Perth's median house price has broken through the one-million-dollar mark. Domain's latest quarterly house price report revealed the milestone, but it's left future homeowners worried they'll be further priced out of the market.

00:27last quarter of 2025 to slightly more than $1.08 million.
00:33The report also found house prices in more than 50 Perth suburbs have doubled in the last
00:39five years.

01:24can play an important role in ensuring that every Western Australian has a place to live.
01:29With an additional eight Perth suburbs now registering a median house price of $1 million,
01:34there's concern some people will be priced out of the housing market, especially the most
01:39vulnerable.
01:40People are paying well over 40% of their income on paying their mortgage and rent, and there's
01:45more and more families in stress.
01:47Making it tougher for home buyers looking to enter an already overheated housing market.
