
24:05fake high, go low, vice versa
24:07but then at times the decision is clear
24:10and the advantage is there
24:12and you make the right pass when that happens
24:14the decision is clear for the
24:16all-star starters in Los Angeles
24:18no arguments
24:19Mr. Curry is going to start one more time
24:22I think it's a pretty good list
24:25look at the talent in the NBA right now
24:27oh man
24:28the NBA is in a great place
24:30good to see Jalen Brown get those starter votes
24:33he deserves it
24:34he deserves it
24:35Katie Cunningham
24:36man
24:37he has been a menace
24:38Detroit's winning
24:39incredible
24:40yeah
24:41staff
24:43after the top out
24:44and he's very open for three
24:46that'll work
24:47they just weren't ready to defend
24:48Coach Spoelstra Turner
24:49he is frustrated with that
24:52he's going to sub somebody in
24:54I mean Jaquez Jr. his first playing time
24:57I can't see
25:02James Jackson Davis making sure to get all the way to the rim
25:05shot
25:06block at five
25:07Wiggins
25:08will be foul shooting at three
25:09and Steph commits the foul
25:11Steph is shaking his head
25:12he's got a smile on Andrew Wiggins
25:14Andrew Wiggins
25:15hit that game winner against OKC
25:17in their last one
25:18that was big
25:19they trust him to shoot those
25:21he's been shooting it well all season
25:23forty percent from three point range
25:25but you never want to do this
25:26Steph is just a little too close there
25:31you're just trying to contest as well as you can
25:33probably
25:36it's terrible on about three fronts
25:38yes
25:39it's three free throws
25:41it's the second foul on Steph
25:43and it's just a play that
25:45a veteran player should never do
25:48he's not going to block that three from Wiggins
25:50and so there's no percentage in that play at all
25:52but he didn't jump
25:54I thought he had the right idea there
25:57he just got a little too close to him there
25:59and Andrew Wiggins made sure he sold it
26:02but I love the video tribute they gave Andrew Wiggins to start this game
26:07it's so well deserved he was a key part of that run in 2022
26:11and the Warriors caught fire
26:13he was the second best player for the Warriors
26:14all through the playoffs
26:16both ends of the court 2-8
26:18he led the team in three point shooting that year
26:22more than Steph
26:24more than Clay
26:25more than Jordan Poole
26:26Andrew Wiggins
26:28in the 22 championship season
26:29with the highest three point shooting
26:30and he might have led the team in smiles that year
26:32and he might have led the team in smiles that year
26:33and he might have led the team in smiles that year
26:34and Jackson Davis is fouled
26:36and he's passing on the interior for the Dubs
26:39again the Warriors exploiting these switches
26:41sometimes the heat will switch late
26:44the guy who's switching on to the roller
26:46which is GP2 there fighting over the top
26:48then tries to switch on to him
26:50and then GP2 can make the decision there
26:53the great thing about what the Warriors are doing offensively
26:55they've been playing so well
26:56a lot of the positions are interchangeable
26:58and so the Warriors have a lot of great decision makers
27:01a lot of guys that can roll to the basket
27:02make that pass and finish as Trace misses the first one
27:05America's Got Talent auditions
27:07are coming to Northern California
27:08at the Cache Creek Casino Resort on Friday
27:13so you can scan the QR code
27:15if you've got any talent
27:17Trace missing both free throws there
27:19so Buddy Heald
27:21with GP2
27:23Trace Jackson Davis
27:24Steph and Pachevsky
27:26as mentioned three of the top nine Warriors are out tonight
27:28so the rotations will be different
27:33Higgins
27:35great contest by GP2
27:37better rebound by Damian Mitchell
27:39Mitchell's become a 40% three-point shooter
27:42and right now Q drops it in
27:44you see it happen all the time
27:45the team gets an offensive rebound
27:47and they get a three
27:48it's a great time to shoot a three
27:49the defense is kind of discombobulated out there
27:51he's going to get to the line
27:54he had already shot eight free throws
27:57so Steph saying
27:58hey
27:59I'd like to get into the old free throw game
28:01Steph is saying
28:02I need to get my engine going
28:03I feel like he likes this matchup
28:05but you come off of that screen
28:07you get an angle
28:08Bam Adebayo
