00:00Scooter Braun is retiring from artist management after more than two decades.
00:05Braun, known for managing major music stars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande,
00:09says he will now focus instead on his role as a board member and CEO of the U.S. division of HYBE,
00:15the South Korean entertainment giant.
00:17He shared the news in a lengthy social media post, writing,
00:2023 years. That's how long I have been a music manager.
00:23Along the way, I've had so many experiences I could never have dreamt of.
00:27I've been blessed to have had a Forrest Gump-like life while witnessing and taking part in the journeys
00:32of some of the most extraordinarily talented people the world has ever seen.
00:36I'm constantly pinching myself and asking, how did I get here?
00:39And after 23 years, this chapter as a music manager has come to an end.
00:43Braun rose to fame and acclaim with Bieber, who he helped discover.
00:46He helped to build Bieber's career and subsequently build a roster of A-list talent
00:50that included Grande, Jay Belvin, Demi Lovato, Dan and Shay, and many others.
00:55In his post, he gave special shout-outs to many of the artists that he's worked with over the years,
01:00including Bieber and Grande.
01:02He wrote,
01:02Justin and Ariana were both teenagers when I began with them.
01:06Justin, a 13-year-old kid busking in Canada, and Ariana, a young actress on Nickelodeon.
01:11To see them both come up to be the legends they are today will forever be one of my greatest honors.
01:16As we change our working relationships now, I will continue to root for them
01:19with the same passion that I did at each of their humble beginnings.
