US President Donald Trump on Jan 19 said the United States would talk about acquiring Greenland at this week's Davos World Economic Forum in Switzerland because Denmark cannot protect the territory.

Trump also commented on a message he reportedly wrote to the Norwegian government regarding the Nobel Peace Prize and French President Emmanuel Macron's unwillingness to join the Gaza Board of Peace.

00:00So we saw a great game tonight. Congratulations to Indiana.
00:24What do you plan to say the European leaders in Dallas when they push back on your Greenland plan?
00:29Well, I don't think they're going to push back too much. Look, we have to have it. They have to have this done.
00:35They can protect it. Denmark, they're wonderful people.
00:38And I know the leaders are very good people, but they don't even go there.
00:44And, you know, because a boat went there 500 years ago and then left, that doesn't give you title to property.
00:51So we'll be talking about it with the various people.
00:55We've had tremendous success. And, you know, I've done more for NATO than anybody else.
01:01I don't think you'd have NATO right now. I got them to go 5% and pay as opposed to 2% and not pay.
01:09I've done more than any other American president for NATO by far.
01:13And we'll see how that goes. But Greenland is very important.
01:17Do you have any response to President Macron saying he will not join the port of peace?
01:21Oh, did he say that? Well, nobody wants him because he's going to be out of office very soon.
01:26So, you know, that's all right. What I'll do is if they feel like Costo, I'll put a 200% tariff on his wines and champagnes and he'll join.
01:35But he doesn't have to join. If he said that, you're probably giving it to me a little bit differently.
01:41But if he actually did say that. But as you know, he's going to be out of office in a few months.
01:46Have you invited President Putin to be a member of the Board of Peace?
01:50Yeah, he's been invited.
01:52Do you invite President Putin to join the president?
01:55Yes, he's one of the people. He's the world leaders. And the answer is yes.
02:00Can you speak to your planner that he wrote to the Prime Minister saying that the Nobel Prize has influenced your thinking on Greenland?
02:08No, I don't care about the Nobel Prize. First of all, a very fine woman felt that I deserved it and really wanted me to have the Nobel Prize.
02:17And I appreciate that. If anybody thinks that Norway doesn't control the Nobel Prize, they're just kidding.
02:26They have a board, but it's controlled by Norway. And I don't care what Norway says.
02:30But I really don't care about that. What I care about is saving lives.
02:35And I think I've saved tens of millions of lives. If you look at India, Pakistan, just as one, two nuclear powers.
02:44You look at so many of the countries that were in a 30, in some cases, a 35 year war. And I got it done.
02:52We stopped eight wars and maybe we'll be stopping at night very soon. We'll see.
02:57Goodbye, everybody. Have a good flight. Thank you.
03:00Take sense, the girl, President.