28:09was so focused on making sure
28:11he got back to Trace Jackson Davis
28:12because he knows Trace could jump pretty high
28:14and Steph will throw that lob
28:16so
28:17made way for Steph
28:19yeah the 12 All-Stars
28:22that's the franchise record
28:24and when you think of
28:26your Celtics
28:27and your Knickerbockers
28:29and your Warriors teams
28:30have been around since 1946
28:32any time you franchise anything with the Dubs
28:34it's incredibly impressive
28:36that's a good time
28:37gotta be careful
28:42the heater and the bonus
28:43Warriors are going zone here
28:44in the case of their own medicine
28:46on Fantecchio getting his first playing time
28:50the perimeter shooting
28:51Hawkins down low
28:53maybe on Mitchell hit one three
28:55missing there
28:56Fantecchio with the rebound
28:57to put it up and in
28:58against OKC
29:00the Heat got up 111 shots
29:03to the Thunder 77
29:05oh yeah
29:06that's big
29:0733 second chance points
29:08he needs to somehow
29:10maintain possession there
29:12they know who Buddy Heald is
29:16do not let him squeeze off that three
29:18Jamsky just dribble it off his foot
29:21that's three turnovers
29:22but the Heat haven't scored
29:23a point off of their turnovers
29:25it's just rebounding out of the zone
29:27for the Warriors
29:28that could be tough
29:29these last two possessions
29:30where they went zone
29:31they struggled to get the rebound
29:32you just gotta hit someone
29:34there
29:35okay Junior missing there
29:36Trace just batted it to Pajewski
29:38got some team work on the glass
29:41he don't hit threes though
29:43that's a good sign
29:45step into traffic
29:47dropped it for GP2
29:48what a nice delivery there
29:49he took it all the way
29:51to the last second
29:52they dropped it off
29:53took two guys with him
29:55Wiggins are open three
29:56and they ran it bam
29:58and Andrew Wiggins
29:59dropping in the triple
30:00they turn it back on you so fast
30:02they get up and down the floor so
30:03quick
30:04you have to be ready to defend
30:05and communicate
30:06make sure you have your man
30:07maybe I'm Mitchell
30:11higher drops this day in Curry's jersey
30:13the heel will back it out
30:16missed that jumper out of my
30:20with the rebound
30:22Pantecchio
30:24his early shots in transition
30:26with the Warriors
30:27rebounding the ball
30:30fortunate there is GP2
30:32rebounding that miss by Pantecchio
30:34I'm going to let them get too much separation on you
30:37Trace Jackson Davis to Taylor
30:38to lay it up and in
30:39just running the floor
30:41and Steph took him all the way to the baseline
30:43Bam Adebayo was so focused on him
30:45and just kind of cheating off his guy
30:47you got an angle for Trace Jackson Davis
30:50to come right down the middle
30:52so the Heat lead by five
30:53but the Warriors are holding him
30:55to 38% shooting
30:57our four plays of the day
30:59in Miami the Warriors sat
31:01all of the Hall of Famers
31:03they had Norman Powell under control
31:05through three quarters
31:06and then he went crazy in the fourth
31:08seven of eight
31:09with 17 points
31:10and the Heat
31:11ended up with a comfortable victory
31:13yeah he made the adjustment in that game
31:16and crushed you in the fourth
31:18I feel like he has the know-how
31:20and I said that earlier
31:21because his game is so versatile now
31:25it's really hard for him to have a bad game
31:28whether he's driving in there
31:29stepping through
31:30he knows how to get his shot off
31:31really comfortable
31:32he's always been a really good three-point shooter
31:34he gets a good elevation there
31:36well if you go back to 2019-20
31:39our Kia player profile
31:40these are the highest scoring averages
31:42to never be named an all-star
31:44and he could be named this year
31:46you know Jamal Murray
31:47and Norman Powell
31:48they're guys that should definitely
31:50get heavy-duty consideration
31:51for the missed three
31:54for the missed three
31:58Yacuchunas missing that
31:59he was the draft pick
32:01that went with Wiggins
32:03in the Jimmy Butler trade
32:04I like him a lot
32:05forty-six percent for three-point range
32:06he's not going to miss those normally
32:08but he's here in Illinois for Casparas
32:10Yacuchunas at six-five
32:12he's really good playmaker
32:14really good pick and role play
32:15good decision maker out of that
32:16more for missing there
32:17Yacuchunas with the rebound
32:19so they have another like secondary
32:21ball handler playmaker
32:22Yacuchunas
32:23Yacuchunas
32:24so Italy
32:25to Lithuania
32:28Kalei Ware
32:29for the dunk
32:31you're just getting the drives in there
32:33this is the number one team
32:34when it comes to drives
32:35so you're trying to move your feet
32:36and give your help time
32:37so you don't have to come off
32:39and wear that much
32:41Jimmy Butler
32:42nice give and go
32:43just waiting for the cutting
32:45Will Richard
32:46talk about know-how
32:47somebody knows how to move
32:48without the ball
32:49you need to if you're going to
32:50have success playing with the Warriors
32:51but the Warriors are playing with Jimmy Butler
32:52he's looking to pass it to you
32:53but these are those non-step minutes
32:55we always talked about
32:56Al
32:57bouncing into a three
32:58Al Horford coming in for that rebound
33:00but
33:01he had touched the baseline
33:02Pojemski had Fontecchio
33:04boxed out really well
33:06love to come up with those
33:08but watch your drive in here
33:10and Al Horford has to come over
33:12and so that means
33:14Pojemski would like to get over there
33:16and help the helper
33:17but it all happened so fast
33:18he gets wear up high
33:20I guess junior missing there
33:22and Horford's going to stop this
33:23offensive rebounding thing for Miami
33:25and sometimes you just gotta snatch one
33:27slap the ball as hard as you can
33:29I'll give it another open three
33:33and knocked it down
33:34he's been so good
33:35as of late on both ends
33:37so here we go at the base points
33:39where is the winner right now
33:40it's early ten to four
33:41you get a little pick and pod
33:42two defenders go with pods
33:43make the pass back out
33:45what a play by Will Richard
33:47and then deflected out of bounds
33:50and still be he Paul
33:51but Will Richard
33:52it's a lot like D'Anthony Melton
33:54in terms of the wingspan
33:55is special
33:56I was talking about the know-how
33:58know-how with Norman Powell
34:00and with him because usually
34:01you come in the league
34:02and you get
34:04you get Pat Spencer in here
34:06that's why the crowd is going crazy
34:07everybody loves this man
34:08I love this man
34:09but you come in the league
34:10a lot of times just going off
34:11your instinct
34:12your athleticism
34:13there's not a ton of know-how
34:14and to have the kind of know-how
34:15that Will Richard has
34:16moving out the ball
34:17defensively
34:18really welcome
34:19I tell you Moody played
34:20Hawkins Jr. beautifully there
34:22and they've got Miami 9 of 26
34:25shooting
34:26I mean you can live with the 35%
34:27you can't live with these turnovers though
34:29that's not the way
34:31Hawkins Jr. able to finish
34:33you see
34:34you want to throw it over the top
34:35to Jimmy Ball
34:36throw it long
34:37you always want to think about
34:39throwing it where the defense
34:40cannot get it
34:44Butler, Moody, Al
34:46Richard and Pat Spencer
34:47no melting
34:48that's why Spencer's moved up
34:49the rotation
34:51back at six
34:53Butler to the baseline
34:54strong move
34:55and Jimmy to the line
34:57hey did you see Pat Spencer
34:58move without the ball there
34:59he's there in the middle
35:00and then he kind of cleared out
35:02and that made way for Jimmy Butler
35:05he's got the Aloe headband on there
35:07this is the one where you just
35:08try to throw it a little longer
35:10a little higher for Jimmy Butler
35:12now they're off to the races
35:13they're doing good
35:14the fastest paced team in the league
35:15they want to live in fast break
35:17they want to live in transition
35:18it's going to be tougher to play defense
35:19okay I'm going to ask you
35:20based on that last replay
35:22can you kind of eyebrow fake and say
35:24I'm going to fake out and then cut back door
35:26because Montecchio was overplaying him so much
35:28yes well this is one of the things
35:29the Warriors have been doing
35:30much better
35:31taking care of the ball
35:32dealing with the pressure
35:33how do you do it
35:34sometimes you go back door
35:35if a guy is up on you
35:36you can't pass it
35:37you drive by your guy
35:38you use their pressure against them
35:40Steph always does this
35:41if someone's top blocking
35:43what does he do
35:44go back door
35:45right
35:46so Jimmy Butler hits both free throws
35:47he's got eight
35:48what?
35:49and that's off a main free throw
35:50Kahlou Ware all the way to the rim
35:52he is an athletic phenomenon
35:55he kind of reversed it all in one motion
35:58not going to need a shot clock for Miami tonight
36:01Jimmy Butler
36:02the bucket
36:03the body
36:04and the free throw line
36:06Jimmy Butler is aggressive to score
36:09Warriors missed him last game
36:11they found their way without him
36:13but look at this
36:14I mean you throw it over the guy's head
36:17and he catches it with one hand
36:19all in one motion
36:20kind of windmills it in backwards
36:23that was insane
36:24and then Jimmy Butler is always going to find the contact
36:26you talk about know-how
36:28this guy
36:29anytime he gets a step on here
36:31he's jumping into you
36:33the Warriors need this type of Jimmy Butler
36:35especially with
36:36the lack of reduction with D'Anthony Melton not being here
36:39so Jimmy's got eleven
36:41and Wiggins has eleven
36:42the two guys traded for each other
36:43but they're knocking that away
36:44Moody
36:45throw it ahead
36:46JB three
36:48with a down
36:49yeah Jimmy Butler it's only right
36:51because he's the one that got that deflection
36:53and this crowd erupts after that one
36:55I guess
36:57he just lost the ball going up
36:59he was trying to go quick two for one
37:01the Warriors are getting back now
37:03Moody for three
37:04got it
37:05got it
37:07fifteen to four
37:08warrior run
37:10all kinds of momentum here
37:12this crowd is feeling it
37:14shot back off
37:15the Heat can play for one
37:17but
37:18Steph set what a burst by this bench
37:21defense
37:22defense
37:23defense
37:24defense
37:25and Powell
37:26comes up on your arms
37:27there
37:28the Warriors went over the limit since yesterday
37:30losing more free throws
37:32over the limit
37:33yes
37:34I'm just saying
37:35so many fouls early in this game
37:36no you're right
37:37ridiculous
37:38you're right
37:39it's just you're coming in the game thinking about one thing
37:40and it's whack-a-mole something else pops up
37:42you're thinking with this team they don't get to the free throw line on the road
37:45and all of a sudden here they are
37:47but
37:48look at Jimmy Butler
37:49take a swipe at it
37:50you're all over him
37:51you're expecting to drive
37:52get out and run
37:53Pat Spencer get on the ground
37:54get forward in your life
37:55get this crowd into it
37:57finish this quarter strong
37:59you know what Moody just did on that play
38:01he pulled the Steph Curry
38:03because it wasn't just that he got it
38:05he knew if I could flip it into the front court
38:07we got it dunked out
38:08he processed that so quickly
38:10everybody's running
38:12but with Norman Powell
38:14where his game is at right now
38:16and I told you I was talking to my brother
38:18about this
38:19understanding
38:20okay how do I counter move?
38:22how am I going to get my shots?
38:23where are they coming from?
38:24it's so hard for him to have a bad game
38:26because
38:27obviously he's a great player
38:28the ball is going to find him at times
38:29but he knows where to get his shots
38:31he knows how to counter move
38:32it's really tough to stop him from getting what he wants
38:34and he can get a comfortable shot and fold for anybody
38:36you don't really have that usually
38:38come in
38:40so he's there now
38:41so Drew Smith is in
38:42just because Curry
38:43was put in
38:44and they know with 6 seconds left
38:46the Warriors like to play beat the clock with Steph
38:48now Jimmy Butler at 4
38:51Jimmy at 2
38:53Jimmy to end the quarter
38:55halfway down and out
38:57but if you're the Warriors
38:58you got down 7 early
39:00you put on a good burst
39:02you're down 3 of your top 9 rotation guys
39:04and up 2 after the first
39:06to play the way he did the entire 22 run
39:09will be remembered forever
39:11never forget him
39:12dunking on Luca in that playoff series
39:14he was one of the key guys during that playoff run
39:22a huge part of our fabric for his entire run here
39:25we miss him
39:26thank you daddy for helping the Warriors win the NBA
39:32yeah
39:33we love you daddy
39:37we love you daddy
39:39wait
39:40gooooo
39:42the nation
39:43we call him
39:452 way Wiggs
39:47with the dominating presence of the offense
40:47You're going to do that. This is a good three-point shooting team. You've got to get to those shooters. Rotate. Moody out of the corner. He was fouled on that three. So we've had a few of these fouling three-point shooters. Norman Powell, solid defender. Think of the connections tonight. Butler and Wiggins traded for each other. Hawkes was the 18th pick and then Pods was the 19th pick. Like there's, you know, Spolstra and Steve are such good friends and, you know, Spoh, you're going to be an Olympic coach. Steve has already been. They've been on
41:17staff together. Like there's a lot when you play the heat. That is. There is. That was pretty cool.
41:23Moody missed the first one. You know, he's actually learning to play the guitar. I was talking to him on our last road trip and he brings his guitar with him.
41:30And I was like, are you writing songs? Are you composing? No, he's like, no, I'm just learning how to play certain songs.
41:36And it's kind of a way for me to get my mind away from basketball and chill out and just kind of strum a little bit. So I was like, hey, more power to you, man.
41:45This dude is, you talk about a multifaceted human being. I love Moses Moody.
41:51Always credit Rona and Kareem. Every time I see him, I always say, what a fine young man you raised.
41:57Raised the great one, one of our favorites.
42:02He's up on GP2. Oh, man, he is something else.
42:07When you think of him at 41% on threes and the ability to get to the bucket, he's got nine.
42:13Wiggins has 11.
42:14He's now got a smaller defender on him. I feel like he can rise up after just showing it to him.
42:18Snap set it up for Post and dropped in the three.
42:21Okay, Quentin Post is shooting now.
42:23Two for two from three-point range, the pick-and-pop threat that he is.
42:29Perfect play-by-play.
42:31Nope.
42:32You mentioned the fact that they were taking care of it last game.
42:37That was because they struggled the game before, and Smallstrip made sure he addressed that.
42:42So Post, a decision-maker.
42:44That was a little Draymond Jr. right there as he set up GP2.
42:48You need someone to step in for Draymond.
42:50I told you, there's a lot of great decision-makers on this team.
42:53All that focus on Steph.
42:55Okay, go ahead, focus on Steph.
42:57Let Khalil Ware stay up.
42:58Quentin Post is making great decisions.
43:00How about you get your big man throwing lobs to the little big man?
43:05God, I love that action.
43:07A little tick-tock-toe, the heat tick-tock, and the Warriors have the lead.
43:16NBC Sports Bay Area is brought to you by your Bay Area GMC Dealers.
43:22Good luck at chase on MLK Day evening with the Warrior lead at three.
43:28Bob Kaleno with you in game seven of this homestand.
43:31And our great resort and casino winning.
43:34These are the longest-tenured coaches in the various sports in North America.
43:39So Spolstra and Steve, one-two in the NBA.
43:42Andy Reid, John Cooper from the Tampa Bay Lightning, and then Kevin Cash in the American League,
43:46and Dave Roberts in the National League.
43:48What a privilege to have a long tenure as a coach in this league.
43:52Warriors back in the zone.
43:53You mentioned all the different connections.
43:55Both of these coaches are familiar with their coaching style, so it's always a chess match with these two.
44:00Right off the bench, we have Drew Smith at that corner three.
44:04He normally is a good defensive player, but 33% from D.
44:08Well, him and Davion Mitchell are kindred spirits, and they don't pick up full court.
44:12Now you see the zone of the heater in.
44:14Quinton Pellos bottled up and didn't.
44:18Loses patience, got around to Pajewski, missed that three,
44:21but I like how Quinton is handling a lot of the decision-making in the lane.
44:26Lobb and Ware did well to catch it.
44:30Pajewski did well not to give up a dunk, and then they come up with a stop.
44:33Pajewski just fought in there.
44:35Don't give up anything.
44:36Don't concede.
44:38If you're throwing, push him back as far as he can.
44:41Play Steph off the ball a little bit with Smith and Davion Mitchell.
44:45They're sitting in Jersey the whole time.
44:48Pajewski setting up GP2.
44:51Wow, such a good defender.
44:53Ricochet right to Brandon.
44:56He's going to be called for an offensive foul as he laid that in.
45:01Pajewski did the right thing attacking, but from where we were,
45:04it looked like Drew Smith might have gotten over there.
45:06It was a great move to get by Pajewski.
45:08He's outside that restricted circle.
45:11This is a better angle, I think.
45:12He got over there and made himself big.
45:15That's a great call.
45:16Pat Frere, 25 years in the NBA, 91 playoff games and two NBA final games.
45:22And there are these lobs to wear.
45:24He's tough to just keep away from the rim.
45:27But you see what happens when you take a beat like Larson did there.
45:30The fact that he just kind of paused, he saw Klick post his cheat off of where.
45:35Both teams have 20 points in the paint.
45:39Pajewski floater and he got it.
45:42And that may be where you want to attack this team the most.
45:45Both teams guard the three ball really well.
45:47And the worst part of the Heat's defense is guarding inside.
45:51Got to run Powell off the three-point line.
45:54He had made that just start the bus.
45:57He was right through the lane and 180 just threw it behind him.
46:01Oh, he's drifting away.
46:02Maybe missing that three.
46:03Pajewski post an offensive rebound.
46:07Pajewski, the open three.
46:09Batted back out.
46:10Curry the third time around.
46:13And the Heat are just fortunate dodging bullets left and right.
46:15He's been shooting the threesome while the last three.
46:20And he just got worried about game number four as Powell is fouled.
46:24And they've gone a little cold lately here.
46:26And again, Powell doing the same thing.
46:28Seeing if he can get inside.
46:31And he's going to attack Quinton post, whoever's on him.
46:34But definitely if Big is on him, he's got the quickness advantage.
46:37Just his recognition is lightning quick now.
46:40There's no hesitation to his game.
46:42He's had every single role in his career.
46:44And he actually said at UCLA, it was the same for him.
46:47He had every single role.
46:49So he just was prepared for what his NBA career was going to be.
46:53He's coming off the bench.
46:54He's the star.
46:55He's not championship in Toronto against the Warriors.
46:59He's not phased by any role.
47:01He's like, I could be a star in any role.
47:02But I do want to start.
47:04And I'm cool with being the guy.
47:05The Warriors shop on into the game.
47:07The new Dubs hoodie and save 30%.
47:09Yes.
47:10With code IMTG30.
47:12Come on.
47:12It's shop.warriors.com.
47:14Will you be mad that I say that Norman Powell is a four-year college player?
47:17I would be mad.
47:18I would expect it.
47:20I'm getting used to this.
47:21And, yeah, again, he's one of those guys that played every role in college.
47:27And being there for four years really helped in his growth.
47:30And it was the right move for him.
47:32But with Kentucky guys, a lot of times we don't need all those four years.
47:35That's just kind of how it goes.
47:36I know you struggle to accept this fact.
47:39But Jepsky, Pat Spencer with Moody out and Jimmy Butler.
47:44Work for missing out.
47:45Moody just guides it home.
47:47Moses.
47:48Warriors need to get their crash rate up.
47:52Could be a big part of the Warriors arsenal.
47:55They only have four points, second-chance points, though.
47:57They are inside.
47:58Patzemski took it away with Pat Spencer.
48:01Spencer running with Brandon.
48:04Odds will decide.
48:05A floater.
48:06Patzemski's got seven.
48:08I like that fast break.
48:09I always think Pat Spencer throwing it across the court while you're running like that.
48:14They gave Pods the angle there.
48:16He's meant to do that one-quarter three.
48:21Larsen will rock into the triple.
48:23And now Horford.
48:24I like the way Al's defensive rebounding.
48:26You don't have Draymond tonight.
48:27You don't have Guy Santos.
48:29Get some rebounding into your life.
48:30You're defending the three-ball while two.
48:32We're having a tough time finding some high-percentage ones.
48:34The Heat are five of 17.
48:36Warriors are five of 16.
48:38That one knocked out of bounds.
48:39Still Warrior ball.
48:41Wiggins had some quick hands.
48:42He is two-way wigs.
48:43We've talked about this.
48:46Here's a steal.
48:47As soon as Ware brought it down, Podjips is like, great news.
48:50This is where I can shine now.
48:52As soon as Pat Spencer changed sides of the floor while they're running and threw it over to him,
48:57he was like, great news again.
48:59I can attack.
48:59And it's little things for even high school college players.
49:02Brandon had his eyes up and was looking at the ball.
49:04He wasn't just running, saying, no, Pat's got the ball.
49:07He was aware of it.
49:09And that one, 24-second violation before Spencer could get that off.
49:13If you're not looking at the ball and you're playing basketball, you should probably...
49:16No, but I'm saying sometimes when you're spreading out, for a second, you won't be looking dead last.
49:21But it was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
49:22I mean, that's the NBA you do.
49:24Who can do the best in the world?
49:26Contechio halfway down and outboard for another defensive rebound.
49:31What is he defending the three ball?
49:32Really long.
49:35Jimmy Butler initiated some contact.
49:37Moody for three.
49:39Moses!
49:41Man, has he been up and on shooting threes the last four games.
49:44With Andrew Wiggins and his length coming at you, no problem.
49:48One-faced.
49:49He was 15-23 coming in.
49:51And he's 2-4 tonight.
49:53Moody from three point lands was spectacular.
49:57Bam Adebayo, defunded by Pajewski.
49:59And that's what happens when you have great on-ball defense.
50:02Al Horford, we've been talking about him and his agility and ability to move his feet.
50:07That's one where you get the switch, and Jimmy Butler kind of took Bam Adebayo away from Moses Moody
50:16for just enough time for him to kind of set it up.
50:18Look at the last three games for him.
50:21I mean, do you have the two of four?
50:2217 of 27 on three games.
50:26There's Hottie then there's Red Hottie.
50:29I'm missing there.
50:31Contechio will track it down.
50:32Will Richard steals that?
50:34Oh, wait a minute.
50:35Wait a minute.
50:37Bam Adebayo doesn't have a foul, and he's going to give the Heat the ball?
50:40Oh, come on now.
50:43The whole thing is to the approximate foul thing.
50:46They're going to challenge him.
50:47Yeah, that's what Steve's going to say.
50:50Is that did the contact create an advantage?
50:53Yeah, by you smashing into him, he lost the ball out of bounds.
50:55That should have been called correctly.
50:58There will be a replay challenge, and we will find out if it is.
51:01To do my part in honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,
51:06because there's still work to be done.
51:10There's a foundation that needs to be settled in our society
51:15that his life and his legacy still point at,
51:20and I think we're always, and as a parent, for me,
51:23it's always important to continue to leave society in a better place for my kids.
51:27It's not about you.
51:28It's more what you can give to somebody, you know, that's fortunate.
51:32He's a once-in-a-lifetime mover of people
51:35and what they believe in and what they stand for,
51:38and it has an everlasting impact even today.
51:40NBA family honors Dr. King.
51:47MLK Day, always special in the NBA.
51:50Well, you always have to pay homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
51:54Like, I have the opportunities I have today because of what he fought for.
51:59He fought for justice, equality, the civil rights movement.
52:01His legacy is still alive and well.
52:04He wants a foul on Davion Mitchell.
52:06And the boy who got the possession, and Pat Spencer missing that three.
52:13Mitchell driving.
52:14And looking at the mid-round around the mound.
52:17And Buddy healed.
52:17He played D and then went back and got the rebound.
52:20And tonight, getting the rebound is critical.
52:24He team at 33 second-chance points against OJC.
52:28And non-step minutes, Jimmy Butler, time to regulate.
52:36Tyler flipping that up and out.
52:37Fantecchio fighting for it.
52:39Out of bounds to the Dubs.
52:40This last stretch here, end of the half, see if the Warriors can get a little more separation,
52:46have a push here.
52:47You know, Eric Spoelstra will be saying the same thing to his team.
52:51Like, you've got to find a way.
52:54Yeah, the Warriors won that challenge because of the proximate foul rule, by the way.
52:57Mitchell's.
52:58There's one fouling Will Richard.
52:59Warriors throw that one away on the out-of-bounds.
53:02Bam out of bio.
53:03Flipping it up and in is Pelo Larson Bam.
53:08Full name, Idris out of bio.
53:11You always say that.
53:12Looks like Jabberant, Demetrius, Jamel.
53:15I mean, people need to know their full name.
53:16That's true.
53:17So six points off Warriors turnovers.
53:20They're still winning that points off turnover battle.
53:23Over corner three.
53:24And Kentucky a good box out.
53:26But Will Richard, give me that.
53:27Oh, and then he missed the layup.
53:30Oh, Will will want that back.
53:31Couldn't get it off glass, and it ticked off iron.
53:38Wiggins, the tornado move.
53:39We've seen that before.
53:41Yes.
53:42Anytime he has space in the middle, look out.
53:45It's a rough four-point swing.
53:46You have to layup there.
53:47Wiggins layup on the other end.
53:50Wiggins' biggest lead has been five.
53:52Wiggins' biggest lead has been seven.
53:53Buddy by the last on that three.
53:55You've got to make that zone work a little more.
53:58Carson, I'm hoping, will pick up the foul.
54:01If you can get the ball in the middle, move the ball around, really make that defense work.
54:07In that zone, you're kind of just playing into their hand.
54:09If you don't change sides of the floor, you don't get into the middle.
54:13I think they're too versatile there defensively with that zone.
54:16Three years in Arizona, one year at Utah, and Jack in the Box says,
54:20give me some Pelo Larson free throws.
54:23My fan favorite, Chicken Supreme, is back, starting at 549.
54:30Playing defense in the NBA is so hard as Larson misses the first free throw.
54:34He's 32% from three-point range.
54:36Yeah, he's probably a better shooter than that.
54:38But you think about him being a driver right now,
54:42and you're just trying to back up a little bit, move your feet.
54:44Again, this is the number one team in the league when it comes to drives.
54:47They're trying to get inside.
54:49They're trying to get their points in the paint,
54:50even though they're a solid three-point shooting team.
54:53Tonight, they're 5 of 18 from three-point range.
54:56He made the second one.
54:57You want the good news or the bad news right now with 4.22 left.
55:01Let's go bad news first.
55:02Well, the bad news is that Steph Curry is one of four shooting and has only foul points.
55:08The good news is you have the lead.
55:10There you go.
55:10Buddy, he'll hit in the three.
55:12Again, we've seen this as Steph before.
55:14A lot of pressure.
55:16They're all focused on him.
55:18Grab your defense as he's trying to make plays for others.
55:21Maybe I'll pitch on Will Richard.
55:23Maybe I'll pick up the foul on Richard.
55:27I'm saying if you're spolter like,
55:29Curry has four shot attempts and only five points.
55:31The average is 28 a game.
55:33You're like, hey, we're getting it done.
55:34Oh, wait, the Warriors are still winning.
55:35Well, that's what the rest of the league is starting to find out now.
55:38The way the Warriors are playing so well offensively,
55:40multiple guys playing well means multiple.
